* LaserGuidedKarma: Squidward suffers this when [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick enjoying Opposite Day (the holiday he came up with in the first place) are what cause the realtor to cancel selling his house.

* JerkAssHasAPoint: While it was rather petty of Squidward to get angry enough at [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick to the point of trying to move away after they threw him a surprise birthday party (when it wasn't even his birthday), he certainly is in the right to be angry at them trespassing on his property and wasting his time with such frivolities, especially since it happens right after he wakes up in the morning.

When Squidward repairs his house, not wanting the realtor to see such a mess, Spongebob is so confused that he literally ties himself into knots trying to figure out why. He deduces that Squidward is being [=SpongeBob=], which is the opposite of Squidward, and that he must become Squidward, the opposite of [=SpongeBob=]

* DisproportionateRetribution: Squidward plans to move away from [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick - and to that end, tricks them into celebrating the made-up Opposite Day - because they ''threw him a birthday party when it wasn't his birthday''. Compare this to "Squidville", where he successfully moves away from [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick for the more understandable reason that they destroyed his house.
