* FatalFlaw: A big flaw of his is that he tends to have somewhat of an addictive personality. Several times he's shown getting hooked on something. He's also shown to be somewhat addictive to carrots (though this is okay since it is a healthy addiction).

* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: Gonsod regularly does the cooking for his companions, which is traditionally considered a feminine chore. In addition, he cries openly (sometimes in the most undignified of ways), uses a handbag, likes wearing "cute-looking" aprons, occasionally does his claws, and is perfectly comfortable wearing 'girly' accessories when needed in occasions, such as playing with the cubs.

* GreenThumb: He's a very skilled gardener.

* ObliviousToLove: While he begins to have feelings for Gwyneth, it, uh... Takes him some time to realise that she is already interested in him and has no clue about it until Gruff and Guto point it out.

* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: It's downplayed for both him and Gwyneth, but it's shown; Gonsod has a few traditionally feminine interests and seems to do most of the cooking in the house (even wearing an pink apron when doing so), while Gwyneth is a bit of a craftsman and enjoys water sports.

* HandicappedBadass: The aftermath of a hydra attack leaves him having a prosthetic wooden back leg and a ripped-out eye from the beating the beast inflicted on him and it still doesn't stop him from engaging in combat and doing all he can to keep his companions safe.

* SupremeChef: Gonsod is the team cook and is indicated he was good at cooking as a child. Gideon in particular can't get enough of his muffins. He's dedicated to his work, as his family business is well-kept and he is shown working earnestly. He is very talented at it, to the point where his meals are so good that his friends aggressively fight over even unfinished leftovers.

** While he hates fighting, he doesn't really try to stop his friends when they fight over what he cooks. Justified somewhat, as he admits he's not sure what to feel or what to do when it happens.
** In addition to the aforementioned, although he's usually the "peacemaker" of the group, he's unfortunately very easy to get mingled in an argument by just one insulting comment. Given his emotional and sensitive personality, this also makes sense.

* GuiltyPleasures: He is secretly rather flattered that his friends like his food enough to fight with others for it.

* NormalFishInaTinyPond: While Gyeong is a GadgeteerGenius and OmnidisciplinaryScientist, he soon finds himself overshadowed by Gareth, even calling himself a "scientific idiot" in comparison.

* AlwaysSecondBest: While Gyeong and Gareth get along really well, there are moments when Gyeong feels intellectually inferior to his friend.

* FriendToAllChildren: He seems to like kids a lot and wants to make sure they have a fun Blue Moon Festival, even putting on a scavenger hunt for them.

* BloodKnight: He's usually the first one to suggest getting physical when faced with a threat. Not only that, his ''weapon of choice'' is a pair of Shuko spikes that, aside from climbing, serve as weapons in hand-to-hand combat.

Gareth's self-esteem issues largely stem from himself and almost everyone else (especially the his father) comparing him to them. The twins are aware of this and actively encourage Gareth that he can be just as good as them someday.

* CoolTeacher: Despite his occasional strictness, most of his students insist he is this.

* TechnicianVSPerformer: The technician compared to Gyeong's performer. Gareth is by far the more academic of the two but finds himself at a disadvantage because Gyeong has more raw talent, and his intuitive style is less predictable. Being the technician has advantages for the team, however, because he takes the time to understand the basic principles of glyph magic and metallurgy, giving him a great deal more control over the results. While Gyeong comes up with the ideas of combining glyphs and magic to construct new effects and gadgets, Gareth is the one who figures out how to actually make it work.

* CharacterTics: When stressed, he sometimes paces back and forth, which is something real birds also do if upset.

* NoSocialSkills: He starts out like this, being very shy, quiet, and awkward in every interaction with other cubs. He gets more confident and social over the years, though still prefers to stick with his friend group.

* CrazyPrepared:
** He carries a first responder kit with him in case he needs to tend someone's injuries, in and out of the battlefield. His bag also includes obstetric instruments.
** As a child, Gareth archives all of his school papers, but he also adds one random ridiculous paragraph into each of them, just in case someone tries using one of them for themselves. This becomes unfortunate for Gilbert when he steals an old paper from Gareth that makes their teacher believe he has a fear of bananas.

