Sam get in the elevator with Freddie, and she stops it to ask Freddie if they doing the same thing as Jenna and Spencer. Sam thinks the kiss was merely "intense" claiming the two don't click ''that'' way. Then they talk about how each other is not suited for the other. Freddie is too normal for Sam, and Sam is too abnormal for Freddie. They then realize they have broken up. Sam then un-pauses the elevator and it lands in the apartment, where Sam tells him that she loves him (in an abusively twisted way. There's a {{beat}}. And they kiss. Moments from the [[Series/ICarly2021 revival]] go [[Tearjerker/ICarly2021 here]].

** Spencer and Carly's final interaction while she's packing her bags in her bedroom. Might not mean much to some, but as a big brother... Well, let's take a moment and remember that this guy practically raised her for five years. Remember all of the moments she got mad at him, angrily berated him yet they reconciled, and all of the quirky little moments they shared. They took care of each other. Arguably one of the sweetest brother-sister relationships on television. And when Spencer tries to bid farewell to his little sister... she tells him not to, because it'd be too emotional. He does it anyway, and...well, I had trouble seeing through the flood of tears.
*** Fridge tearjerker when you remember how long Miranda Cosgrove and Jerry Trainor have collaborated.
!![[Tearjerker/ICarly2021 Revival Series]]

!!Meta
* After the original show ended its run in December 2012, the iCarly website was still operational and accessible to everyone. However, with Dan Schneider's departure from Nickelodeon, the site was shut down on April 4, 2018. Those who grew up with the show and said website are sad that it's gone for good.
** Another meta example is when Sam's actress Jennette [=McCurdy=] mentioned in 2019 that she had dealt with an eating disorder, suffered severe mental health issues her whole life and depression throughout her entire time on the original show and was told to eat less by her mother, who encouraged her to hide it from a concerned fellow parent, though she maintained that her mother was doing the best she could in competitive Hollywood.
** Made even more saddening in 2021, when Jennette was revealed to have quit on-camera acting in movies and TV shows permanently because of the trauma and depression she experienced growing up, having suffered severe mental health issues her whole life including her eating disorder, how much she had resented her past acting career and that she felt very ashamed, embarrassed, and dejected of working on the original series, making the chances of Sam returning in the series revival to be very slim.

!!Revival Series
* The premiere is somber to say the least. Carly and Freddie (now in their mid-20's) are finally reunited, but their relationship may never be the same again with all the hardship they endured while living apart separately over the last several years, having dealt with majorly heart-wrenching plights in their early adulthood. On top of that, both Sam and Gibby are gone for good and the returning main cast is having trouble dealing with it.
** The opening scene has Carly being dumped by her new boyfriend Beau under the impression that he was gonna propose while Freddie is revealed to be divorced (twice, actually), a Silicon Valley tech start-up he launched failed after he graduated from Harvard, and he is now back to living with [[MyBelovedSmother his mother.]] And she has not changed one bit.
** There's also a scene featuring Carly and Freddie having a one-on-one heart-to-heart chat reflecting on their struggles in early adulthood as they revisit and start to rekindle their romance from scratch, wanting to be creative and while Freddie mentions that she doesn't need a partner, Carly mentions she doesn't ''need'' a partner, she [[TrueCompanions needs Sam]], but they both know that she has moved on with her life and went her own separate way hanging out with a motorcycle gang, an obvious illusion of Jennette's desire to not return to the show and do her own thing.
* Millicent (the closest thing to a daughter Freddie has) makes it clear in the first episode that she doesn't consider Freddie her father, merely an estranged stepfather who adopted her and shares joint custody with his ex wife (her biological mother), which visibly hurts him.

* Freddie in ''iSaved Your Life''. The couple looked so happy and cute together, and then Sam gets into his head with the bacon theory, that Carly doesn't really love him but the fact that he saved her. You can tell he's not comfortable with the situation at all, and that even ''kissing'' Carly feels like he's doing the wrong thing. The way he 'retreats', and then his "What did I do" introspection (And even shouting it again in the extended version of the episode). That whole episode cemented both Freddie's woobie status, as he just cannot catch a break (even from his own conscience), and cemented just how strong his convictions are. But still, [[TheWoobie poor guy.]]

After spending the first 2 seasons suffering from a one-sided unrequited crush, he ''finally'' gets Carly to become enamored with him, but at the cost of sacrificing himself in front of a food truck. The couple looked so happy and cute together, until Sam got into his head with the foreign bacon theory, that Carly doesn't really love him personally but merely admires his heroism and delighted by the fact that he just risked his life to rescue her. You can tell he's uncomfortable with the plight, and that even ''kissing'' Carly feels like he's doing the wrong thing. * The first episode shows Despite being reunited in the revival and rekindling their romance after being apart for 8 years, Carly and Freddie dealing with major emotional blows (now in their adult years. mid-20's) have endured majorly heart-wrenching plights in their early adulthood. The opening scene of the series revival has Carly being dumped by her new boyfriend Beau under the impression that he was gonna propose. propose while Freddie is revealed to be twice divorced, divorced (twice, actually), a tech start-up he launched failed, failed after he, and is now back to living with [[MyBelovedSmother his mother.]] And she has not changed one bit.
** There's also Carly and Freddie talking about having a heart-to-heart chat reflecting on their struggles in early adulthood, wanting to be creative and while Freddie mentions that she doesn't need a partner, Carly mentions she doesn't ''need'' a partner, she [[TrueCompanions needs Sam]], but she knows Sam is off "with that biker gang", an obvious illusion of Jenette's desire to not return to the show and do her own thing.
* Millicent makes it clear in the first episode "iStart Over", she doesn't consider Freddie her father, merely step father, a stepfather who adopted her and shares custody with his ex wife (her biological mother), which visibly hurts Freddie.

* After the show ended the iCarly website was still operational and accessible to everyone. However, with Dan Schneider's departure from Nickelodeon, the site was shutdown on April 4, 2018. Those who grew up with the show and the said website are sad that it's gone for good.
** Another meta example is when Sam's actress Jennette [=McCurdy=] revealed in 2019 that she has dealt with an eating disorder during her entire time on the show and was told to eat less by her mother, who encouraged her to hide it from a concerned fellow parent, though she maintained that her mother was doing the best she could in competitive Hollywood.
** Made even more saddening in 2021, when Jennette revealed to have quit acting permanently because of the trauma she experienced throughout her career and that she was ashamed of working on iCarly, making the chances of Sam returning in the series revival to be very slim.

* Freddie in ''iSaved Your Life''. The couple looked so happy and cute together, and then Sam gets into his head with the bacon theory.
