It's night in Yil port where Sunshine has been left. In the prison in the desert, the jailer tells Alfred and the company not to worry about the fact they're not being fed - because they will be shot right at dawn, and "the boy in the corner" too, before they'll get hungry. Stoppel calls it insanity and swears they haven't done anything illegal, but the jailer tells him they committed a crime against Yil when they smuggled guns to Salem, their longtime enemy. He leans his back against the bars while Stoppel insists it isn't true, and that it's a terrible mistake.

When Stoppel desperately says they can prove it in court, the jailer calmly tells him there's no court. Professor Kell protests angrily, jumping in place and flying to Stoppel's shoulder. He yells that it's crazy and he wants to speak to the jailer's superior at once. The jailer reveals that he is the prison's commander, shocking Kell and Stoppel. The jailer tells them that he's a kind man and they will be executed quickly so that they don't need to starve, before he walks away laughing. Stoppel calls for him to wait, but he leaves.

When the jailer is gone, prince Shallaman takes off his veil and tells Stoppel not to bother. Stoppel says the jailer threatened to execute him too, and Shallaman says he doesn't want to die. Stoppel says the jailer interrupted their conversation, and asks again what was Shallaman arrested for. To cut a long story short, Shallaman says, he fell in love with the princess of Yil, Budor. While Stoppel looks somehow dissappointed, Shallaman continues that he first met Budor in Yilsalem, the city everybody was free to visit wherever they were from, and it was love at first sight for both of them. Stoppel glances at Alfred, and Shallaman continues that last night he sneaked into the Yil palace, because he wanted to see her. Stoppel says he took a great risk, and Shallaman explaine he's there now because the guard thought he was a thief. Kell's eyes widen and Stoppel tells Shallaman what he did was extremely reckless, but adds that he's such a brave man who doesn't even seem afraid to die. Shallaman climbs to the top bunk and tells Stoppel he's wrong there, looking out of the barred window and saying that he is afraid. He tells them he didn't come to Yil alone, he had two "attendants" who weren't caught. And they know he's held captive there. Stoppel says they might come back to help Shallaman get out, and Shallaman says they have to. Alfred wonders aloud how are they going to do it.

Outside two goats in dark blue ride cames thought the desert, armed with poles and two other camels with them. The guard in the tower with the machine gun and the searchlight is asleep, and they ride to the wall. However the tower guard startles awake and looks down, but a rider uses his pole to vault the wall while his camel's still running, crashing straight into the shocked and confused guard. They start fighting in the tower, kicking up dust, and the other rider quickly vaults up, and a previously unseen third rider immediately after him. The fight continues for a while until the riders run down the stairs, leaving the guard bound and gagged, struggling to get free or make noise.

In the cell Shallaman is lying down on the top bunk, while Kell says that if somebody is coming to rescue the prince, there's no guarantee that they can get away. Alfred tells him he's right but at least they can get out of the jail, while Stoppel says he wants to get back to Sunshine because he's worried about his crew. Alfred tells him that it's just not possible, since the ship has been impounded and there are guards everywhere.

Meanwhile the jailer is reading a newspaper when the three riders barge in, and he turns to look. Wielding guns, they corner him at his desk and he asks what do they want. The rider with the beard tells him to be quiet, ordering the jailer to give him the key to the cell where the young man they caught yesterday is held. The jailer muses about the young man and looks at the riders, while the bearder rider yells at him to give the key. The jailer guesses they're from Salem but the bearded one demands the key again, and the jailer asks if they're there for the other three. The bearded rider doesn't recognize the mention of the other three, and the jailer says the young man is just a common thief. The bearded rider gives him two seconds for the key and the jailer hands it over, telling him to take it easy. The rider orders him to show them the way, and they run there while the tower guard is struggling in his bonds.

