* AbsenteeActor: William doesn't appear in this episode to try and fight the Lyoko Warriors, although it could be [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] as him not having a vehicle or a way to fight in the World Wide Web. There are fish in the world wide web, however, and Aelita says they're under XANA's control.

* ContrivedCoincidence: School classes are cancelled for the day, but there's a fire safety drill, meaning that the entire building is locked down.
* CrisisMakesPerfect: At the beginning of the episode, Jérémie tries and fails to rock-climb in P.E. class, leading to him being chastised by Jim. Naturally, he has to rock climb for real later on when he has to retrieve a CD from his room, but the building is blocked off due to a fire drill, making climbing the roof of the dorms the only option he has to get to his room.

* TheGreatestStoryNeverTold: While the Lyoko Warriors are stuck in the Skid, Jérémie must scale the rooftop of Kadic's dorms to get back to his room and get his CD, due to a fire drill closing off access to the building. Jérémie doesn't tell the others, figuring they would never believe him, but this is [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] when Odd manages to correctly guess what Jérémie did. [[DoubleSubversion Double Subverted]] when it turns out Odd was joking, and nobody actually believes Jérémie did it.

[[DoubleSubversion Double Subverted]] when it turns out Odd was clearly joking, and nobody actually believes Jérémie did it.goes on to explain and they all laugh regardless, just due to the absurdity of it.

* MissingMissionControl: Jérémie temporarily, due to needing to get his debugging CD for the Skid.
* OhCrap: Everyone's reaction when a bug surfaces in the code of the Skid.
* RunningGag: For once, Jim wants to talk about being in the fire rescue with the firemen.
* ShoutOut: The song playing when cruising in the Skid is very clearly based on a bunch of classical songs, such as Tchaikovsky's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rTjJUcJNAw "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy"]].
