* Opposes: AUTO (Ibuka Masaru)
* Pitied by: Various good-aligned Sony deities (Morita Akio)

* How the Chief Executives rose to the position was a pellicular one. The House of Commerce doesn't typically award titles through merits or something else- rather, they are to be held in an auction for various titles. One of them in particular was the OneNationUnderCopyright trope, an auction held with the cooperation with the House of Leadership. Though the competition was fierce, in the end, the various Chief Executives of Guangdong managed to secure the title for themselves, an extremely rare moment of cooperation between them considering the ongoing behind-the-scenes plotting against each other. With this, they have managed to ascend to another sector of the House of Commerce where the corporations compete each other in a product cycle, a fierce race of both quality control and advertising which can be heard around the various Houses. Additionally, they also managed to branch out to weapons development, with them sending out weapons not just for profit, but to meet the goals they have to fulfill so that their weapon is seen as a potentially profitable venture, which is why they sell them to the House of Weapons regardless of the outcome of various battles. Marketing in Guangdong is a tough business, and it is no different when they ascended to divinity.

* While the Chief Executives are barely recognizable in our own world with the exception of Morita Akio and Ibuka Masaru who founded Sony in our timeline, nevertheless, the corporations that they are associated with are easily more remembered than them most of the time. In a world where a new order was founded where National Socialism and Fascism is seen a potentially viable ideology, it too corrupted the corporations and the people associated with them: Ibuka Masaru would instead betray Morita Akio for Fujitsu caused by Tokyo Telecommunications' slow growth, starting a rivalry that did not end up as a friendship in our timeline, Matsushita Masaharu would attempt to further strengthen Matsushita Electric's hold on Guangdong to turn it into a corporate empire, and Komai Kenichirō will brutally implement the Manchurian system to industrialize Guangdong at the expense of the workers.
* Even though they rule over Guangdong, they are tiny flies compared to the Buy N' Large corporation, who managed to effectively become the world government rather than simply rule a nation. Reactions have been mixed, of course: Morita Akio, upon hearing of CEO Shelby Forthright's attempts to undo the damages done by his own corporation, has vowed to avoid the pitfalls that Buy N' Large fell into by enforcing his various environmental bills so that the Lion Rock Spirit can breathe more fresh air in Guangdong, Matsushita Masaharu is impressed by their growth and sheer magnitude of rule, but like Morita, he will use his environmental bills to prevent his corporate empire from facing the same fate as Buy N' Large, if only because such an environment would be inefficient for him, Ibuka Masaru laments that the technology that the managed to invent instead resulted in much of humanity becoming lazy in the future, and plans to reverse engineer their technology so that it instead results in a more hard-working humanity and to further his meritocratic vision, resulting in him opposing AUTO for allowing for such complacency, and Komai Kenichirō's reasons are similar, albeit using it to virtually turn the entire population into money-makers regardless of the cost of human life.

* The State of Guangdong is an artificial Japanese colonial state carved out of China in a timeline where the Axis had an total victory over the Allies in UsefulNotes/WorldWarII. Initially intended to be a retirement home for Japanese soldiers envisioned by Tōjō Hideki, after he was ousted from power at the end of the war, it instead became a playground of unrestrained capitalism, filled with crime, corruption and poverty, overseen by supposedly the Kanton Minseifu, the Guangdong Civil Administration, but in practice is mostly instead run by the biggest corporations in Guangdong, a fact that has been enforced with the Yasuda Crisis, which saw the Chief Executive Suzuki Teiichi being given a Vote of No Confidence and forced to resign, with the other corporate leaders forcing the now-powerless Representative Director of Yasuda Bank's Guangdong Branch Matsuzawa Takuji to the seat so that the now-disgraced Yasuda Bank can take even more brunt of their unpopular decisions, after which a power vacuum among the Sony, Matsushita Electric and Fujitsu corporations occurs to take the seat of Chief Executive. Both Sony and Fujitsu would invite their respective allies, Cheung Kong and Hitachi to further strengthen their position, but Hitachi seeks to take the throne backed by their Manchurian and IJA connections to turn it into a Manchurian industrial state.

!What is the Work?

VideoGame/SamuraiVandalism is a sequel to VideoGame/IdeologyInFriction. If that rings any bells, the latter game had one of the first [=CMs=] I've ever worked on. The game takes place in the country of Wutai Yamato, with the Hozuki fighting against the terrorist organization Byakuya. As one of the members and main protagonist, Mukuro Kamiyashiro, finds out unfortunately, her missing sister Mei Kamiyashiro happens to be one of Byakuya's members! This event leads to a lot of revelations relating to a lot of characters, but today we'll be discussion the head honcho of Byakuya.

