* Aya losing her entire family in a very short time. Her heavily injured twinbrother gets taken away, and she's told that she'll never see him again, and the rest of her relatives are going to kill her because she's the reincarnation of a celestial maiden. She ends up killing those relatives with the maiden's powers, and her father [[TakingTheBullet throws himself in front of her]]. All the while, she's begging her grandfather to get him help. And to top all of that off, her mother goes insane from grief and tries to [[OffingTheOffspring commit murder-suicide]] with her, but ends up in a coma. Fortunately, her mother eventually wakes up from the coma.

He hated the experiments that lead to [[NiceGuy Aki]] getting taken over by the Ancestor, and saw the artificial Mana wrapping itself around him, restoring the Ancestor's original body. Alec is seen cowering and shivering in a corner.

** And Ceres kept wandering around with her children, desperately searching for her Mana that she needed to live. To not avail, and as Ceres is dying, her thoughts turn to her children. Worried that they'll grow up without a mother, she hopes that they will find happiness in life and that, someday, she could return to them. Ceres' main reason for being reincarnated wasn't revenge. Just a desire to see her children.

** The true story shows that they were genuinely in love with each other, but when Ceres shared some of her power with Mikagi, he became drunk on it and turned violent, angry, and jealous. When Ceres tried to escape with her children, Mikagi found them and ended up killing his oldest child. Furious and saddended at her husband's change, Ceres kills him. A love story that turned very ugly.

** Touya gets the Ancestor to let Shotaro go, while he remains as a hostage himself. Shotaro doesn't fully understand the truth behind things, but Touya calmly acts as the Dr Kiritani he was to the kid and tells him how to get out of the place. He keeps smiling until Shotaro leaves the room.

** The true story shows that they were genuinely in love with each other, but when Ceres shared some of her power with Mikagi, he became drunk on it and turned violent, angry, jealous, and ended up raping her. When Ceres tried to escape with her children, Mikagi found them and ended up killing his oldest child. Furious and saddended at her husband's change, Ceres kills him. A love story that turned into one of domestic violence and hate.

Aside from Shuro having been in love with him for years, even joining show business to be with him, he had just revealed to her that [[HiddenDisdainReveal he was tired of being overshadowed by her amazing singing voice]]. His death hits her so hard, she uses her celestial powers in a way that would have [[DrivenToSuicide killed her]], had Aya not managed to soothe Shuro by grieving along with her.

* [[spoiler: Ceres' first death, revealed in a flashback in the last volume. After having killed Mikagi, Ceres desperately searches for her lost mana with her two remaining children, but to no avail. She dies without ever finding her mana, her dying thoughts hoping that her children will find happiness in life and that someday she could return to them, meaning that her main reason for reincarnating herself was to be reunited with her children, since she never wanted to leave them.]]

* Tooya and Yuuhi's [[spoiler: infiltration of the Mikage Corporation.]] Let us go through the whole thing.
** Yuuhi finds Chidori [[spoiler: changed into her tennyo form, weak and just happy to be rescued by the man she loves... and then she dies from TakingTheBullet]]. And not long after does Yuuhi realize that [[spoiler: he did love Chidori]].
** The anime version of this scene deserves some mention, as Yuuhi screams and cries hysterically. Creator/KentaroIto really made the scene gutwrenching.
* Tooya [[spoiler: being captured by Aki/Shiso, with Chidori's younger brother Shouta held as hostage]]. Of course, the poor kid has no idea of what is really going on, and Tooya just calmly [[spoiler: pretends to be the doctor Shouta had known him as]] while guiding him out. He smiles at the boy until he's gone.
** And all the while, the scene of Aya happily contemplating her [[spoiler: pregnancy and life with Tooya]] is juxtaposed with [[spoiler: Chidori's death and Aki/Shiso's torture of Tooya]].
** The horror of seeing [[spoiler: Tooya dead in front of him jars Aki enough to briefly regain control of himself]]. Finally seeing him really break out again after a long time tends to be a bit emotional for some, especially after what he had just done.
* Tooya and Aya's reunion, whereupon he learns about [[spoiler: his baby for the first time, along with the realization that he is finally getting the family he always wanted]].
