* KickTheSonOfABitch:
** Deep mocks A-Train for not being able to run fast and will likely be kicked out of the Seven. While this would be cruel, A-Train was still responsible for killing Robin and Popclaw, and at the end of the episode he ratted out Supersonic to Homelander, causing his death.
** Stan Edgar tells Homelander that he's nothing but a "bad product", which would be a terrible thing to say to a person who was made in a laboratory and deprived a healthy upbringing, but this is [[PsychopathicManchild Homelander]] we are talking about.

* ShoutOut:
** Homelander serves his colleagues "the best taco bowls". This is a nod to a frequently ridiculed UsefulNotes/DonaldTrump tweet in which he praises the taco bowls served at Trump Tower to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.
** M.M.'s quips to Russian guards.

* {{Hypocrite}}: When Victoria learns of Edgar collecting evidence about her, she is visibly shocked and can't accept it at first. This is after she stabbed him in the back herself by betraying him to Homelander. [[ZigZaggedTropeThat said]] she feels great sorrow in this and only did it after direct duress to her own daughter's life, whereas what Homelander brings up about Edgar appears much more calculated.

Little clean up to make it easier to understand.

** This episode isn't the first time the words "bad product" are said. At the end of the comic, James Stillwell uttered these words after realizing superheroes weren't marketable anymore after Homelander's failed coup of the country, leading to Stillwell's mental breakdown. Though, unlike Stillwell, Edgar won't be having a mental breakdown anytime soon, considering he's confident Homelander would screw everything up now that he had no one to cover for him.
