* ArtisticLicencePhysics: Dark Owl threatens to freeze the Eiffel Tower to "minus 700 degrees", shattering. No matter what temperature system he's using that's ''significantly'' below absolute zero, the coldest temperature possible- in Celsius, the one he'd mostly likely be using in France, it's almost 3 times colder! To be fair he was likely bluffing but still, you'd expect him to give a bluff that wasn't scientifically incoherent.

That's a Badass Boast trope

* OnceKilledAManWithANoodleImplement: When was the last time you heard of a villain trying to kill the heroes with ''whipped cream''? As he explains, whipped cream is simultaneously too thick to swim in and not thick ''enough'' to float in, so it would have actually ''worked'' too.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Dark Owl's traps may be something out of a parody of the Creator/AdamWest Series/{{Batman}}, which was ''already'' a parody itself, but they were ''actually good'' and he's come closer to winning than the villains with more standard powers and tactics. By the end, he's pulling out one of her earrings, causing her to partially demorph.

** The episode has multiple ''Franchise/{{Batman}}'' references, with Mr. Damocles basing his heroic identity on a BatmanParody.
** The original classic comic for The Owl features a human butler, while Mr. Damocles uses an A.I.. This is a reference to the ''Franchise/IronMan'' character, Jarvis, who went under a similar transition into the MCU.

Doesn't explain why it's surprisingly realistic.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Mr. Damocles is an overweight and out-of-shape middle-aged man living on a principal's salary. His attempt at becoming a costumed superhero goes about as well as you'd expect. He does much better at the end, doing everyday 'heroics' like helping people on the street with minor problems as well as various community service projects; despite doing it while wearing his owl disguise, which gained him general mockery at first, he actually gains respect and admiration this way.
** Given Mr. Damocles' distinctive appearance, his "disguise" fools absolutely no one who has firsthand knowledge of him. Marinette and Adrien have been well aware of his identity since before the episode started.

** The scene where Mr. Damocles struggles to buckle the belt on his superhero costume is a clear reference to ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles''.

"too thick to breathe in" doesn't make sense
