* The first big move in ''Heroes Vs Healers Vs Hustlers'' is a monster, and it actually involves ''two'' tribes totally separate from one another getting someone out, [[DiabolusExNihilo even if they didn't mean to work together.]] It starts with the monkey wrench thrown into the works by Jessica right after a tribe shuffle, when the new Yawa wins Reward and a secret advantage is hidden in her potato chip bag, but Cole's habit of LooseLips causes it to be spoiled to the entirety of Yawa and she basically cannot use it for herself within her own tribe without getting into trouble. The tribe also places first in the Immunity Challenge (the first win for the red team overall this season). Jessica then wills it to somebody in the Levu tribe, Devon, who was ironically a member of the old Yawa in the Hustlers. All throughout the episode, the new Levu is going on about how Devon is the odd guy out with no familiar people in the new tribe and thus a swing vote, and we're led to think he's going to receive even more power through use of the power to block a vote. WRONG. Unlike how Ryan benefited Chrissy with the Super Immunity Idol in the first episode to gain an ally post-shuffle (which she kept and keeps as a now-powerless idol for a potential fake-out), Jessica has used the advantage ''against'' him to block ''his'' vote, thereby stripping Levu of a swing vote and bringing the vote down to four people. Rather intelligently, she took the opposite route Ryan did because the tribes won't be shuffled again and the merge is far off, so now is the time to cripple the opposing tribes, and got to do so anonymously. As a result, the decision gets split at Tribal Council, with Ashley and Alan banded against Joe and Desi. However, Joe takes this opportunity to play his Hidden Immunity Idol and nullifies both his votes, reading into fellow Healer Desi's confident poker face. He previous threw both Ashley and Desi's names out as votes, but Desi and he managed to reach an agreement to stage a coup and blindside Alan with two votes. Because the two votes against Joe are invalid and Devon can't vote, the only votes in play are for Alan and he automatically gets the boot, similar to what happened to Cirie last season. Now, Jessica has proven herself to be a sleeper threat unknown to the Levu tribe and Joe is proving to be the BigBad of the season. And in the sickest sense of irony, Alan, the guy who was very anal-retentive about flushing out an idol on his own tribe, got caught by surprise by an idol found in ''someone else's camp'', [[DidntSeeThatComing which he never anticipated]], nor had a reason to in the first place up until now. ** In the finale, Cirie isn't exactly voted out, she's eliminated by default [[GambitPileup because everyone else had immunity thanks to idols, the legacy advantage, and individual immunity.]] Not only is this surprising because she had no votes cast against her, but because this is the first time this has happened in Survivor history, and everyone paid her due respect when she left the game gracefully.

** This happened again in the fourth episode. The New Mana and New Nuku tribes were both sent to the same Tribal. Nuku had a numbers advantage, but J.T. felt on the outs, his only friend being Malcolm, and wanted Sandra out from his own tribe. Mana was down a person and had only Hali from the old Mana tribe, and feared her own disloyalty. However, Tai found an idol which would keep one of them safe and negate votes if played right. At Tribal Council, what kicked off the confusion and cross-talking was J.T. telling Brad of New Mana who his tribe was voting for. This frees Mana up to vote out Sandra, who insists that Mana doesn't have an idol and is a two-time winner. However, J.T. neglects to say who his only ally is on the Nuku tribe, and when Tai's idol is correctly played, it isn't Sandra who goes (she doesn't even get a vote against her!) but ''Malcolm''.

* Out of all the players to possibly be booted in the premiere of ''Game Changers'', Tony Vlachos was probably the most shocking due to a) brilliant editing suggesting that Sandra would be voted out to keep the tribe strong, and b) the fact that he seemingly had put together a loyal all-threat alliance while Sandra's counter-alliance was going to split the vote between him and Aubry. But somehow, Sandra managed to turn his entire alliance onto each other - including Tony - and Tony ended up booted second while Sandra didn't even receive a single vote.

