!!Which Moon is Best?
After learning that 12 astronauts have already walked on Earth's moon, Sean wants to be the first to walk on another moon. Carrot and Celery debate on whether it should be Saturn's Enceladus or Jupiter's Europa.
----
* AccidentalMisnaming: Jet calls Neil Armstrong "Neil Strongarm".
* AreYouPonderingWhatImPondering: Jet points out that there are many other moons besides Earth's moon. Sydney then asks "Jet, are you thinking what I think you're thinking?" Jet responds "That I'd love a piece of pie right now?"
* ArgumentOfContradictions: Towards the end of their song, Carrot and Celery do this.
-->'''Celery''': Enceladus!
-->'''Carrot''': Europa!
-->'''Celery''': ''En-cela-dus!''
-->'''Carrot''': Europa!
* BuffySpeak: Mindy states that she loves talking into Jet's wristphone, which she calls a "phone thingy".
* ContinuityNod: Celery says "[[Recap/ReadyJetGoS1E6HowComeTheMoonChangesShapeNightOfABazillionStars Let's fly our little saucer to the moon]]. Of Saturn."
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: The beginning of the episode, where Sean imagines that he's on the moon, is styled like an old movie and has a duller color scheme.
* EverybodyLaughsEnding: The episode ends with the entire cast laughing after Sean slips on Enceladus.
* FailuresOnIce: Sean slips on Europa, since it is an ice moon. The same happens to Carrot.
* FeudEpisode: Sean wants to be the first person to walk on a specific Moon. For the rest of the episode, Jet's parents argue over which moon Sean should walk on: Enceladus or Europa. They even have an argument in song. Luckily, they discover that both Enceladus and Europa are good moons in their own right.
* FriendshipMoment: Sean was the first to walk on Europa, so he decides that Sydney should be the first to walk on Enceladus. Mindy lampshades how nice of a guy Sean is.
* GuestStarPartyMember: Carrot joins the trip to space, so he can prove that Europa is the best moon.
* InstantlyProvenWrong: Carrot doubts that Enceladus has any unusual features. Cue the ice geysers erupting.
* MaliciousMisnaming: Carrot calls Enceladus "En-smell-adus".
* MusicalisInterruptus: Jet interrupts Carrot and Celery's duet.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Sean suggests flying another billion miles out to Saturn, something that surprises even himself.
* QuarrelingSong: Carrot and Celery argue, in song, about which moon is better -- Enceladus or Europa.
* QuestioningTitle: The episode's title ends with a question mark.
* SecurityCling: When Celery aggressively lands the saucer on Enceladus, Sean and Carrot cling to each other.
* ShoutOut: While slipping on Europa, Celery tells Carrot "Easy there, Creator/FredAstaire".
* TriumphantReprise: The end of the episode ends with a reprise of the Enceladus vs. Europa song, only this time, Carrot and Celery agree that both of the moons are the best.

!!Detective Mindy
Mitchell's mother's sunglasses have gone missing. His father compares the kitchen counter to a black hole, prompting Mitchell to look for a black hole. Mindy joins his case as a Junior Detective.
----
* AllForNothing: Subverted. The gang spends the entire episode looking for a black hole. While it may seem like their efforts were all for naught, they piece together clues to figure out that the sunglasses were inside the vacuum cleaner (which is like a black hole) all along.
* ArtShift: When Mitchell is explaining about the missing sunglasses, it's done in a comic-book style.
* CoolShades: Sunspot gives Mr. Peterson some retro-futuristic star-shaped sunglasses to replace the ones that got crunched up by the vacuum cleaner.
* DeadpanSnarker:
-->'''Mindy''': The case of what Mitchell's doing, and I solved it! (giggles)
-->'''Mitchell''': [[SarcasmMode Yes, very funny]].
* DefrostingIceKing: Mitchells starts to defrost in this episode. Although he was hesitant at first, he allows Mindy to help solve the case with him. As they bond, Mitchell becomes friendlier.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Sunspot pulls a bunch of sunglasses out of thin air, much to Mitchell's confusion.
