Before all of this, she had to give up her only chance to be with Akko because her guilt stops her to. When she reaches the Grand Triskellion, she receives one of the cruelest revelations. That magic was never in danger making it truly feel like every decision Chariot has made up to this point has been AllForNothing.

Chariot finally accepts that she is the worst witch in history and desperately apologizes to her beloved student for failing her.

This means all the terrible things she did stays that way much to her despair. She has destroyed her entire career and reputation over nothing and will most likely be hunt down by her own kind for what she did to them.

* Chariot's utter refusal to leave Croix alone and unmoving will to protect her [[spoiler: when the cube dragon emerges. Her reasons for such are not just because she cares about Croix, but also because she still feels like she hasn't done enough to atone for "stealing" Croix's dream and Akko's magic.]]

** Despite all the power and wisdom she possesses, even Woodward could not have foreseen this outcome. She then left in severe disappointment and embarrassment that she allowed her and her friends' entire legacy to go into ruin.

All that's left is her awaiting her student who she believes is going to give her the punishment she deserves, finally accepting she is the worst witch in the history of worst witches.

** Croix got what she wants but she can't even use the world altering magic meaning all the terrible things she did including destroying her entire career and reputation stays that way. She didn't humiliate herself and everyone in Luna Nova, she humiliate every Witch in the entire planet.

* The tragic falling out of Chariot and Croix, two witches who had once been utterly inseparable and resolved to work together to return magic to the world. In the present, all of their interactions are tinged with bitterness (and from Croix's side, downright resentment). Yet despite everything, its implied that neither have been able to completely let go of the bond they once shared. By the end of the show though, it's left without a doubt that in spite of all the hurt they caused each other, they ultimately still love each other to the point of being willing to sacrifice their lives to protect the other. Thankfully, [[HeartwarmingMoments the finale indicates that their relationship is beginning to mend]].

* Though it counts as a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming, too, Croix leaving to find a cure for Wagandea's pollen is also quite sad. She vows to not return until she does so (and it's also implied that she'll be serving time in prison for her crimes), meaning she won't be seeing her best friend that she recently made up with for a while.

** Akko made a colossal victory last episode by bringing her rival and [[spoiler:new friend]] back to Luna Nova and unlocking another word of the Shiny Rod and still her admiration towards Shiny Chariot gets looked down upon and it was by Ursula. Fridge Tear Jerker kicks in from Episode 15, Akko meant everyone including Ursula in the school think her idol is an embarrassment. When Croix 'assists' Akko in searching Wagandea where Chariot had went to only confirm if the pollen was active, Croix explains to her that she hadn't heard of an Ursula Calistis nor she and Chariot had met her. Akko is driven to shock and fear because at the start when she learned about the Shiny Rod's true purpose, she hoped that she would meet Chariot again but with that new piece of information, she starts to wonder if her Quest was all for nothing and that her kind teacher had used her love for Chariot to manipulate her for her own gain. The next time she meets Ursula again, Akko's DeathGlare shows how devastated she was and she screams in rage why her teacher is trying so hard to stop her from finding her idol.
** Ursula was overjoyed that the Shiny Rod was near completion but due to it, she accidentally pushes Akko to search the meaning of the words on her own. When Akko wanted to go to Wagandea and wasn't stopping about going there, Ursula had to be a bit more strict towards her student. Suddenly, she heard that Croix has taken Akko to Wagandea. Ursula desperately went in to save her but learned the harsh truth of how far her old friend has fallen to the point that she would destroy Akko's own future. Ursula's reaction is pure AdultFear. As she fights everything that Croix sends at her, she finally reaches Akko but Croix successfully turns Akko against Chariot. Ursula tries her best to convince her student that Wagandea was about to be open and to come with her but Akko has had enough and rants on that she didn't care about the Words or the Grand Triskellion, Akko only wanted to see Shiny Chariot again. Despite the numerous troubles she has brought to the witch community, Akko hasn't lost faith in her former idol. Upon hearing all this, Ursula is nearly driven to tears as she hurt her precious student because of her secrets.

