Studios comics]], and make their TV continuity debut in the premier to give Zayto's original team their Ranger powers in a flashback. (They were mentioned in ''Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers'' but this is the first time they've made a clear physical appearance in the series.)

** Zayto's vision also implies that the Masters are the reason why [[Series/PowerRangersBeastMorphers Steel was revived last season]].

** Zayto ends up releasing the Sporix by accident when his Dino Dagger gets deflected into the chest containing them.

** On top of that, the Void Knight's armor was stolen. So, someone connected with the good guys is the accidental source of the weaponry he uses to cause all this trouble.

* DarkerAndEdgier: Season 2 is arguably this as the kid humo been tone down as the season progress.

** While Ankylosaurus, Mosasaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Pteranodon, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus all lived in the Late Cretaceous North America. Dimetrodon lived during the Permian and died out before dinosaurs evolved, Stegosaurus is from the Jurassic period, while Smilodon wouldn't have even evolved until the Pleistocene some 60 million years later, nevermind any mammals of that size. Not to mention how an aquatic Mosasaurus is somehow able to move around on land.

* SoleSurvivor: Zayto was the only member of his team to live after the final battle against the Sporix. He also says that few survived his planet being ravaged by the Sporix. Of course, sealed away for 65 million years, his civilization has had plenty of time to either recover or die out; it's impossible to know what's happened over that much time.

* TotallyRadical: Izzy often uses Gen Z slang in battle, like "vibing", "OK boomer" and "cringe." It seems the writers have realized how silly it sounds, as Izzy stops doing it in later episodes.

* TransformationTrinket: The Dino Fury Rangers use the Dino Fury Morphers alongside the Dino Fury Keys.

* BeachEpisode: Episode 17 has the Rangers enjoying and chilling their time at a beach.

* For Boomtower, he was able to grow after inserting a Sporix inside his cannon, allowing him to tap into the power to do so. Learning from that experience, Void Knight placed Sporix into Slyther and Wreckmate so they could do the same.

* MixAndMatchCritters: Solon appears to possess the nasal horn of a ''Ceratosaurus'', cranial horns from a species of Pachycephalosaur, feathers and skull shape from a species of Dromaeosaur[[note]]according to some sources it's based on a Velociraptor skull[[/note]], and feet modelled after some species of Tyrannosaur.