** David is also a major character in the season and many predicted him for being the winner of the season. Come to the final four, his biggest ally Ken ended up turning on him despite him wanting to play a game with loyalty and trust. Prior to that vote, many people expected David and Adam to be put into a fire-making challenge with David being the winner of that challenge. When that didn't happen and he got voted out, many people were surprised.

** Jessica may have topped Michaela as the most shocking elimination of the season. After the votes were deadlocked between Zeke and David's alliance, the tribe went to rocks, with Jessica picking the black rock and being sent home. Rock Drawing has happened a grand total of three times in 33 seasons- ''Marquesas, Blood vs Water, and Millennials vs Gen X''. Not only that, but while the Blood vs Water Rock Draw was heavily spoiled in the commercials that week, there was no hint that rocks would be drawn that week, especially in the last half of a double episode. Plus, generally people that are ousted by twists get very minimal edits- as seen that season by Lucy getting idoled out with no airtime at all until her boot episode. Will, Sunday, and Bret- all sparingly edited- drew rocks, so it was very surprising that Jessica, a pretty major character, drew the rock.

** Paschal in the same season was eliminated due to both his own refusal to vote for his alliance-mate Neleh and a tiebreaker that exposed him to elimination despite never being voted for in the entire game. At a deadlocked final four, Vecepia and Kathy had voted for Neleh, while Neleh and Paschal had voted for Kathy. When both Paschal and Vecepia refused to change their votes, the newest deadlock solution was implemented - drawing for the purple rock. Paschal, Neleh and Kathy would draw rocks and whoever received the purple one would be sent home (Vecepia had won individual immunity and was thus immune). After 37 days and no votes ever cast against him, Paschal drew the purple rock and was thus eliminated. Despite the accusations of unfairness, it should be noted that [[AllThereInTheManual Paschal knew exactly the risk of tying the vote]], as all the contestants were informed of this course of action in their pre-game briefing. However, due to the perceived "unfairness", the purple rock has been removed as a tiebreaker solution at the final four ever since (it is still a solution at any other time, however). Ironically, Paschal might have actually been evacuated had he stayed in the game, one of the jury members revealed he collapsed before the final three tribal council.

** Kathy was flying high in the Final 3, she had an underdog story to sell and had a Final 2 with Vecepia (who wasn't popular with the jury). If they voted of Neleh, she will win Survivor. Come to the Final Immunity Challenge in 4 hours later, Kathy dropped off after Neleh pointed out her nip slip. Not even a minute later, Vecepia had a deal with Neleh to bring her to the Final 2 '''in front of Kathy's face''', which Neleh accepts and Kathy was voted off.

** Stephenie in ''Heroes vs Villains'' - convinced that thanks to her Ulonging in ''Palau'' that she was kryptonite to the tribe, she was voted out over the much more conniving and scheming Amanda due to almost that fact alone (although there are unconfirmed rumors that she asked to be voted out due to her shoulder injury hampering her). The Villains tribe was clearly shocked that a strong competitor such as Stephenie was voted out so early.

* If it wasn't for Richard Hatch and his alliance changing ''Series/{{Survivor}}'' from a mere feat of survival on a "DesertedIsland" to a battle of Machiavellian strategy, Gretchen Cordy (probably the best genuine survivalist of the initial cast) would have easily made it much farther than the merge.

* Leann in ''Vanuatu'', thanks in part to a power shift from Ami/Leann to Twila/Scout.
* Edgardo in ''Fiji'' - while it wasn't as much of a shock to the audience, the expressions on nearly everyone's faces (''especially'' Edgardo and Alex's) show how shocking it really was.
* Ozzy in ''Micronesia''. Even his alliance and the first juror Eliza were shocked. (You'd think Eliza was having a heart attack!)

*** Trish swings to LJ/Jefra and convinces Tony as well to oust former Brawn tribesmate, affable NBA giant Cliff Robinson.
*** Come merge, usually-sane Sarah Lacina slowly loses her mind and openly declares being a swing vote, causing a disenfranchised Kass to potentially throw away a power position in order to vote Sarah out with the other tribe.
*** Then Tony decides he wants LJ out, moving Heaven and Earth to get it to happen, which it eventually does.