In the cell everybody is on bunks, and raises their heads when the jailer and the riders arrive. One of the other riders opens the door while the bearded guard calls Shallaman by the name, and when Shallaman says he knew they'd come soon tells him they have little time and must leave quickly. Shallaman runs to the door while the others are still in their bunks, and turns back to tell them to hurry. When they exit the cell the jailer complains, saying that they said they only wanted the young man. Shallaman tells him not to worry, they're leaving one behind. The jailer is confused and then one of the riders shoves him into the cell, locking it. The jailer protests loudly, asking f they know what they're doing and telling them they're making a giant mistake. The mustached rider tells Shallaman to hurry and they all run off, but the jailer hears him calling Shallaman "your highness" and realizes the young man must be the prince of Salem. The jailer starts yelling that the prince ofSalem is getting away, while they run through the prison.

In the tower, the guard gets his feet free and jumps down the stairs, still bound around the knees. When he gets down he notices Shallaman, Stoppel, Alfred, Kell, and the three rifle-wielding riders running straight at him. He flees back up, but the group rushes the stairs after him. There's a crash in the tower and rope ladder are tossed down. Everybody leaves, the last one being the rider who tied the tower guard up again, adding a third rope to his legs.

They ride through the desert with the camels, Shallaman on one, and Stoppel and Alfred sharing a camel. They approach a rock formation, and the rider next to Shallaman says this is the place. Shallaman thanks him while the rider says "they" aren't there yet, and Shallaman says he hopes everything is going to be all right. They stop at the foot of the formation and one of the riders jumps on the cliff while his camel is still moving. Shallaman asks the other two if his father knows he has been held prisoner in Yil, and one rider says he does. Shallaman asks if they told him and the rider apologises, saying that his father was so angry that he didn't attend the rehearsal for his coming-of-age ceremony. The rider says he had to tell, and Shallaman calmly says he guesses he had to know.

The rider on the rock formation suddendly calls out, nsaying that there's another group of commandos coming now. Shallaman and the riders turn, and Shallaman says they should be his men. The commandos emergence from behind a dune on five camels while Alfred, Stoppel, and Kell watch, Kell on Stoppel's shoulder. Alfred asks a rider if they're from Salem and the rider tells him they're a special task force sent to capture princess Budor of Yil, and Alfred is shocked while Stoppel and Kell turn to look. The rider says it looks like they succeeded, and Alfred also turns. The commandos, wearing the same clothes as the riders, surround a hijab-wearing female goat.

They ride up and the group's leaderjumps off the saddle in front of Shallaman, presenting princess Budor to him. Shallaman rides up to her and is happy to see her again, but she looks away. She says he used force and asks if this is how things are done in Salem. He tells her he had to because he visited Yil to see her, and was nearly executed. Budor looks at him in worry while he says he's sorry for the way it was done, but it seemed like the only solution. She closes her eyes and says he's right, and tells him they'll never be able to see each other when she's back in Yil, because her father will keep her where Shallaman will never find her. Alfred, Stoppel, Kell, and the riders stare while Shallaman tells her to come to Salem with him. Budor protests that her father would kill him, but Shallaman tells her they love each other so much that not even death could separate them any longer. Budor looks at him.

Next day in the Salem capital, Alfred, Stoppel, and Kell are in the palace with Shallaman and Budor. King of Salem paces and says that they're in big trouble, the king of Yil is short-tempered and he doesn't know what he might do. Shallaman tells him he'll never give up Budor no matter what, but the king of Salem asks what if it comes to war. Shallaman is shocked and the king of Salem tells him that the king of Yil isn't going to stand aside when his daughter has been kidnapped. He's sure Yil will declare war, but Budor politely interrupts and tells the king of Salem that there's a way to avoid war. She tells the king of Salem can threaten to kill her if the king of Yil if he tries to fight against him, but Shallaman protests. She says that her father loves her so much there's no way he would allow her to die, and the king of Salem resumes his pacing, saying that it could be true, since the king of Yil loves her as much as he loves Shallaman. He'd be helpless but what are they going to do then, what should they do? The king of Yil wouldn't be able to fight the king of Salem then, if he wants to see his daughter again. Shallaman tells him they're really in love with each other, and he won't marry anybody else but Budor. The king of Salem tells him to not try to hurry, and that he must be patient. He then tells Budor to say for a while, and that Shallaman's coming-of-age ceremony will be held tomorrow.

