* FiveRaces: Since the setting [[WhiteAndGreyMorality isn't exactly black and white]], there are no "good" or "evil" races. Different races do have different dispositions to certain alignments, though, and each race has its own natural attunement to different deities' magic. There are:
** [[HumansAreAverage Humans]], who are not instinctively aligned with any type of magic.
** [[OurElvesAreDifferent Elves]], who are a pretty magical species and are naturally talented at sun and moon magic.
** [[OurElvesAreDifferent Drow]], who are most talented at moon and dark magic.
** [[PlantPerson Dryads]], who are [[OneGenderRace an all-female race]] exceptionally gifted with sun magic.
** [[OurGoblinsAreDifferent Goblins]], who aren't all that magical but are best at dark magic.
** [[LittleBitBeastly Beastmen]], who can be pretty magical but whose alignment depends on their spirit animal.
** [[OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame Dwarves]], who are not at all magical. At all.
** [[OurMermaidsAreDifferent Mermaids]], who are best at lunar magic but [[ImAHumanitarian will probably try to eat you]].
** Finally, [[BirdPeople Avisians]], who are a DyingRace that were formerly the messengers and warriors of the gods.

The world of Noverra is moderated by the Gods, while the monarchs administer their own kingdoms.

* GodsNeedPrayerBadly: Part of the reason Inferio was able to strike a blow against the Sun and Moon in the first place. For every follower he gained, their power waned. Now ''Inferio'' needs more followers--this time [[Orphean Rescue to bust out of]] TheUnderworld.

* PhysicalGod: The Sun and Moon deities. And the Demigod, for that matter.

* OurDemonsAreDifferent: They're once-living beings that fell into the Underworld and have been [[TheCorruption twisted by the Underworld's darkness]] into AlwaysChaoticEvil monsters. Their appearance, level of power and intelligence depends on what they were before their fall.

Their creations worshipped them wholeheartedly and spent their lives in [[{{Utopia}} a peaceful world]]--but nothing perfect lasts forever. The gods became jealous of their own creation, and descended from the heavens to feel what mortals felt: life. [[GodInHumanForm They masked themselves in mortal skin]] and attempted to live normal lives among their followers.

They had no choice but to ascend back to whence they came, but the child could not follow; he was half man, and only gods could enter that sacred realm. He was cared for, honored as a king, but as he aged, his dissatisfaction grew. He desired something [[PerfectPacifistPeople all other men before him]] never thought of in their perfect world: [[OrderVersusChaos Chaos]]. Though he was cast off by the gods' followers for denying their will, he was not alone.