* WarriorPoet: In his youth as a guard-in-training, he wrote love poems to Genevieve between sessions.

* GradeSkipper: Went to and graduated from college as a preteen.

* CuddleBug: Gilbert is usually the first member to offer hugs and other forms of reassuring gestures to those in need.

* ThePrankster

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: It's confirmed that he has ADHD, hence his incredibly short attention span, his tendency to overlook obvious details, and unintentional inability to follow instructions. He's also shown to have a hard time focusing and remembering what he's doing or sitting still. Fortunately, being in the royal guard does help him.

* InstantMessengerPigeon: Essentially one of his roles on the team.

* AlliterativeName: Like everygriff, Gilbert's first and last name both start with "G".

** His friends call him "Gils".
** Ginger calls him "amor" and "cariño", both of which are Spanish terms of endearment.

** As a child, he strikes up a friendship with his friends [[LanguageBarrier despite him being unable to speak English ("Griffish")]]; though his ability to follow along with his friends' more basic statements would suggest he at least knows more English than his friends know Spanish and likely knows at least a small amount of English. His friends then offer to teach him their language and he to teach them his own. In the present, adult Gilbert can speak English fluently.

* DrearyHalfLiddedEyes: His eyes are often half closed. In combination with a cocky grin, it denotes his mischievous nature.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Gilbert is a prankster who trolls his friends, but he's shown to have a caring and thoughtful heart.

* BookDumb: Downplayed. Gilbert is repeatedly shown to be very intelligent, is an avid map reader, and has a strong desire to learn. Despite this, his grades were implied to be rather lackluster in his old school. The fact that he has ADHD probably has something to do with it. Additionally, his grades at the castle where his quick thinking, creativity, and capacity for absorbing knowledge are put to good use are implied to be excellent, indicating that it was more a case of the school system's curriculum failing to accommodate Gilbert's specific needs.

* BodyMotifs: Ears. His power is super hearing.

* SuperHearing: He has this for his power, which comes in handy during patrols.

* FriendlessBackground: From moving around so much and his eccentric behaviour.

Gilbert is neurodivergent, possessing severe ADHD that has seemingly gone largely untreated and significantly impair his ability to perform well in certain situations. None of this stops him from taking down the various threats the Griffinstone alongside his friends with both his wits and his sword mastery.

* UndyingLoyalty: Gilbert is incredibly devoted to all of his friends and loved ones.

* VitriolicBestBuds: Gilbert seems to have this sort of relationship with most of his friends.

* ClassClown: As a cub, Gilbert tends to act like it.

* MiseryTrigger: Gilbert gets very sad when he's left by himself or someone belittles his intelligence and maturity.

* BlessedWithSuck: In the sense that having enhanced hearing can sometimes heighten his sensitivity to auditory stimuli.

* BloodKnight: Being the enthusiastic soldier that he is, he usually looks like he's having the time of his life during a fight. Except when ItsPersonal.

* AmbiguouslyBi: He identifies as bisexual and while Gideon is mostly interested in girls, such as Galina, he seems to share an interest in guys as well.

* BigEater: He is shown consuming more food than most members of the group. If his plate is any indication, he can't get enough of Gonsod's carrot zucchini bread and muffins, which form a pile almost as high as his head which is his ''second'' helping. ** It's implied that Gideon doesn't particularly get along with his parents-in-law either, as he mentions that he and Galina had to be married when they were both pushing 20, partly because Galina's family wasn't sure of his 'intentions' towards her. Although, while slightly annoyed with his in-laws attitude, he still considers his and Galina's wedding the happiest day of his life, and the two are cheerfully married to each other.

* ProperLady: Graceful, elegant and poised. She is a regal, wealthy Griffoness of refinement and good manners, but takes her adventures well and stays level-headed.

* DanceBattler: Grizel uses her skills in dancing to help her in her fights.

* NotSoAboveItAll: Although she tells Gruff to keep calm when feeling angry, she's prone to start yelling at anything she doesn't like on the radio (usually things like diced onions on hot dogs).

She also wears a festive piece that looks like leaves and cranberries, showing that she's enthusiastically embracing the season. Red cranberries are also symbols of love, warmth, and togetherness, which are key themes of the series and all things she stands for.
