Rupert and Earl are back, once again to destroy Calvin and Hobbes. They prepare their crew (consisting of Erne, Alex, Biff, Zack, Dave, Carl, Jay, Alfred, and Lenny) and teleport down to the planet, where they take on their holographic human disguises. They plant one member of their crew at key locations in Calvin's neighborhood, and they wait for him to arrive.
Sure enough, Calvin and Hobbes decide to hit the general store for a snack. On the way, they end up surrounded in all directions by Rupert, Earl and their crew. The aliens try to attack, but they aren't used to their human forms and end up getting their butts handed to them. With no other choice, the aliens are forced to retreat, and Calvin and Hobbes go about their merry way.
Frustrated by defeat, Rupert and Earl gather up their crew, although they didn't write down where everyone was, so they aren't sure if they have everyone. They teleport back to the ship, unknowingly leaving Lenny behind.
Calvin and Hobbes find Lenny on the way home. Although they try to avoid him, he ends up tagging along with them. Calvin decides to ask Sherman for advice on what to do with him. The genius hamster points out how Lenny's molecular structure is different than theirs, and as such, he will have to be maintained differently. His body needs special oxygen tablets and such for him to survive on an alien world. Sherman can replicate these, so they leave Lenny with him to study.
After he and Andy study him and figure out what he'll need, they leave him at Socrates' place. Socrates tries to leave him to his own devices, but Lenny ends up burning himself on cold water. Zokians actually drink molten lava.
The group then try taking him to the general store to get him spicy food to eat as it might be the only thing he can digest. After causing a minor ruckus at the store, they find he really likes Mexican food, and he seems to think hot sauce is a soft drink.
Meanwhile, Rupert and Earl have finally realized that Lenny is missing. Since he's their designated pilot, they decide to go back down and rescue him. They teleport with the crew to Socrates' mansion, and after the crew wander through the prank-mindfield that is his front yard, they make it to the front door, and when they enter, they find Calvin, Hobbes, Andy, Sherman, Socrates and Lenny playing Monopoly, waiting for them. After an awkward exchange, they take Lenny with them and simply leave.
But then Lenny tells all the crew about the wonderful hot sauce...