!Who is the candidate and what have they done?

Decades ago, Nue Serizawa was renowned for being considered one of the strongest samurai of Yamato, the leader of Teito Defense Force before it fell into corruption and had a loving family, and an old friend of Sayo's butler. That is, until a group of dark elves invaded, and Nue Serizawa took them down, and when he returned home, his home had burnt down, and his family dead. Initially DrivenToSuicide, he's rescued by Hiraga, who remarks his training prevented his own suicide, and accepts Hiraga's offer to revive him to search for the truth behind his family's death. Hiraga's experiments results in Nue Serizawa being reborn as the ultimate survivor, Daruma. He eventually discovers the truth behind his family's death: Because the shogun feared he would become a threat to him, he ordered his house burnt. Realizing that just killing the Shogun would simply result in needless chaos, he founds the terrorist organization Byakuya to combat against the tyranny of the Hitotsubashi Shogunate, and waits until Takahatsu Hitotsubashi's heir, Sayo Hitotsubashi is born so that she can lead Yamato if he is unable to find someone who is willing to reform Yamato and lead the nation when the shogun dies.

One day, when Azami Takachiho investigates on Byakuya as a contract killer, she suddenly meets with Daruma, who easily defeats her. Impressed by the woman's strength, he makes her a member of Byakuya and orders her to infiltrate Hozuki as its commander, while having her live a double life as Hannya, the mysterious vigilante. When the Chief Minister settles down in Teito to discuss foreign relations, Daruma begins to act by raiding the location where the Chief Minister is, then has Azami Takachiho divert the remaining Hozuki members elsewhere so she could take down the Chief Minister. With him dead, the Shogunate begins to fall into disarray.

The following happens on the three routes:

In the Hozuki route, Daruma raids Hozuki's base of operations and takes down the various soldiers stationed on their base, and during a somewhat friendly spar between Azami and Daruma, both of them commend their skills for each other. Later, after the Shogun's death, upon hearing about the Arrow of Apollo residing with Sayo and that Hozuki is planning to transfer her to Viktor to remove it, Byakuya intercepts them. When Gin, enraged by the revelation by not just the fact that Azami was actually the masked vigilante Hannya, but in fact a secret member of Byakuya, attacks Daruma and breaks his mask, he quickly recovers and counters Gin, knocking him to the floor. With the help of the rest of the Nine Stars, Byakuya successfully captures Sayo and in spite of reinforcements arriving from Viktor, Daruma manages to hold back Falke and even cuts off his arm with the forbidden technique Yamata no Orochi, allowing the rest of Byakuya to escape unscathed, but he sees Falke as a WorthyOpponent given that he's the first person to force him into a standstill in order for him to use that technique. When Hiraga goes rogue thanks to Aguri dying at the hands of the City Watch, he gathers the last remaining members of Byakuya for a final battle against Hiraga, almost everyone, including Daruma sacrificing their lives in the process, but in the end, Hiraga was stopped from ending Yamato, and Sayo, now free from the Arrow of Apollo, is ready to reinforce her rule as the new Shogun to bring a new peace to Yamato.

In the Byakuya route, after Mukuro defects to Byakuya and performs some tasks for them, Daruma raids Hozuki's base of operations and easily defeats Momo, Gin and Leo without breaking a sweat, and later takes down a group of Hozuki soldiers and knocks out Lieutenant Ryu Nitobe. In the next meeting between the Nine Stars of Byakuya, he announces that the final battle against the Hitotsubashi Shogunate has begun, and kickstarts the revolution by destroying the Shogun's reputation by crushing the groups related to the Hitotsubashi Shogunate, resulting in anarchy taking over Yamato. He later tasks Mukuro to rescue prisoners that were allies of Byakuya. The successful prison break causes most of the nobles and conglomerates to either evacuate or join the rebels, effectively completing the decline of the Hitotsubashi Shotgunate. At this moment, Daruma reveals the true identify of Ash One- none other than the infamous Hannya, aka Azami Takachiho, who is not only the commander of Hozuki, but also secretly a double agent for Byakuya. Afterwards, they storm the castle of the Hitotsubashi Shogunate, but find the shogun already dead. After that, Daruma makes efforts to rebuild Yamato from the chaos, starting by assigning the head of the Isari conglomerate, Suzunosuke Isori, as the Prime Minister of the new government, who quickly hires the most loyal and talented of people to rebuild Yamato, and it works. Afterwards, he leads Byakuya to defend against the upcoming Dark Elves that are coming from the Mountain of Immortality, with the exception of Ranmaru and Mei, who are tasked with eliminating the leader of the former City Watch and former leader of the Teito Defense Force, Kozaburo Sasaki, whose demon blade Kkotbaem had taken him over and consumed him with bloodlust. Mei and Ranmaru succeed in putting down Sasaki for good. Both Ranmaru and Mei then catch up with Byakuya, just in time to extract the Arrow of Apollo from Sayo. When Tamano turns into a nine-tailed fox to suppress the Arrow of Apollo, Daruma initially watches from afar until Ranmaru and Leo unleash their hidden Dark Elf powers, eventually arriving not just to express his proud reaction for them releasing their power, but also to defend against the Dark Elves. Eventually arriving back to Hiraga, he finds that the scientist has found a way to put down the nine-tailed fox for good, by creating an weapon called Apollo's Bow, also known as the Killing Stone, made from the same materials called orichalcum. With it, he uses Apollo's bow to weaken the nine-tailed fox's regeneration and allows Mukuro, Mei and Azami to put down Tamano for good. With Yamato finally at peace after a few months, Hozuki reforms as a police organization, and Daruma continues his actions in secrecy so that Yamato's peace is retained for future generations.

