Not retribution if you're helping them achieve their goal.

* DisproportionateRetribution: The kids set up a sno-cone stand in order to raise money to send astronauts to Mars. Now, an important characteristic of Sean's is that he wants to grow up to be the leader of the first human mission to Mars. Mr. Peterson comes by the kids' sno-cone stand, and Mindy informs him that buying a sno-cone will help send Sean to Mars. Mr. Peterson recognizes Sean as the kid who keeps kicking his soccer ball into his yard, and then Mr. Peterson proceeds to purchase several. Sean sets up a sno-cone stand to help raise money to send a spaceship to Mars. But it’s the hottest day of the year and he quickly runs out of ice, and he can’t find any nearby. Then Jet has an idea where they can go to get some ice—Saturn’s ice moon, Enceladus!

'''Curriculum''': Enceladus is a small moon of Saturn that contains a liquid ocean underneath an outer layer of ice. It has “ice volcanoes” that shoot geyser-like jets of water vapor into space. Some of the water vapor falls back as “snow” and the rest escapes, which supplies most of the material making up Saturn’s ring.

Jet builds a mini-flying saucer in his garage and wants to test it, but to succeed, he has to learn what gravity is and how it works.

'''Curriculum''': Gravity is an invisible pulling power that every object has—planets, moons, stars, and YOU. Gravity pulls all objects in the universe toward one another. The bigger and heavier an object is (the more mass it has), the more gravity it has.

* AbsenteeActor: Carrot isn't in this episode.
* ChirpingCrickets: The kids make their own sno-cone stand so they can raise money to send astronauts to Mars. Sean insists that since it's so hot out, they should be able to sell a ton of them, but then crickets start chirping since no one is there.
* ContinuityNod: Mindy hula-hoops to distract the angry customers, and dubs it a Saturn ring dance. In a prior episode, "What's Up With Saturn's Rings?", the kids hula hoop with multiple hoops to reference how Saturn has a lot of rings.
In short, ''Mr. Peterson wants to banish Sean to Mars just for kicking his soccer ball into his yard''.
* DrawingStraws: The kids decide to draw straws to see who gets to collect the ice shooting out of Enceladus. Whoever picks the shortest straw has to go. Sean is hesitant because he ''always'' picks the short straw. However, Sunspot picks the short straw this time around and collects the ice to save Sean's behind.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Jet offhandedly mentions that the sno-cones are even colder than the ice-popcakes of the frozen star system of Marzipan, implying that there are more alien species out there besides the Bortronians. However, this is never mentioned again.
* PrecociousCrush: Building on from "Visit to Mom's Office", Jet excitedly greets Dr. Rafferty when she passes by Sean's sno-cone stand, but she ignores him.
* RiddleForTheAges: What exactly is the frozen star system of Marzipan like?
* ShipTease: When Jet tells Sean that the best ice doesn't come from the supermarket, he puts his arm around him and his hand on his chest.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: When the kids run out of ice, Jet mentions that instead of going to the supermarket, they could go somewhere else to get special, unique, out-of-this-world ice. Sean says that he thinks he knows where this is going.
* WeNeedADistraction: The kids run out of ice for their sno-cone stand, so they decide to fly to Enceladus to get more. However, the Propulsions need to keep secret that they are aliens, so in order to distract the angry customers, Mindy sings a reprise of "My Name Is Mindy" while hula-hooping to distract them from seeing the Propulsion van turn into a flying saucer.

* AbsenteeActor: Carrot and Celery aren't in this episode.
* {{Acrofatic}}: Sean can run at the same speed as super-athletic Jet when chasing after Sydney in the flying saucer.
* BinocularShot: Utilized when Mitchell is spying outside Jet's garage.
* ChaseScene: The latter half of the episode focuses on Sydney piloting Jet's mini-saucer and Jet and Sean chasing after her.
* DistantReactionShot: At the end of the episode, Mitchell screams at the sky, and his scream is so loud, that the camera zooms out on the Earth.
* DontSneakUpOnMeLikeThat: In the episode, Mindy sneaks up on Mitchell as he is spying on Jet. He gets very startled. No violence is involved since this show is for young children.
-->'''Mitchell''': ...Mindy?!? Don't sneak up on me like that!
* {{Fainting}}: Mitchell faints at the very sight of Mindy, after she sneaks up on him a second time.
* {{Foreshadowing}}:
** Even though she sorta [[DrivesLikeCrazy drove like crazy]], Sydney did a relatively decent job piloting the mini saucer without Jet's help, and had a lot of fun in the process. This foreshadows Sydney becoming the official co-pilot of the family saucer in Season 2.
** Mitchell spies on Jet instead of just simply asking him about his invention, foreshadowing Mitchell's anxiety of lack of social skills when it comes to making friends.
* HeWentThatWay: Mitchell tries to chase after Jet's flying saucer. Mindy tells him that the flying saucer went to the right. Mitchell assumes if Mindy says he's going to the right, [[InsaneTrollLogic then he must be going to the left]]. Of course, Jet didn't actually go left.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Mindy points out that Mitchell's dislike of being snuck up on is hypocritical because he's a detective, so he should know all about sneaking up on people.
* IWorkAlone: Mitchell rejects help from Mindy on his stakeout since he thinks that detectives are supposed to figure stuff out for themselves.
* MassOhCrap: Everyone freaks out when Mindy informs them that Mitchell is in fact spying on them.
* {{Pun}}: "Has gravity got you down?" "Yeah, it's a drag!" (badumtsh)
* {{Rimshot}}: Done by Sunspot when Jet and Face 9000 make puns relating to gravity.
* SayMyName: Mitchell screams Jet's name at the end of the episode.
* ShipTease:
** Mindy and Mitchell have some in the episode. Mindy continually sneaks up on Mitchell, and the second time she does so, he faints.
** Jet gets really up close to Sean at one point.
* SkywardScream: Mitchell screams Jet's full name at the end of the episode, after proclaiming that he will figure out Jet's alien identity one day.
* TheStakeout: Mitchell goes on a stakeout with his dog Cody to spy on Jet's garage and see what he's building in there.
* StalkerWithACrush: The tables turn as Mindy becomes this to Mitchell in the episode, repeatedly sneaking up on him.
* StatingTheSimpleSolution: Mindy says that Mitchell should just ask Jet what he's building instead of spying on him, but Mitchell still thinks it's a good idea to spy on Jet because "that's what detectives do".
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Mindy tells Mitchell next door that Jet is building a flying saucer. This causes him to get suspicious and begin his SeriesGoal to learn the truth.
* WhamEpisode: Mitchell goes from a pointless side character to a downright threat to Jet's alien identity, by proclaiming that he will uncover Jet's alien identity at the end of the episode, thus beginning his SeriesGoal to expose Jet as an alien.
