Before it was [[WebAnimation/TheLightOfCourage a series of intentionally bad animated shorts]], ''The Legend Of Zelda: The Light of Courage'' was a serious attempt by Robert "Joe_Cracker" [=McGee=] to write an official ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'' movie.

Seven years after the events of ''VideoGame/ZeldaIITheAdventureOfLink'', Link is plagued by recurring nightmares about the moon falling and destroying Hyrule, which, of course, are meant to be a warning. To save the world, Link must explore the temples of the three goddesses to obtain the power to create the Master Sword. Meanwhile, Ganon travels to an alternate universe to seek a powerful magical weapon.

The thread containing the script was lost to time, but an archived copy can be read [[http://web.archive.org/web/20140925040355/https://htloz.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1618 here]].

!! Tropes found in the script

* AutoRevive: Link receives a heirloom ring from his grandmother which will protect its bearer from death, but it will only work if a woman wears it. Link gives it to Zelda, which allows her to survive being crushed by falling rocks during the battle with Ganon.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: For most of the script, Eian's role is just to tell jokes and drive Link and Zelda to the next temple, but he still manages to steal Ganon's Triforce of Power.
* CatapultNightmare: Whenever Link has a nightmare, he will jump out of bed screaming.
* CatsAreMean: Majora's Mask is repeatedly described as having a cat-like face, and it's the BiggerBad, so evil that even Ganon is willing to team up with Link to destroy it.
* CaveBehindTheWaterfall: Nayru's Temple is located behind a waterfall.
* ColonyDrop: As with ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask'', the Moon falling and destroying the world is a plot point.
* DreamingOfThingsToCome: Link's nightmares about the Moon destroying Hyrule are meant to warn him about Ganon's plans to find and use Majora's Mask. Later, he also has a nightmare about Zelda being crushed by falling rocks, which also happens (although Zelda manages to survive thanks to the magic ring Link gave her).
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Ganon is horrified after Majora informs him that the Moon will destroy the world within a few hours.
* FeedItABomb: Link finds some bombs while fighting the giant frog in Nayru's Temple, and throws them in its mouth to kill it.
* FountainOfYouth: Majora turns the king of Hyrule into a baby to scare Impa into revealing the location of the Triforce of Courage.
* MakeAWish: Combining the three Triforces and touching them will grant a wish, which is how Zelda defeats Majora's Mask and stops the Moon from falling.
* MooksAteMyEquipment: The giant frog that is the boss of Nayru's Temple eats Link's sword.
* PluckyComicRelief: Most of Eian's lines are jokes that feel out-of-place in the setting.
* SwordBeam: Link mostly uses his sword to zap monsters rather than slash them.
