* BottleEpisode: Of a sort. Except for a brief scene at Past!Bishops's lab (which is simply a redressed Waverider set), the entire episode takes place either on the Waverider or at Spooner's old house.

* {{Cliffhanger}}: The gang is about to leave 1925, but they end up stranded in 1925 Texas when the Waverider is destroyed...by another Waverider!

Even if one assumes ''Series/Invasion2016'' was retconned out by Crisis, that still leaves all the aliens in both ''Series/Supergirl2015'' and ''Series/SupermanAndLois'' that should have been taken care of, including the Kryptonians themselves.

* IHatePastMe: Similar to FutureMeScaresMe above, Bishop is outright embarassed by his young self.
* ImmediateSequel: Picks up right after the last episode, with Mick being thrown back by the explosion on the Waverider.

* KarmicDeath: Bishop is EatenAlive by Mick and Kayla's freshly-hatched Necrian children, one episode after nearly [[WouldHurtAChild blowing them to smithereens]].

* ThePowerOfLove: After Ava and Sara finishing their vows, a powerful wave of energy obliterates all of the Zagurons.

** Ava and Sara mention the latter's initial marriage proposal many times.

** Zari is still really, really pissed at John for what happened the last few episodes.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The Cruz house isn't ''that'' far from town, but not a line is uttered about whether the rest of the town noticed the aliens or if the rest of the horde had some snacks on the way to hunt the Legends.

When Sara realizes Bishop's plan, Ava convinces Sara to allow the Legends to make exception to the rules to help fight back. Behrad comes up with an interesting plan, that allows Sara to connect with an old friend. Meanwhile, amidst a battle Sara and Ava make an important decision but need the help of the team to pull it off.

* AcquiredPoisonImmunity: Mick surviving Bishop's booby trap is handwaved by his years of pyromania.

* BackFromTheDead: Constantine returns back from the dead, having sold his soul to a demon in Hell.

* MadeOfIron: Mick survives a point blank explosion with, at best, minor injuries.

* VillainBall: Instead of staying in Kayla's ship and blasting the Legends with the ship's weapons, or simply blasting them while they're distracted, Bishop simply walks up with his rifle and rants long enough for Mick's babies to hatch.

Then, the Fountain is revived and destroys the Zagaron army instantly.
* EtherealWhiteDress: When John appears in Sara's vision, he's clad entirely in white clothing, including his hair and trenchcoat.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: When it seems clear they're all about to die, the Legends decide to huddle around Ava and Sara so they can complete their wedding.
* FlashStep: An ability of the Zagarons, allowing them to more easily overwhelm the Legends.

** Nate when the Legends see the Zagarons have landed and are waiting for nightfall to attack. It only works for a short time before they are overwhelmed.

* LifeOrLimbDecision: Behrad becomes infected with the same poison that killed Sara's original body. Sara picks up an axe to chop Behrad's hand off, reasoning that it's the only way to save him. Luckily, Spooner arrives to transfer Sara's healing ability into Behrad, saving his hand.

* OhNoNotAgain: Gideon says this almost exactly when she comes online only to be immediately knocked off by a pre-recorded message from Bishop.

** Constantine leaves the Legends to find his own path. However this is subverted for his actor Creator/MattRyan who has been confirmed to play a new character next season.

* SpeakNowOrForeverHoldYourPeace: Subverted. Nate, acting as the minister, is ''about'' to say this, but then Bishop arrives before he can.
* TemptingFate: Ava notes that it's unusual for a storyline of theirs to end on a happy note. Cue the Waverider being destroyed by another Waverider.