The king of Salem then walks over to Alfred, Stoppel, and Kell who bow, calling them friends and apologising for their personal trouble. He tells them Shallaman said he felt very safe in the jail because they were there with him, and Stoppel says they were lucky too, they escaped certain death just because Shallaman was with them. The king of Salem then turns to professor Kell and says there are some problems he'd like to consult him about, if Kell can see him after the ceremony. However they need to solve his son's problem first, and Kell says he's afraid it's very difficult. The king of Salem tells Alfred he and Shallaman are about the same age, and hopes they can become good friends. Alfred agrees.

In Yil the king breaks a water pot on the floor, terrifying a servant. The king of Yil angrily asks what are they all doing about it, and tells the servant to get his daughter back this instant. The servant swears they'll do it right away, while the king of Yil anguishes over Budor, thinking that she must be spending a lonely night in jail with nothing to eat. The servant is still there and trembles when the king of Yil collapses on a large pillow crying. The servant approaches him carefully and tells him to not fall into despair, promising to bring her back safe and sound, but he jumps up and grabs the servant. The king of Yil shakes him furiously, asking why he's still standing there and why isn't he going already, and the servant swears he'll go right away.

The king of Yil also orders the assassination of prince Shallaman, and the servant says he'll attend to it and they will be there at his party. The king of Yil declares he'll make the king of Salem exprerience what it feels like to lose your child.

Next day in Salem Shallaman's ceremony has started, and somebody calls silence for him. The king of Salem is sitting at the end of a carpet with other goats behind him, while the audience consisting of foreigners sits on pillows on either side of the hall, Alfred, Stoppel, and Kell at the front. Dressed in ceremony clothes, Shallaman walks on the carpet towards the king, through the large and rectangular empty space with goats sitting along the way. The ceremony is happening in the courtyard and the two rows of animals are under canvas roofs. He walks slowly and with nothing happening, until the last sitting goat stands up and draws his sword. Shallaman parries his blows with the dagger from his belt while the foreign audience stares in shock and confusion. After a few blows Shallaman and the goat both sheathe their weapons, and the goat bows as he walks past. However another goat who was stading along the way with a battleaxe attacks as Shallaman passes, and they parry again until this goat too bows. Shallaman sheathes his dagger andfinally walks up to the king of Salem, kneeling before him. The king of Salem then stands up and declares Shallaman as his successor, saying that he will be the king of Salem after his death and telling him to rise. Shallaman stands up and the king of Salem tells him to go out and let the people bless him as their next king. He walks down to stand next to him and raises Shallaman's hand, and the audience cheers while the soldiers fire into the air, while Budor watches him admiringly In the finnish dub the king of Salem tells Shallaman that today he has reached the right to be his successor, and will rule the country after his death. He tells Shallaman to rise and after he does, the king of Salem tells his subjects to greet the future king, and then goes to raise Shallaman's hand.

A row of large snakes starts dancing forward and back and music starts playing, while an armed guard keeps an eye on the entering food servers. The food is laid out on the floor and people turn to talk to each other, the king of Salem with Shallaman and Budor. He tells Shallaman that he had already picked some candidates to be a bride, but all his efforts were in vain as he seems to have made his choice. Shallaman smiles.

At his own place with Stoppel and Kell, and comments that it seems like the king of Salem likes Budor. Stoppel says it's good news, but he wonders what the king of Yil thinks. Kell says that there has been absolutely no reaction from him at all yet and Alfred asks if there's really been nothing, asking if that means he has rejected her. Kell tells Alfred he can't do that, because Budor is the only successor to his throne.

