* OhCrap: The look on Hordak's face after Catra tells him Horde Prime likely won't be pleased if he arrives and Etheria hasn't been conquered clearly shows Hordak [[DidntThinkThisThrough didn't think about that when he sent his signal last season.]]

* IronicEcho: As Catra takes control of the Horde, she smirks at Hordak and says "I think you and I are going to do great things together" -- the same thing Shadow Weaver said to Micah and an infant Adora in "Light Spinner", reflecting that Catra has now turned the tables and she's the one with power over Hordak.

* KneelBeforeZod: With the crystal powering his armor torn off, Hordak is too weak to stand and thus has no choice but to kneel, as Catra stands over him and sits down on what used to be ''his'' throne.

* VillainHasAPoint: Catra presumes that Horde Prime is [[BadBoss not tolerant of failure]] and he wouldn't be pleased if Hordak failed to conquer Etheria. So Hordak should stop focusing on his "vanity projects" and focus on destroying the Rebellion. Hordak doesn't deny it, in fact the audience has already seen that Horde Prime lack of patience for weakness is why he banished Hordak in the first place.

* BaitAndSwitch: The prologue features Castaspella suddenly asking Glimmer to make an urgent decision. Once Glimmer points somewhere and makes a choice, it's revealed Glimmer was deciding on what to serve as dessert during her coronation.

* CombatPragmatist: Catra tears out a wire for the lighting system in Hordak's throne room and then in the confusion pounces on him and tears out the LUVD crystal powering his exoskeleton before he even knows what hit him.
* DoubleMeaningTitle: The episode title clearly references Glimmer's coronation into Queen but it could also be applied to Catra crowning herself the new [[BigBadDuumvirate co-leader]] of the Horde after bringing Hordak to kneel.
* DragonAscendant: Catra usurps Hordak and declares they're not going to be wasting time on his "vanity projects" any more. They're going to conquer the planet before Horde Prime arrives.