* The fact this was the first time Woodward, Chariot and Croix were together ever since the quest for the Grand Triskellion started is just sad in itself as this was the last time Woodward will see the two. This whole Quest caused a series of misfortunes with Croix's path to darkness, Chariot's greatest mistake and the thousands of young girls losing their potential in magic. The Quest that had great hopes now ended in a somber note.
* What about Chariot? She spent an entire decade in hiding out of shame for accidentally using the Dream Fuel Spirit that robs children of their magic. When she finally has some bit of happiness, her past catches up to her and destroys her beloved student. Even though she stopped Croix, the cost was too high. Her friendship with Croix will never likely be repaired and any chance that she could have in redeeming herself to Akko is impossible and now, magic will be gone forever. All of this is because she was chosen.
* Woodward may be the founder of all magic but even she herself is disgusted how far her and the Nine Older Witches' legacy has fallen and its all because of the actions of Chariot and Croix. The quest to revive magic was merely a simple task but the two just make it into a violent competition where it is a matter of life and death. When Croix yells at Woodward to leave, the ancient witch willingly complies and coldly abandons the two in the Arcturus Forest.
** It was more than abandonment, Woodward outright disowns them. Chariot's look of despair was brief but heartbreaking as the clearest way to know that you are the worst witch ever is this. It's no wonder Chariot felt no longer worthy to have the Shiny Rod or to Akko.

** If you pay attention, you don't hear any word from Chariot about her guilt about destroying the magical world. Chariot didn't care for it at all and would rather let the age of Witches to fade from existence because a world without Croix and Akko is one place she refused to stay in.

* Woodward was happy that magic has been restored and people's beliefs on it has been renewed. However, its implied that Chariot and Croix has cut all ties with Woodward.

** Not only that, the look Chariot had when Woodward abandons her and Croix was brief but heart breaking. There was no doubt like how Diana reacted to Chariot, Chariot could only be disappointed more than ever on how Woodward treats her and Croix. This is the MeaningfulEcho used in the worst way possible.

* The chef's bitterness towards Constanze shows that despite the energy crisis having being resolved in Episode 14, many of the work force are still bitter at the Witches for their poor treatment towards them. Thankfully, they still trust Akko because she's the only one who sacrificed much for them.

* Woodward, despite having all the wisdom in the world, merely leaves and abandons Chariot and Croix. She herself is disgusted that a simple quest to revive magic has become a violent competition of life and death.

** Jasminka [[spoiler: is possessed by a gluttony demon that will escape her body and destroy everything if she does not constantly eat to keep it satiated.]][[note]]This is almost ''certainly'' creator trolling.[[/note]]

** [[spoiler:And how does Diana save Akko's life? By willingly stopping the ritual that would have made her the head of House Cravendish, leaving the family in the oppressive hands of her EvilAunt.]]

* What happens after that was Akko revealing why she's risking everything to go climb a tree that would strip her of her magic. She wanted to see Chariot again. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Ursula's reaction]] to it was devastating.
* The entire episode was where Akko and Ursula's relationship was put to the test.

* After last episode, Ursula spent her time in her room staring at the moon she scarred long ago. Then came Diana who informs her that Akko hasn't return. Ursula was shock to hear this and knew that it was her fault why this happens. As Ursula asks that she wasn't in the mood to talk to Diana, she looks ready to tear up that her student was gone.
* Despite Diana had every right to yell at Chariot, it was just painful to do it. She became a talented student because of Chariot. To see her how far she had fallen when she abandoned Akko, Diana's image of Chariot was crushed just as Akko had.

Despite all the advise to be your own witch, Chariot failed to do that and emulated too much from her mentor, Woodward, right down to all her bad traits. Chariot found the answer that could have saved everything she held dear but her look of dismay showed that answer came at a devastating cost, it was too late as her friendship with Croix could never be repaired and Chariot has ''lost'' Akko forever. Whatever the piles of guilt she had, this one was where Chariot was finally broken.

** Amanda [[spoiler: was sent to Luna Nova to learn fortune telling in order to ensure her family's massive, wealthy business empire prospers. Obviously, she's not happy at being treated like that by her family, and this is why she's so rebellious and constantly trying to get kicked out of Luna Nova.]]
** Jasminka [[spoiler: is possessed by a gluttony demon that will escape her body and destroy everything if she does not constantly eat to keep it satiated.]]
*** And even though her constant eating has a justified reason, she still gets in trouble for stealing food/eating during class. It's really not Jasminka's fault, but she still suffers the consequences, anyway.
** Constanze [[spoiler: was so sick as a child that her soul had to be removed and placed in the Stanbot (or numerous Stanbots) in order to ensure her survival. If her soul were to return to her body, she'll get sick again, so she's forced to live as an undead lich.]]
