The 'vacation doors' which lead to isolated places where there are no humans around are similar in concept to the door Waternoose banished Mike and Sulley through.through.
** The vehicle Mike tries to bribe Argus with is the same one he used in the short ''WesternAnimation/MikesNewCar''.

* HypocriticalHumor: When telling off the group at the end of the episode, Mike lists all the things they’ve done during the incident, including attempting to bribe Argus. Sulley points out that it was Mike himself who tried to do that last bit, but Mike just ignores this.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: When Argus returns from the vacation door, he looks eased up enough to be willing to let MIFT off the hook for the power outage and the attempted cover-up. However, in spite of his well-needed vacation, he makes it clear that he still intends to write them up though he decides to let them off with a warning instead of filing for Duncan's termination (or even banishment) as he originally suggested. No inspector worth their salt would ever just turn a blind eye to whatever it was they were hired to inspect, even if they feel generous enough to let the inspected facility off with a warning without pushing for anyone's termination. At the end of the day, vacation or not, Argus had a job to do.
