The Angeles South University football team, led by Coach Damon King, goes to Beverly High for the combine, which evaluates prospective players for a football scholarship. Upon learning that his mother is declining her college application to save money for his tuition, Spencer is determined to get the scholarship, competing with both his teammates and the South Crenshaw High football team, including its star player Cameron. Meanwhile, Jordan attempts to be seen as his own man, instead of being the coach's father, while Olivia urges Asher, down on his luck, to apply for the combine.