* HandshakeSubstitute: The kids put together pieces of evidence and discover that Mr. Peterson had knocked his wife's sunglasses down with his glass of water, and then Mrs. Peterson vacuumed them by mistake. Jet and Sean then proceed to do a fist bump.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Mitchell still acts snarky here and there, but he becomes nicer with Mindy over the course of the episode. It helps that Mindy actually helped with the case instead of getting in the way.
* KidDetective: Mindy takes up this role as she helps Mitchell. She even gets her own tinfoil badge.
* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: When Sean explains to the gang that black holes suck up objects:
-->'''Sydney''': How does it do that?\\
'''Mindy''': And how did it get there?\\
'''Jet''': [[WeirdAside And how]] [[TheTriple does my hair look today?]] (beat) Oh...not the right time?
* LaughingMad: While looking for a black hole, Jet puts a trash can over his head and starts laughing like a madman. The closed captions even say "[laughs maniacally]"
* LiteralMinded: Mitchell seriously thought that the kitchen counter was a black hole, unaware that his father was using an expression.
* MoralityPet: Mitchell clearly loves his mother, and cares about her enough to make a whole detective case out of looking for her missing sunglasses.
* MysteryEpisode: Mitchell (who himself is a KidDetective) has to find his mother's sunglasses after they go missing. Mindy helps him out. The RedHerring of the episode is a black hole, which Mitchell believes actually sucked up the sunglasses. The sunglasses were sucked up by the vacuum cleaner, so close enough.
* NotSoInnocentWhistle: Mr. Peterson finds his wife's sunglasses, only for them to be broken. He almost goes to the mall to get another pair to replace them (even though he doesn't like shopping), but Sunspot gives Celery's sunglasses to Mr. Peterson instead. Seconds later, Celery asks if anyone has seen her sunglasses, and Sunspot starts whistling.
* OffModel: Mitchell's mouth doesn't move when he says "I will never understand Jet's dog, or is he a cat?"
* PetTheDog: Mitchell is nicer towards Sean, Sydney, Jet, and especially Mindy in this episode, and forms some sort of bond with her after they solve the mystery of the missing sunglasses.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Mr. Peterson compares the kitchen counter (where his wife's sunglasses went missing) to a black hole. Mitchell doesn't ask his dad what he means by that, and thinks the kitchen counter is ''really'' a black hole, which drives the plot of the episode.
* RedHerring: Mrs. Peterson's sunglasses go missing, and Mitchell, being a detective, naturally tries to find out where his mother's sunglasses went. Mindy, Sean, Sydney, Sunspot, and Jet all get involved in this mystery, too, one by one. Mr. Peterson said the kitchen counter, where Mrs. Peterson lost her sunglasses, was like a black hole, which causes all the kids to believe that the kitchen counter really is a black hole, and they waste their time trying to find an actual black hole. In the end, it is revealed that Mr. Peterson was just using an expression.
* ShipTease: Although it's established in episodes before this that Mindy may [[PuppyLove like Mitchell]], here he actually shows signs of liking her back. Mitchell lets Mindy be a detective with him, and they bond after solving the case of the missing sunglasses. The icing on the cake is when at the end of the episode, Mitchell gets down on one knee and suggests that he wants a friendship with Mindy. Then the other kids cheer wildly as the episode ends. This is treated as if Mitchell asked Mindy to marry him.
* ShipperOnDeck: Jet, Sean, and Sydney are clearly Mitchell/Mindy shippers. When Mitchell says that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship for him and Mindy, the others cheer wildly as if they just got engaged.
* ShoutOut:
** As Mitchell is talking about his case, a cereal similar to Advertising/CapnCrunch can be seen.
** Mitchell tells Mindy "I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship, Junior Detective Mindy.", which is a reference to ''Film/CasaBlanca''.
