Constance is out walking a dog. Tate watches her from a window and doesn't acknowledge her when she waves at him. Marcy sees Constance wave, leaving her confused as she can't see anyone at the window.
Ben is out jogging and encounters Larry again, asking for his $1000. Later on, Ben tears his office apart looking for the recorder. He blacks out again and woken up by Constance. He begins digging. Constance claims the soil won't support plants due to the pesticide and suggests building a gazebo instead. Moira looks on from an upstairs window.
Vivien is viewing ads for potential apartments when the doorbell rings. After the recent home invasion, Vivien makes sure to check the peephole before answering. Outside stands Nora who claims she has an appointment to view the house. Vivien arms herself with a candlestick before letting her in. Nora exclaims at the beauty of the house, noticing how every thing has been restored to how its original state. Upon entering the kitchen, Nora is horrified at the modern appliances. Vivien mentions she's pregnant which sparks Nora's interest. Vivien asks Nora if she'd like tea which she accepts. As Vivien turns to get the tea she was making, Nora vanishes.
The detective returns to inform Ben that they found missing Sally. It turns out that she had overdosed and put herself in a coma with no identification. She did however have Ben's recorder which had taped Ben's blackout. Sally was uncharacteristically violent and slashed her wrists with Ben's letter opener. The detective thinks that Ben's lack of action makes him legally accountable for her.

Outside, Vivien is cutting the rose bushes when she hears the tour guide for the 'Eternal Darkness Tour'.
Later on, Ben catches Violet smoking despite her attempts at hiding it. Ben knows she's smoking and claims that he's not there to bust her. He then says that he's going easy on her in light of recent events. He offers to find a therapist for Violet if she wants to talk about it. As he leaves, Tate emerges. He tells Violet that she's lucky to have a caring dad.
Ben confronts Moira about the recorder once again. She attempts to seduce him again, saying the recorder may be hiding in her dress. She says its absence shouldn't be a problem as his next patient is here.
Confused as he has no patients booked in, Ben enters his office to find Hayden. She tells Ben that she didn't have the abortion, she's moving to LA and wants Ben to support her financially. The conversation is cut short by Detective Jack Colquitt. Hayden makes plans to see Ben the following day. Ben thinks the detective is there to discuss the home invasion when in fact, he's there from the Missing Persons Division. He's searching for Sally, Ben's boring patient. Her husband had reported that she hadn't returned home. After seeing Moira in her skimpy outfit, Colquitt asks, 'How the hell do you get anything done with that thing around?'

She demands Charles see a young girl named Dorothy and perform an abortion. Dorothy pays Nora $60. Nora then drugs her and takes her down to the basement. Dr Montgomery performs at least a dozen illegal abortions by 1926.

