Meanwhile, the video store next to Connie's gambling room is going out of business, and Connie's gambling room is at capacity, so she decides to buy the video store and put a secret casino in the back. She invites Dale (Creator/CraigTNelson) to be her business partner, in order to pay back the fine from the Border Patrol. Connie and Dale then drive to Mississippi to buy a bunch of video poker machines from a black-market dealer.

On the drive back, Dale admits (after much persuasion from Connie) that he was wrong to break up with her. Connie then notices a suspicious car following them, and when they stop at a diner, the dealer walks in with them. The dealer says that he noticed their Texas license plates, and since video poker is illegal in Texas, he threatens to call the cops. Connie then pretends to go to the bathroom, and then goes out and knifes the dealer's tires; Dale can see it from his angle, but the dealer can't. Connie then signals to Dale to leave, and so Dale punches the dealer in the face and knocks him unconscious, and then leaves.
