Thanks to the Wen Clan's manipulations, a malicious spirit called the Aqua Demon [[note]]Waterborne Abyss in the official novel translation[[/note]] begins to cause trouble in Caiyi Town. Some disciples, including Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, are sent to investigate and deal with the matter.
