LeadSingerPlaysLeadGuitar is a pretty recent trope, and it's really straightforward. The trope's main definition is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin, and the usage (81%) reflect that. The problem is that this [[Administrivia/PeopleSitOnChairs doesn't seem to be a trope]]. So what if the band's singer also plays lead guitar? Is there an unofficial band rule somewhere that the lead singer and lead guitarist are mutually exclusive positions that having a band member assume both roles is inherently noteworthy? A lot of solo musicians sing and play guitar simultaneously.

LeadBassist is the oldest of the three (]being made in 2011), and is the most problematic out of the bunch. It's divided into multiple--often overlapping--type labels, which makes the actual definition much harder to pin down. While it provides a note that this trope is ''not'' simply about "bassists that are really good", that seems to be pretty much how it's used. The majority of the examples (32%) are type-label ZCE. Of those that have some context, most of them (28%) are simply "bassist who also does vocals". Then there are plenty of examples of "Multiple categories" (16%), where the bassist in question apparently fits multiple type-labels, and most of them simply boil down to "the bassist has great techniques/skills".

LeadDrummer is released about three years after LeadBassist, and while it doesn't have the confusing type labels as LeadBassist does, it seems to have attracted the worst gushing problems. The majority of the examples (30%) are about how great and iconic the drummers are. 26% are ZCE and 20% are simply about drummers who also sing, or vice versa (vocalists who also play drums).
