* DumbassHasAPoint: When Grievous engages the Republic through the meteor shower, he orders all power diverted to front shields to protect the ships from impact. A battle droid, whose kind is normally extremely dimwitted, questions the wisdom of leaving themselves vulnerable to a sneak attack and is proven right when Rex hits from behind with AT-TE units stationed on the asteroids. That's right, a battle droid had better tactical skills than [[GeneralFailure Grievous]].

** During the defence of the base from the Separatist reinforcements, Fives wields two blasters.

** The commando droids are designed to be able to impersonate people. When Cody and Rex initially call up the Rishi Moon outpost to announce they're coming in, one of the commando droids puts on a clone helmet and tries to impersonate a clone trooper. It is not convincing at ''all'', and signs off with "[[CatchPhrase Roger, Roger]]", succeeding only in making Cody and Rex extremely suspicious. The fully-disguised commando droid who meets them after they land at the base is even ''less'' convincing, with extremely stilted body language and gestures, also giving itself away through "Roger, Roger".

** During the shot where Rex pulls off the helmet of the downed commando droid disguised as a clone, looking at Cody's legs will reveal the complete and total absence of the armour piece on his right thigh.
** General Grievous' cloak clasp also vanishes at one point.

** The commando droids are designed to be able to impersonate people. When Cody and Rex initially call up the Rishi Moon outpost to announce they're coming in, one of the commandos puts on a clone helmet and tries to impersonate a clone trooper. It is not convincing at ''all'', and signs off with "[[CatchPhrase Roger, Roger]]", succeeding only in making Cody and Rex extremely suspicious. Cody then simply introduces himself.

But under the cover of a meteor shower, a squad of Separatist commando droids lands near the lonely outpost and attacks, with only Fives, Echo, and Hevy being able to escape with their lives (losing squadmate Cutup to one of the giant Rishi eels). As Cody and Rex arrive at the base, their suspicions raised by a commando droid doing a poor impression of a clone over the comm channel, they and the three "shinies" have to warn the Republic about an incoming Separatist invasion before it's too late.
