Dhokla wakes up one fine morning to find that he has been struck with a sudden case of bad luck. He ends up flushing himself down his own toilet by accident as part of the unlucky happenings, and emerges from a sewer right next to his friends outside. Dhokla explains the bad luck problem to them, then gets out several lucky charms in an attempt to protect himself. The charms work... for several seconds, before Dhokla ''still'' ends up squashed by a hot air balloon containing tourists.
Dhokla is taken to the hospital to have his physical wounds treated. When asked what Samosa and friends can do about the bad luck problem, Dr. Goti Sodawala directs them to a being called Maa Mooli, who lives in a junkyard outside of town. They make it to the junkyard, which is adorned with a "Danger" sign they misread as "Anger", but upon entering the junkyard they have trouble finding Maa Mooli at first.
Maa Mooli eventually reveals herself and helps with the bad luck problem by... telling jokes. Dhokla is understandably confused as to what telling jokes could accomplish in regards to solving the bad luck problem. Maa Mooli asks Dhokla if he experienced bad luck during the jokes, and he starts to brag about his bad luck problem going away when he realizes this, but does not see his friends being randomly hit by objects falling from the sky while he does this.
