History Roleplay / Personifications

An RP series on Tumblr that consists of multiples of blogs, all spawned from one blog, [[http://apersonificationofgreed.tumblr.com/ A Personification of Greed,]] one of the many Once-ler–themed ask blogs spawned from ''WesternAnimation/TheLorax''. However, this little sub-fandom outgrew its roots and now is its own small universe, filled with angels, demons, and even the Devil himself. The main players are the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Heavenly Virtues, though there are many, many other personifications.

* PinocchioSyndrome: The first Patience gave up being a Virtue in order to be with his human love, Evangeline.

* NiceHat: A lot of the Sins have a top hat. Let's leave it at that.
** The second Pride dons a fedora with a [[SharpDressedMan matching suit]].

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters

The "Personifications" are able to take hosts as well, and these characters span over several fandoms and even include OriginalCharacters.

* AltumVidetur: The Latin names for the Virtues and Sins tend to be used whenever they're in their respective Seraph/Holy Hell Modes, or whenever something big is about to go down.

* [[BeethovenWasAnAlienSpy Abraham Lincoln Was One of Humility's Former Hosts]]: Among the several hosts that are original characters, there are some historical and famous (or in some cases infamous) people the Virtues and Sins take.

* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Temperance and the first Chastity.

* TheBet: Gluttony betted against Temperance that it could go an entire week without eating. The former cheats via magic and both of them purify/corrupt into each other's places.

* ImmortalityBeginsAtTwenty: Implied in the angels' case, seeing as how there's such thing as angel children and the oldest angels (ie. Archangels) look like in their 20's-30's.

What sets these group of [=RPers=] apart from the rest of the RP blog on tumblr is the continuity within itself, and the sense of community. While there are some inactive big name players, the active ones have created a wonderfully flowing universe, with set rules and realistic plots.

* ForWantOfANail / MakeWrongWhatOnceWentRight: One of the plots involve Georgia altering a single event, thus causing her to be the Head Archangel of Heaven and ruler of Hell. This, of course has consequences [[spoiler: such as Lily, her secretary in the normal universe being part of [[LaResistance a resistance]] against her]].

* OfficialCouple: Love/Sins' Lust
** ...And even that seems a bit shaky.
*** Well, it's now completely shaken and out of the question.
** Humility/PO-Lust

* SchizoTech: Downplayed and discussed-- In Heaven, a place where everything seems to be locked in an Classical timeframe (where there isn't any obvious allusions to modern technology), it's heavily implied [[http://patriarchofangels.tumblr.com/post/93480865435/do-angels-even-have-guns there are guns]].

** Ill-is, a more standard measurement unit in which one ill-i is 4/3 a meter.

* ScrewYourself: In the form of Hummycest-- pairing up both Humility and his corrupted self.

* ForWantOfANail / MakeWrongWhatOnceWentRight: One of the plots involve Georgia altering the outcome of the Holy War in which she'd come out victorious, although the specifics of that change isn't known. This, of course has consequences [[spoiler: such as Lily, her secretary in the normal universe being part of [[LaResistance a resistance]] against her]].

* RedHerring: Back when Lust, Temperance, and the new second Chastity went around to figure out how the first Chastity died, the second Chastity 'remembered' how his predecessor died. The memory itself involved fire, therefore they assumed Uriel was behind the death of the first Chastity due to the fact that his wings resembled fire. In reality, [[spoiler:it was Gabriel (the patron angel of fire) who did him in.]] However, Uriel was part of the reason why Chasity had to be killed in the first place.

* AlternateIdentityAmnesia: Inverted-- whenever a Sin or Virtue goes to their respective Holy Hell and Seraph mode, they'll lose memories of the life they once lived. Once they return to their standard form, whether they remember what they have done or not varies.

* BiggerOnTheInside: Humility can change the space inside of his house somehow, but only when he actually needs the space. Otherwise the rest of the rooms… just aren't there or at the very least inaccessible.

* ImmortalityBeginsAtTwenty: Implied in the angels' case, seeing as how there's such thing as angel children.
