* SeriesContinuityError: Cordelia's reference to the Scooby Gang decrypting discs places "Blind Date" on the same day as [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS4E21Primeval "Primeval"]], but "Primeval" runs continuously from [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS4E20TheYokoFactor "The Yoko Factor"]], which Angel appeared in, but the previous ''Angel'' episode [[Recap/AngelS01E20WarZone "War Zone"]], which would have to be set between "The Yoko Factor" and "Blind Date", takes place over multiple days.

** Cordelia calls up Willow to enlist her help in translating the encrypted discs. "Guess what ''they've'' been doing all week?" Actually, the Scoobies have been busy decrypting Adam's files (a plot point in the ''Buffy'' episode "[[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS4E21Primeval Primeval]]", which aired concurrently with this one).

At the trial proceedings, Lindsey [=MacDonald=] is delivering an impassioned speech on behalf of this poor, persecuted lady. Enter Angel, busting through he courtroom doors like Atticus Finch and flinging an object toward the front of the room. From her seat, Vanessa raises an arm and neatly catches her sunglasses, causing the attendees to gasp aloud. Lindsey looks less than pleased.

** Lee says that Lindsey got Vanessa off with a hung jury, i.e. a jury that refused to all agree with each other about the verdict, but a hung jury usually leads to the judge declaring a mistrial and having the case re-tried with a new jury.

* ArtisticLicenseLaw: Holland tells Lindsey to invent an abusive childhood for Vanessa in the event she gets caught murdering the children, so that she can be found not guilty by reason of insanity. He says this is to prevent her being incarcerated, since she's a valuable resource to their clients. But in the real world, being found not guilty by reason of insanity would still lead to her being incarcerated, just in a mental asylum instead of a prison. And for an offense like that, she wouldn't be coming out for a ''long'' time.

* RedemptionEqualsDeath: Lindsey gets a case of WouldntHurtAChild when he is tasked by his law firm to prepare a defense for a contract killer set to kill some innocent children. He runs to Angel Investigations in an attempt at a HeelFaceTurn but balks at the idea of returning to the highly secured law firm to help Angel stop the assassination since it could mean his death. Angel then accuses Lindsey of being more worried about self preservation than changing for the better and tries to invoke this trope.

* IgnoredEpiphany: Lindsey decides he can't let Wolfram and Hart kill some kids and so helps Angel and company save them. Naturally, his bosses were aware of it, but they know him, and with some praise for going up against them and winning, and the offer of a promotion, a raise and "ungodly benefits", he ends up joining them again.