2010 - Chad Warwick is lighting candles and carving pumpkins for a Halloween party. The Halloween party is supposed to get people interested in buying the house he and his partner live in. Chad confronts his partner, Patrick about having sex with his gym trainer. They fight that the passion in their relationship is gone and that they're tied together due to the finances tied into the restoration. After Patrick leaves, Chad sees the Rubber Man (someone dressed in the fetish suit) standing by the door. Chad laughs and mistakes him for Patrick. The Rubber Man proceeds to drown Chad in an apple bobbing bucket and turns to see Patrick wearing a cowboy outfit.
2011 - Ben, Vivien and the realtor, Marcy discuss ways of selling the house. Marcy wants to include 'fluffers' to improve the image of the house. Vivien agrees and Marcy plans to hire a gay man to do the job.
Travis, Constance's toy boy, is reading about the origins of Halloween to Addy. Constance seems frustrated with him and instructs him to go out to buy groceries and cigarettes. Addy can read but has been telling Travis that she can't. Constance thinks Addy is vying for Travis' affections and warns her that after sacrificing 30-odd years of her life to her, she will not be sharing her men too.
Larry shows up to extort money from Ben for killing and burying Hayden. Ben sends him away as he has a patient to see. Tate didn't see the new therapist Ben set up for him but Ben thanks him for being there to help Violet during the home invasion. He does, however, want to know why he was there. Tate lies but Ben continues to stick the rule that Tate is too close to Violet to be seen at the house. Tate is tearful but agrees to meet Ben for coffee in the park.
A security officer is going through the new security system set up in the Harmon house to Vivien. Moira is carving pumpkins brought by Marcy. Moira requests that she have Halloween off so she can visit her mother. Outside, Vivien finds Chad and Patrick discussing the rosebushes. She mistakes them for Marcy's 'fluffers' and invites them inside.
Ben, Vivien, Chad and Patrick are indoors carving pumpkins. Chad and Patrick's ghosts continue to play the part of the 'fluffers' and bicker continuously. Chad insists the gazebo built in the garden will not help to sell the house and should be replaced with an organic garden. Ben accidentally cuts himself with a knife and Patrick offers to help. Ben goes to the bathroom and is approached by Patrick who attempts to seduce him with a blowjob, which Ben declines. Vivien and Chad discuss Patrick's indiscretions they prepare more decorations. Chad says he discovered the truth after looking through cell phone records which can't be deleted the same way texts can.
Upstairs, Addy scares Violet by grabbing her ankle from under the bed. Addy asks Violet to make her into a 'pretty girl.' Addy asks if Violet is Tate's girlfriend and if she's a virgin. Violet looks for Tate in the basement and doesn't admit that she's scared of him, especially when he comes out wearing the rubber suit. They both use a Ouija board to contact Dr. Charles Montgomery. Violet wants to know what Tate did to the intruders in the basement. He claims that it wasn't him as he had help. He tells her the story of Charles Montgomery and his abortion clinic. He adds that his wife, Nora received threatening phone calls from an angry father of an aborted child. He kidnaps the Montgomery's baby which the police bring back, dismembered and in jars. Nora wanted to bury the child in a lace Christening dress but Charles stitched the parts back together. Tate insists that the entity still resides in the basement of the house. Violet laughs and doesn't believe him. She tells him that they should go on a 'real date' away from the house. Tate agrees to do so the following night.
Ben meets Tate at the local park. He discloses his own troubled childhood to Tate whilst smoking. He tells him that he's lucky he got through it with his family's help.
Constance finds Addy in bed, upset as she doesn't want to go trick-or-treating. Constance relents and lets Addy go as a 'pretty girl' as long as she wears a vinyl mask.
Ben and Vivien are dressing up in their costumes. Vivien confronts Ben about Hayden, after examining his phone bills and contacts. Ben claims that he'd had minimal contact with her and he hadn't seen her in Boston. He says he won't be calling her back. Vivien's phone rings and she sees it's Hayden's number. She says she will call her back.
Downstairs, Chad continues to decorate the house. He insults the cheesiness of Ben's outfit and freaks out over the wrong apple choice. The freak out culminates in him screaming that the Harmons should get out of the house. Vivien demands that the fluffers leave. Just as they go to exit, they see the Rubber Man and run terrified from the back of the house. Vivien turns on Ben, saying she's had enough of his lies and that he should leave too. Immediately, Vivien clutches her stomach in pain and passes out on the floor.
Violet is left in the house, instructed not to answer the door. She reads whilst blaring her iPod loudly. She doesn't hear Addy ringing the doorbell, wanting Violet to see her 'pretty girl' costume. She follows a group of bitchy girls in an attempt to fit in. As she crosses the road, her field of vision is blocked by her mask and she is hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Ben and Vivien are finally seen in the emergency room. During an ultrasound, the doctor asks about the pregnancy timeline. She claims that the baby is much larger than it should be at eight weeks. Peering further, the doctor sees something and suddenly passes out.
Constance rushes outside to find Addy being attended to by paramedics. She ignores their help, instead dragging Addy towards the lawn of the Harmon house. She insists that Addy be with her friends. It appears she doesn't get there in time before Addy dies.
Moira walks the hallways of a long-term care facility. She finds her comatose mother hooked to a respirator. Moira feels guilty for not being there for her and vows to set her free. She unhooks the machines and lets her mother die. Her mother's ghost bids that Moira should come with her but Moira cries and says that she can't.
Larry is furiously pounding on the door, demanding that Ben give him is $1,000. He ends up scaring away oncoming trick-or-treaters. Violet calls Ben while Larry menaces her through the door. Over her shoulder, the Rubber Man appears. When Ben and Vivien arrive home, they call for a missing Violet. There's a knock at the door. It's Hayden, ghoulish and smirking. He slams the door in her face.

In another room, Moira catches Constance stealing silverware. They both clearly hate each other with Constance calling her a terrible maid and a theif of biblical proportions (alluding to the 'affair' Moira had with Constance's husband). Constance intends for Moira to be blamed for the missing items in the house so the Harmons will fire her. Moira breaks down, furious with Constance and frustrated that she's trapped in the house and unable to move on. Constance continues to say that Moira put herself in her situation.
Ben's newest patient is a woman named Sally. She's approaching a divorce as her husband believes she's boring despite her best efforts. As she talks, Ben zones out and becomes distracted. He regains conciousness in the back garden, his hands bloody. He washes the blood off his hands and enters to see Moira cleaning blood off the hallway floor. She says she didn't see anything and that she's already cleaned his office, ready for the next patient. Ben realises his digital recorder used during his session with Sally is missing.