In the Ronin route, thanks to Hiraga's actions, both Byakuya and Hozuki have been disassembled. Regardless, Daruma's desire to protect Yamato awaits, and hides within the shadows of the mountain of Cloud Path, to train himself for the fated day that he would rise again to protect Yamato with further strength. If Mukuro, Momo and Kinako have Lv. 3 Corruption, they can opt to take on the quest to snip one last loose end by killing Daruma once and for all. When they arrive, they find Daruma training for the that fated day. Should they confirm that they're here to kill him, a fierce boss battle ensues, but eventually Daruma is defeated. However, even in death, he accepts his fate regardless.

Byakuya.

Shogun Takahatsu Hitotsubashi is the current ruler of Yamato. His corruption was the very reason why Byakuya was brought into existence. Earlier on, we learn that he forbade his daughter Sayo from ever leaving the house, and her leaving leads to some problems. Also prior to the series, he ordered the death of Nue Serizawa and his family because of his strength potentially being a threat to him, but this backfired and he lives on as Daruma, who would found Byakuya to oppose his rule. Later, it's revealed that the Teito Defense Force, an organization founded by him in the past, was the one who actually attacked Mukuro's village, not Byakuya, and it was because the obsidian in Mukuro's village was valuable to them. This resulted in Mei Kamiyashiro separating herself from Mukuro and leaving for Byakuya. It's also revealed in the Side Episode "The Shrine Maidens who Excel at Magic" where his opening up to foreign countries also brought some foreign practices to Yamato, which included summoning foreign demons, some of which have caused numerous casualties. He also ordered the destruction of shrines that worshipped no deities, with Mikage Orikasa's shrine being one of those, resulting in the death of her parents and causing her to turn to Byakuya after she was rescued by Daruma. When the mysterious Hannya kills a noble's family for owning slaves, the Shogun berates the commander of Hozuki, Azami Takachiho for not destroying Byakuya, and establishes the City Watch due to Hozuki's failures to deal with them.

(Hozuki)

In the Byakuya route, to cover up his crimes so that the new Prime Minister of Viktor would see it, he orders the City Watch to arrest his loyal slavers but also allows the City Watch to do whatever they want to the slaves once they arrest the slavers. Because of this, Byakuya is tasked with protecting them so that they can be used as evidence of the Shogun's corruption, surprisingly including Fumimaro Hino, since his family is sponsoring Byakuya's activities. Unfortunately, his slaver sold Hino out and by the time Mukuro finds him, he's dead. The shogun then seeks out Tamano to likely scapegoat her for his crimes and execute her. When Byakuya finally begins their revolution, he expands the City Watch by adding more criminals, resulting in worsening chaos as they are ordered to slaughter anyone on the slightest suspicion of rebellion. His paranoia reaches his peak after the successful prison break, ordering the City Watch to kill everyone. However, it seemed to work against him, as he's later found dead by the time Byakuya storms his castle.

In the Ronin route, because Hiragi betrays Byakuya for the sake of his own interests such as his love interest Aguri, his potential opposition groups such as Hozuki and Byakuya are eliminated, and he couldn't care less about what happened to his own daughter Sayo as she gets sold into a loveless marriage. In an attempt to gain eternal youth, Takahatsu Hitotsubashi tasks Hiragi to have him undergo surgery to become eternally youthful. It goes as well as you expected. Fortunately (and unfortunately for him), Hiragi tasks Mukuro, Momo and Kinako to deal with the complication in the event it happens, and sure enough, they slay the Shogun, who was transformed into a Daidarabocchi (essentially a giant Evilroid, the same transformation he inflicted into Sayo's butler in the Hozuki route). As he DisappearsIntoLight, he begs for Hiragi to save him, but the doctor declines, leaving the Shogun to leave nothing of himself behind.

