*** Ezra doesn't get along with ANYONE in this episode. He snaps at Sabine when she tries to compliment him, a contrast to the Ezra of Season 1 who hung on her every word. Later, he so aggressively castigates Zeb for his reluctance to go outside and face the Krykna that Sabine is visibly taken aback. Ezra calls himself "the last Jedi in the galaxy", hinting at an inflated view of himself and his importance.

* ChekhovsGun: During the first Krykna attack, Sabine is safe as long as she's next to the sensor beacon. She layer uses this to keep them at bay.

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Downplayed, but Hera has some underlying emotional distance towards Kanan, who will be leaving shortly, while Kanan and Ezra don't seem to get along that well, either, frequently bickering with one another.

Never mind the tension with Kanan during their training sessions, he even snaps at Sabine when she notes he's gotten pretty good, asking if that meant she thought he ''wasn't'' good before. Both Hera and Sabine look taken aback at his response before Hera calms him down.
** It happens again at the climax, when Ezra yells at Zeb for not wanting to go out to face the Krykna to free the Ghost. Behind him, Sabine looks decidedly unimpressed, especially when Ezra refers to himself as "the last Jedi in the galaxy".

** Also, Ezra and Kanan don't get along that well this episode. Be it their sparring session or the way in which they attempt to combat the creatures, they end up having a discussion. At one point Ezra even gets mad at Kanan for changing the subject whenever Ezra starts winning an argument.

* FastballSpecial: Ezra and Kanan use the Force to toss Sabine over a group of creatures to the sensor beacon so she can bring it back. They overshoot it somewhat, but it works out.

* AllWebbedUp: Happens to the ''Ghost'', as the creatures are trying to prevent it from taking off. Averted with Rex; the creature that grabs him simply nests with him still firmly trapped in its legs.
* TheBeastmaster: Subverted with Ezra; despite two attempts, trying to connect with the creatures only enrages them.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: The potential rebel base is inhabited by giant, spider-like creatures.

* ImmuneToBullets: The creatures are immune to blaster fire, even the turbolasers on the ''Ghost''. Their eyes, however, are much softer.

* MutualKill: During Kanan and Ezra's sparring session, Ezra manages to get into a lethal attack position, only for Kanan to point out that he would kill Ezra in turn, courtesy of Kanan's lightsaber being pointed directly behind him and at Ezra. According to Ezra this isn't the first time it happened either.
