Hugh Dennis gets a mirror out of the house, places it opposite the curtain, and, while looking in the mirror, lifts the curtain. He defends this by saying that looking in a mirror is looking at an ''image'' of a person, not the ''actual'' person.

Each show starts with the prize task, where the contestants explain why their selected item has been placed in the themed prize pot. The next three or four tasks shown are all pre-recorded, before the contestants do a final live task in the studio. At the end, whoever has scored the most points wins the prize pot. There is also a special trophy presented to the contestant who has accumulated the most points over the series.

The series has been recommissioned for a second and third series due to air in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Has nothing to do with ComicBook/{{Taskmaster}}, the fictional character of the same name.