The following happens on the three routes:

In the Byakuya Hozuki route, to cover up his crimes so that Daruma raids Hozuki's base of operations and takes down the new Prime Minister various soldiers stationed on their base, and during a somewhat friendly spar between Azami and Daruma, both of Viktor would see it, he orders the City Watch to arrest his loyal slavers but also allows the City Watch to do whatever they want to the slaves once they arrest the slavers. Because of this, Byakuya is tasked with protecting them so that they can be used as evidence of commend their skills for each other. Later, after the Shogun's corruption, surprisingly including Fumimaro Hino, since his family is sponsoring Byakuya's activities. Unfortunately, his slaver sold Hino out death, upon hearing about the Arrow of Apollo residing with Sayo and that Hozuki is planning to transfer her to Viktor to remove it, Byakuya intercepts them. When Gin, enraged by the time Mukuro finds him, revelation by not just the fact that Azami was actually the masked vigilante Hannya, but in fact a secret member of Byakuya, attacks Daruma and breaks his mask, he quickly recovers and counters Gin, knocking him to the floor. With the help of the rest of the Nine Stars, Byakuya successfully captures Sayo and in spite of reinforcements arriving from Viktor, Daruma manages to hold back Falke and even cuts off his arm with the forbidden technique Yamata no Orochi, allowing the rest of Byakuya to escape unscathed, but he sees Falke as a WorthyOpponent given that he's dead. The shogun then seeks out Tamano the first person to likely scapegoat her force him into a standstill in order for his crimes and execute her. him to use that technique. When Byakuya finally begins their revolution, he expands Hiraga goes rogue thanks to Aguri dying at the hands of the City Watch by adding more criminals, resulting in worsening chaos as they are ordered to slaughter anyone on Watch, he gathers the slightest suspicion last remaining members of rebellion. His paranoia reaches his peak after the successful prison break, ordering the City Watch to kill everyone. However, it seemed to work against him, as he's later found dead by the time Byakuya storms his castle.

In the Ronin route, because Hiragi betrays
Byakuya for the sake of his own interests such as his love interest Aguri, his potential opposition groups such as Hozuki and Byakuya are eliminated, and he couldn't care less about what happened to his own daughter Sayo as she gets sold into a loveless marriage. In an attempt to gain eternal youth, Takahatsu Hitotsubashi tasks Hiragi to have him undergo surgery to become eternally youthful. It goes as well as you expected. Fortunately (and unfortunately for him), Hiragi tasks Mukuro, Momo and Kinako to deal with the complication final battle against Hiraga, almost everyone, including Daruma sacrificing their lives in the event it happens, and sure enough, they slay the Shogun, who was transformed into a Daidarabocchi (essentially a giant Evilroid, the same transformation he inflicted into Sayo's butler process, but in the Hozuki route). As he DisappearsIntoLight, he begs for Hiragi to save him, but end, Hiraga was stopped from ending Yamato, and Sayo, now free from the doctor declines, leaving Arrow of Apollo, is ready to reinforce her rule as the new Shogun to leave nothing of himself behind.

VideoGame/SamuraiVandalism is
bring a sequel new peace to VideoGame/IdeologyInFriction.

One day, when Azami Takachiho investigates on Byakuya, she suddenly meets with Daruma, who easily defeats her. In the Ronin route, thanks to Hiragi's actions, both Byakuya and Hozuki have been disassembled.

After that, Daruma makes efforts to rebuild Yamato from the chaos, starting by assigning the head of the Isari conglomerate as the head of the new government, who quickly hires the most loyal and talented of people to rebuild Yamato, and it works. Shogun Takahatsu Hitotsubashi is the current ruler of Yamato. His corruption was the very reason why Byakuya was brought into existence. Earlier on, we learn that he forbade his daughter Sayo from ever leaving the house, and her leaving leads to some problems. Also prior to the series, it's revealed that the Teito Defense Force, an organization founded by him in the past, was the one who actually attacked Mukuro's village, not Byakuya, and it was because the obsidian in Mukuro's village was valuable to them.

Shogun Takahatsu Hitotsubashi is the current ruler of Yamato. His corruption was the very reason why Byakuya was brought into existence. Earlier on, we learn that he forbade his daughter Sayo from ever leaving the house, and her leaving leads to some problems. Also prior to the series, it's revealed in the Side Episode "The Shrine Maidens who Excel at Magic" where his opening up to foreign countries also brought some foreign practices to Yamato, which included summoning foreign demons, some of which have caused numerous casualties.

