* ForTheLulz: The reason skankhunt42 is trolling everybody is this combined with EvilFeelsGood - it's just a fun hobby to him.

** Later in the episode, the boys talk as if they're gonna murder Cartman in the woods. When in actuality, they were just going to destroy his electronics and cut him off from the internet, believing he was skankhunt42 due to his past history of sexism, misogyny, and racism.

* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: The girls mentions a few time how for too long people have been ignoring them and toss them in the background. It fits with the theme but also how until now they were mostly a background of FlatCharacter (especially when most of those complaints come from Annie Knits, a LivingProp.)

* ShootTheDog: Cartman's broken electronics is treated like bringing a dog in the woods to put him down. While Cartman is an established asshole in this episode he was just some kid who thought his friends invited to a slumber party before having all his toy broke.

* TragicMistake: The boys destroying all of Cartman's electronics then realizing he wasn't skankhunt42

* DoubleStandard: Briefly implied with one reaction to skankhunt42's trolling. When the girls and women of South Park are trolled with obscene pictures and comments, everybody makes a big deal out of it and demands something be done about the troll. However, when a male worker in an office complains about some of his pictures being vandalized by skankhunt42, his female boss tells him to buck up and ignore it.

* ShipSinking: Stan/Wendy for the third time. Though it's very obvious Wendy is reluctant to do so, and only did it due to peer pressure - though her note is much more personal than the other ones we see, hinting that there is some degree of sincerity to it.

* ThrowTheDogABone: While not stated in the episode, Butters may actually still have a girlfriend, assuming that [[GirlfriendInCanada Charlotte]] gets carried over from the previous season.

* FauxAffablyEvil: [[spoiler: Gerald]] aka skankhunt42, is seen parading throughout town acting like a WideEyedIdealist while secretly ruining people's lives by trolling. If he's not faking, it's just plain AffablyEvil.

After skankhunt42's trolling forces Heidi Turner to quit Twitter, the girls plot revenge on the boys while the boys embark on a mission to find and expose him. Meanwhile, Gerald decides to start trolling all over the world.
