* PlankGag: Boober carries a pole over his shoulders, with a bag at either end, when leaving for the Caves of Boredom. As he's setting out, Wembley starts to follow him, almost getting hit whenever Boober turns. He ducks out of the way the first three times, but the fourth time's the charm.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: Mokey starts to reads Boober her latest poem, but he interrupts her in the middle of it, inspired to move away by the lines about wanting a quiet place when Fraggle Rock is noisy. Later, Wembley visits him at the Caves of Boredom and is caught by the forgetfulness spell and the killer plants. Still later, when Mokey arrives with Gobo and Red and they forget what they're doing, she drops the poem, which she had brought so she could read all of it to Boober. Boober, who is rapidly losing his own memory, finds it and reads the whole poem. [[spoiler:The last lines are about missing one's friends and the songs and meals they've shared... which helps Boober start to remember that the little green Fraggle caught in the killer plants is his friend.]]

* FantasySequence: Boober has one while singing, "I'm Never Alone," a song about preferring his own company to that of others. In it, multiple Boobers dance around a Maypole and do laundry.

* TheHermit: Boober decides to be this to escape the noise of Fraggle Rock. His song "I'm Never Alone" is about how he prefers his own company to that of others.

* MusicForCourage: Subverted, when Boober and Wembley want to leave the Caves of Boredom but can't remember the way out. Wembley suggests they sing the "Remembering Song" to keep their spirits up. But as they sing, their memory gets progressively worse, until most of the lyrics have been reduced to "something" and "na-na." Meanwhile, the [[ManEatingPlant killer plants]] in the caves keep reaching out and trying to grab them.

* FailedASpotCheck: Justified. Boober's friends get caught by the killer plants in the Caves of Boredom. Because of the amnesia-inducing mist, when Boober looks at them, he fails to notice that the plants have them in their grip.

Tired of the noise and hustle-and-bustle at Fraggle Rock, Boober moves to the Caves of Boredom to live a quiet and secluded lifestyle. However, after a visit to the Storyteller, Gobo, Red, and Mokey realize the caves have another name: the Caves of Forgetfulness, because those who stay there forget who they are. What's more, the caves are full of plants that entwine and kill anyone who stays there long enough. (There would be warning signs if anyone remembered to put them up.) They go to save Boober—and Wembley, who was visiting him—but they forget what they're doing upon arrival. Boober manages to remember everything and help his friends escape, deciding Fraggle Rock isn't such a bad place after all.
