** WordOfGod says this is what happened to Bass after he [[spoiler:absorbed part of the Mayor's FourthWallObserver powers, leading him to [[HearingVoices hear unidentified voices]].]] The madness made him [[OhCrap more violent than usual]]. This lasted until becoming Crmsn's LivingShadow during the Halloween event ''forced'' him into close contact with people he'd otherwise been avoiding. This acted as something of a weird SanityBall dropped into his lap, and he's been improving ever since, albeit still dealing with stress from what had happened.

* HearingVoices: Ren starts hearing a [[ColourCodedForYourConvenience red-tinted voice]] during the World Split that keeps abusing the fourth wall; it hangs around afterward.

* BalefulPolymorph: [[{{Gargoyles}} Demona]] goes between being a gargoyle at night and a human during the day. She [[FantasticRacism hates humans with a passion]] yet [[NotSoDifferent moves around human society and concepts]] [[DramaticIrony with complete ease]]. This change is ''agonizing'' for her.
** Inverted by both [[{{Portal2}} Wheatley]] and [[SamAndMaxFreelancePolice Doctor Norrington]]. Prior to entering the City, the former became an android while the latter obtained the ability to enter a human form.

* FalseFriend: Appears to be [[{{Gargoyles}} Demona]] for Barbara Gordon. Demona, however, forces herself to remember that [[FantasticRacism humans are bad]]. It is harder in that [[NotSoDifferent Barbara demonstrates traits that would do any gargoyle proud]] while Demona [[DramaticIrony is more of a detriment to her own kind than a help]] and [[WhatHaveIDone represses this knowledge.]]
** Caroline proposes to Starscream that she can become one to Optimus Prime and help the Decepticon find a way to kill him.

* HumansAreBastards: [[{{Gargoyles}} Demona]], [[{{Pokemon}} Berri]], and [[{{Youkai}} Ava]] all feel this way.

* MasterOfDelusion: A number of times. [[WhatHaveIDone Demona]] UpToEleven on her own handiwork.

** [[FalseFriend Demona and Barbara Gordon]]. Given the [[KnightTemplar identity]] [[FantasticRacism of the former]], this can only end badly.

* TautologicalTemplar: Trevor really seems to believe he's going to make Ink City a better place, no matter what horrors he inflicts. [[KnightTemplar Demona]] seems to be the DistaffCounterpart in this. Mind you, she's also [[MasterOfDelusion pretty much in total denial on who is to blame for her troubles]].

* AIIsACrapshoot: GLaDOS. [[ThePollyanna MADI OS]] is a subversion.

** [[TakeMeInstead This isn't actually what disturbs MADI]].

* AscendedExtra: [=MADIOS=], who is the newly self-aware AI in Vlad's computer. He clones a body from her out of hair in a [[LoveHurts shrine to a woman he could never have]] [[LaserGuidedAmnesia and erased from his memory for his sanity's sake]] [[TheAtoner and more importantly for Dani's sake, period]].

** [[FutureMeScaresMe Given his future, MADI doesn't want Vlad to leave Ink City]]. She actually ''likes'' Ink City and believes it responsible for her [[AscendedExtra awakening into sentience]].

* FutureMeScaresMe: [[DannyPhantom Vlad Masters]] was pulled from ''before'' his VillainousBreakdown and MotiveDecay. After meeting [[OppositeSexClone Dani]] and learning of what his future self has done... he's understandably concerned.

** [[DannyPhantom Vlad, Danny and Dani]] are [[OurGhostsAreDifferent half-ghost]], by way of lab accident.

** Vlad realized that he was one of these. [[LaserGuidedAmnesia He deleted his memories of said doomed love]]. Accent on [[LamePun doomed]].

** Played almost literally and rather straight when Vlad ''[[FutureMeScaresMe does it to himself]]''.

** [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman MADI OS]] seems to waver between [[HaveANiceDeath telling GLaDOS that she can go drink poison]] [[ShoutOut in the form of]] [[RevolutionaryGirlUtena canterella tea]] and telling [[{{Pokemon}} Berri]] to [[MercyKill kill Trevor to end his agony]]. She seems mostly to be [[ChronicHeroSyndrome in the habit of helping people if they deserve it or not]].

* TakeMeInstead: [=MADIOS=] begs this to GLaDOS, which kind of works. Instead of killing Vlad for what appears to be ForTheEvulz, she leaves the computer very corrupted. Said computer hasn't forgotten. She appears to be BullyingTheDragon, sending sarcastic, passive-aggressive communications until GLaDOS told her to stop. For a surprise, she does.

* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: Vlad's computer, to the point of [[AscendedExtra him choosing to give her a body]].

* ForScience [[ForTheEvulz and Evulz]]: Heloise's motivation for wanting to "examine" all the characters from other canons.

* InsaneEqualsViolent: Deliberately invoked by Mew's player; her unstable nature has been likened to [[UsefulNotes/BipolarDisorder Bipolar]], with her CuteButPsycho moments distinctly being referred to as "manic" states. In contrast, her mellower, 'depressive' states being the cue to [[ContemplateOurNavels contemplate her navel]].

* PassiveAggressiveKombat: Certain residents engage in this frequently, such as Trevor, GLaDOS, and Mew. Especially when speaking to each other.

** In fact, most witnesses [[WhatTheHellHero blatantly called out Mew]] when she took this stance with Trevor. Of course, the [[{{Squick}} rampant gore presented in gutwrenching video-feed]] may have helped that decision.

* ScienceIsBad: Thanks to [[InnocenceLost her experiences]] [[BreakTheCutie back home]], [[{{Pokemon}} Mew]] believes all scientists are evil, soulless monsters.

** Mew, on the other hand, [[CuteButPsycho took a different route]] and decided that, since DeathIsCheap, it's far better to lock someone in [[AndIMustScream a fate far worse than death]].

** In general, ''all'' the residents get broken pretty badly. Including [[{{Animaniacs}} Yakko]], who [[spoiler: [[http://ink-city.livejournal.com/141833.html went feral]] after Heloise decided to [[ItGotWorse make things worse]].]]

* MoodWhiplash: See above. It's a bit to be expected, when you're mixing characters like [[AxeCrazy Heloise]], [[FourEyesZeroSoul Mordecai]] [[{{Lackadaisy}} Heller]] and [[EmperorScientist Trevor]] with [[{{Animaniacs}} The Warner Siblings]], [[RegularShow Regular Show cast]] and {{Pokemon}}. The DarkerAndEdgier clashes nearly constantly with the LighterAndSofter, leaving quite a bipolar, chaotic game.

** [[KatamariDamacy Ichigo]] and [[{{Persona4}} Souji Seta]]. She's also [=BFFs=] with [[{{Animaniacs}} Dot]], which the latter has noted as odd since [[GenreSavvy common cliche would seemingly dicate]] that two {{Kawaiiko}}s would immediately see each others as rivals and hate each other's guts.

* ActorAllusion: When [[MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Discord]] arrives, [[RegularShow Skips]] immediately starts calling him [[StarTrekTheNextGeneration Q]].

** [[MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight]] decided to, "just this once", [[SleptThroughTheApocalypse skip out of the Nightmare Night festivities]]. It turns out, in worlds that aren't Equestria, being unsocial has its perks.

** In the main game, [[GhostTrick Lynne]] to [[MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Fluttershy]] after realizing she almost told her that the reason Missile can talk is [[spoiler:'cause he sorta died]].
