Emmie has slept over at Doc's house, but they went to bed a bit late and so are sleepy at breakfast. Doc groggily pours orange juice into her cereal, and Mr. [=McStuffins=] explains that sleep deprivation can make people cranky and spacy. Doc, Emmie, and Mr. [=McStuffins=] play tea party, then the non-Doc humans leave, so Doc and her toys start playing.
However, Susie Sunshine is uncharacteristically cranky, so Doc gives her a check-up. Doc notices that Susie is yawning and her eyes no longer close when she lies down, so she concludes that Susie's eyes are stuck open (which she dubs "eyes-wide-itis"), causing her to not get any sleep, explaining the yawning and the crankiness. Doc realises that she and Emmie ate ice pops the night before and realises some of the juice must have fallen onto Susie's eyes.
Doc cleans the juice off, and Susie takes a nap. When she wakes up, she is happier, so the tea party continues.
