** In continuing with the ancient references relating to Apollo, Nahyuta's attack towards him using his prayer beads (throwing them so they wrap around Apollo's head, then reciting a sutra to make them constrict and cause a considerable amount of pain in order to bend Apollo to his will) is similar to the sutra from the Journey to the West, used on Sun Wukong in order to make him obey during the journey. Luckily for Apollo, it isn't as successful as it was in the source material.

* Solomon Starbuck and Clay Terran are both giant shout outs to Manga/UchuuKyoudai. Not only are their haircuts and character designs practically ripped from the series, but also similarities in backstories. Especially since both Solomon Starbuck, and his character design inspiration Hibito both experienced [[spoiler: a near death experience in space, leading to both of them developing a fear of space but still remaining determine to return to space]].
