* ''Franchise/JohnWick'':
** ''Film/JohnWickChapter3Parabellum'':
*** In the armory fight scene, John and his opponents throw several knives at each other but many of them fail to land point first. In additions, the ones that do stick in don't penetrate very deep, so it takes multiple knife hits (or one directly to the head) to fully down an assassin.
*** Bullets that aren't designed to be fired upon underwater wouldn't work like they are supposed to, as their lethality and velocity would drop drastically. In addition, guns are more likely to jam underwater since they can't eject bullet casings efficiently. [[spoiler:John must shoot from no more than point-blank range to actually take down his enemies underwater.]]
*** Both times someone goes up against someone larger, it takes some time to defeat them one on one. [[spoiler:John only manages to beat the ''very'' tall Ernest with some improvised weaponry, and later on beats Zero's best students once he manages to separate the two, as he's at least a head taller than either]].
*** There are a few shots where Wick staggers heavily armored goons by shooting them in the mask and throat so he can close the distance and get a confirmed kill. The masks can block the bullet but it's like being pelted and the throat and other joints in any armored suit must necessarily be exposed to allow movement. Also during the fight even though shots to the head with standard bullets don't pierce the helmets they're still bullets and hit with more than enough force to stun and knock them flat on the ground.

** A lesser example is when Del, seeing that Neal could get a motel room for about half the cost of rent plus his expensive watch, offers the motel clerk a couple of dollars and a cheap watch hoping for the same result. The clerk (politely) declines Del's offer. The next scene is Del sitting in the burned remains of his rental car on a snowy night, with no windows or roof.

* In ''Film/RoboCop1987'' [[CastTheExpert the director hired paramedics]] and told them to do what they would ''actually'' do if presented with a dying patient with fatal gunshot wounds. Most of the dialog was written (or ad-libbed) on the spot, and the scene holds up very well.

** Revolvers hold a maximum of 6 bullets and usually one chamber is left empty as a safety measure. After going dry, both Book and McFee can't shoot anymore and are forced to flee from each other.

* ''Film/BackToTheFuturePartII'': When the Western Union delivery guy arrives with Doc's message from 1885, he tells Marty that there was a betting pool in the office as to whether Marty would actually be there (he lost).

* ''Film/GriffTheInvisible'':
** Three dates is not enough to consider yourself in a relationship, especially if one of the parties has clearly been ambivalent about it from the beginning.
** Being late all the time, breaking into your place of work after hours, and hacking your coworker will get you fired.
** The police actually have better things to do than prosecute a wannabe superhero who hasn't been hurting anyone.
* ''Film/{{Highlander}}'': Connor Macleod heals overnight from what should have been a fatal stab wound, a sword through the chest. In fact as one of the clansmen points out, he was verifiably stone-cold dead on the slab the previous evening. Rather than being in awe or overjoyed at his miraculous recovery, Connor's uneducated and superstitious kin believe it to have been the Devil's handiwork and they banish him from the village, and it's only through the mercy of a cousin who still held sympathy for Connor that they didn't kill him (or at least put a lot of effort in trying).

* ''Film/TheParentTrap1998'': Annie and Hallie give each other a crash course on their lives and how to pretend to be each other at summer camp, but they can't learn how to perfectly mimic each other in a few weeks. They even admit ahead of time that it's only a matter of time before they're found out. While their parents don't realise they have the wrong daughter, the people around them do quickly notice that the girls aren't acting like themselves and figure out what's going on within days. The twins were actually counting on their impersonations not being perfect, as it would force their parents to reunite in order to switch them back.

* ''Film/BlackHawkDown'': One of the helicopters unleashes a hail of minigun fire to ward off some Somalis on a rooftop. Unfortunately, Eversmann is crouching directly underneath the helicopter and receives superficial burns from the spent shell casings; it takes fire to shoot a gun.

** ''Film/MissionImpossibleDeadReckoningPartOne'':

* ''Film/GoneWithTheWind'': After over a decade of turmoil, Scarlett and Rhett's separate loves for Ashley and Scarlett herself wear out. Hers upon realizing that she never really loved him and was only in love with the illusion she created, and his after years of her cruel rejections. When they're both separately presented with the chance to have what they've wanted all this time, they're utterly apathetic about it.

* ''Film/Thanksgiving2023'':
** Scuba is not familiar with firearms. As such, when confronted with the killer it takes a while for him to even remember to take it out, and it ends up being useless since [[NotWithTheSafetyOnYouWont he forgets to take the safety off]]. The main characters in general aren't all that good with weapons, since they're teenagers in high school, and even if Jessica has been trained so that she knows how to fire a musket in the climax it takes her a bit to realize it's there and consider it as an option. [[invoked]][[spoiler: [[FridgeBrilliance Which might also be a clue that the Carver is not a civilian]], consider how casually he handles weapons.]]
** As noted elsewhere on this page, Scuba has a very subdued and heartbreaking reaction to [[spoiler: Yulia's death.]]
** The Carver avoids the police during the parade by simply using a different and completely unrelated disguise.
** Even after [[spoiler:she survives the events of the film, Jessica has PTSD and nightmares about Newlon coming back to kill her]].

* ''Film/HarryAndTheHendersons'':
** One at two different points regarding the "Bigfoot-mania". First when George mentions how the situation is drawing the attention of a lot of people unqualified to carry loaded firearms. Second when the police chief worries that someone wearing a monkey costume might accidentally get shot.
** As pointed out in the film itself, the amount of guns taken from the arrested men for processing would indeed cause delays in the release of LaFleur from jail.