In the Ronin, thanks to Hiragi's actions, both Byakuya and Hozuki have been disassembled.

Series/KamenRiderBlackSun is a 12-episode DarkerAndEdgier reimagining of Series/KamenRiderBLACK. This time, around a certain point, Kaijin's knowledge was made public and they co-exist with humanity. However, racial tensions between them are at a all-time high, resulting in numerous Kaijin lynchings and racism in Japan. Kotaro Minami/Kamen Rider Black Sun opts to live life alone from the situation, though a fateful encounter with Aoi Izumi changes everything, and gets dragged into the conflict, and has to face with his rival, Nobuhiko Akizuki/Kamen Rider Shadowmoon as the situation grows much worse...

!Who is the candidate and what have they done?

Shinichi Dounami is the Prime Minister of Japan and the son of Michinosuke Dounami, who spearheaded the project that resulted in the creation of the very first Kaijin, the Creation King. In 1972, Shinichi often lived as a spoiled racist against Kaijin, as shown when he blurts out to his girlfriend that he plans to "get a Kaijin that I can riddle with bullets". However, that same time, he gets kidnapped by the Gorgom movement as leverage against Michinosuke. During his kidnapping, he learned about Yukari Shinjo's plan to MercyKill the entire Kaijin race by killing off the Creation King, and the resulting report to the higher-ups of the Gorgom movement ends with her being assassinated, which resulted in the movement being absorbed by the Japanese Government and turned into the Gorgom Party, whom Shinichi becomes the head of.

Cut to present day in 2022... and things have gotten a lot worse under his rule. Under him... Let's just say this quote summarizes him.

->Welfare recipients, elderly who are living alone, LGBTQ who can't produce children... There are many humans who can be used as fuel for kaijins and Heat Heaven. The extract that comes out of the Creation King is a magical extract. That extract brings in money. Money gathers people, and people bring about power. Mixing human flesh with the extract creates Heat Heaven, and kaijins pay a lot of money to buy it. The extract is also used to change humans into kaijins. Insects, animals, plants. With the extract, humans can be transformed into all sorts of kaijins.
-->-- Shinichi Dounami

Oh, and it doesn't stop there. We're treated to a scene afterwards of a Kaijin being auctioned off for about 82 million yen, and noticing that even the potency of the Creation King's extract is beginning to diminish, begins a brutal manhunt for the two halves of the Kingstone, and when one of the half was found to be in the hands of Oliver Johnson, orders him to be beaten to death to obtain it. Said search also results in Aoi Izumi's parents being killed, her caretaker Misaki being killed and her house destroyed, and her being forcefully turned into a kaijin by Bilgenia. Eventually the Kingstones are reunited, but no one was able to become the new Creation King.

After a failed raid against the Gorgom Party that resulted in Nobuhiko being captured, Shinichi wastes no time unleashing his petty grudge against kaijins and Nobuhiko by mocking his long-deceased crush Yukari by claiming that she was a government spy and revealing the origins of the Creation King, resulting in Nobuhiko's fall into corruption and despair. But around that time, however, his crimes are being exposed by Aoi Izumi, who also transforms into a kaijin for the rest of the world to see. As she is broadcasting this info, Shinichi decides that she must be silenced and orders a police hit squad to assassinate her, but a now supposedly redeemed Bilgenia dies fighting them all off, and it results in Shinichi's crimes being exposed to the rest of the politicians, and after the Creation King is fully put down, his own party decides that he's too much of an liability, and his subordinate Isao Nimura arranges him to go near a memorial for Kaijins to piss on, but in actuality is sentencing him to be thrown under the bus, as he is decapitated by Nick, who was the son of Oliver Johnson.

!Redeeming Factors?

You think?

!Is he bad enough?

As horrific as some the kaijin lynchings are and the painful and unwilling conversion of humans into kaijins, these are practically the norm. Wataru Igaki's murder of Shunsuke is his only crime shown onscreen with the rest being implied, Bilgenia's redemption automatically disqualifies him, but Shinichi exceeds their crimes- he's willing to not only encourage these lynchings and converting humans into kaijins to be sold off, but also allows the genocide of the poor, elderly and the LGBTQ for their corpses to be used for mixing with the Creation King's extract, and he's even willing to silence anyone who dares try to expose his crimes. While his father Michinosuke is seen experimenting on the person that would become the Creation King and has even worse crimes, they aren't shown onscreen. Shinichi's, on the other hand, have entire scenes dedicated to showing his vileness- almost none compare to him.