The guard is still watching both the crowd and the people who are bringing in more food. The one who's carrying a fruit basket has a dagger under his belt and gets past the guard, but then the guard notices something is up and calls after him. He keeps walking and the guard runs after him and grabs him, asking where he thinks he's going and who is he. He suddendly throws the ceramic basket in the guard's face, causing him to fall over, and the whole crowd turns to stare with their mouths open. He then draws his dagger and charges at Shallaman, roaring and running over food plates. Shallaman tells Budor to stay behind him, and steps in front of her to shield her with his body. The assassin gets through the crowd and Alfred yells out Shallaman's name. The assassin leaps at Shallaman yelling that he's going to die now, but Budor gets up and hits the assassin in the arm, causing the dagger to fly into the foodstuffs. The assassin looks up at her cursing her and Shallaman gets in front of her again, telling her to be careful. The assassin is shocked to recognize Budor and Shallaman tells him to get out of there and the assassin runs out without anybody stopping him. The king of Salam asks Shallaman if he's hurt and he says he's alright thanks to Budor, telling her that if it wasn't for her he'd be dead now. The king of Salem says he was surprised, and thanks Budor for saving his son's life.

In Yil, the king hears the news and asks his servant if it's true that Budor was at Shallaman's banquet. The servant tells him he heard she was talking happily to the prince, but the king of Yil says it must be somebody else because she's in jail. The servant tells him that even more surprisingly, when one of his subordinates tried to kill Shallaman with a dagger, Budor stopped him in his tracks. The king of Yil curses that he shouldn't have let her learn the art of karate, and injures his own palm by hitting it. The servant fearfully asks if that means it really was Budor, and then screams as the king of Yil grabs him by the collar, furiously telling him to get ready for war right away and saying that it's going to be a fight to the death. The servant protests that his daughter is still being held hostage, but the king of Yil throws him away asking what about it, who cares. He says that his daughter has sided with Salem so they have no reason to kill her. The servant says that he's calculating this to be the thirtiest declaration of war, and then runs away. The king of Yil jumps in anger, yelling that he'll kill everyone in Salem, all of thwm, the king and his son, they all have to die. He curses them, hitting and kicking the curtain. He calls Budor a traitor and yells that he'll kill her, about to smash a vase with his fist. However he falters and hugs the vase, crying on the floor.

Shortly, the war is on. The soldiers of Salem lie down on a hill and take rifle shots at Yil soldiers, who are shooting at them with rifles, machine guns, and artillery. A tank formation rolls forwards with explosions in the ground around them, shooting back at the unseen enemy. A long row of Salem soldiers fires their grenade launchers at once. Salem's artillery cannons are fired and the Yil cannons answer to the fire. One of the artillery cannons is aimed so low it's own weight causes it to collapse, breaking it's muzzle. Giant formations of bomber planes rain down bombs that raise a large cloud of dust. Modern-looking fighter planes fly forward, shooting at the bombers and sending a few of them falling down in flames. The unrealistically large fighter plane formations fly straight at each other, shooting all the way and sending many falling as the same battle appears to go on for the entire day and nights. The sky is lighted by bomb explosions above the still fighting planes. At night there's as explosion on the ground, creating a large shockwave and a dome of fire.

Shallaman walks through the resulting ruins and dust, calling it insanity. He tells Alfred the death toll is enormous, and that they must end the war. Alfred agrees, but asks how. Shallaman turns to him, and says he will take Budor back to Yil, to her father. Alfred protests that the king of Yil will kill them both, but Shallaman says that he knows the king of Salem also wants to end the war. Shallaman tells Alfred that he'll do anything to end the war, and tells Alfred he thinks his help would be useful, asking him to go with him and Budor. Alfred says he also wants to end the war, and will come.

In the night, Shallaman, Budor, and Alfred travel through the desert on three camels. Alfred is wearing a black veil that's either a niqab or a burqa, and Shallaman tells him he's sorry he has to wear it, but it's necessary. Alfred lifts it off, angrily complaining that he feels silly and he'll never tell winnie about this. Budor asks who Winnie is, causing him to get flustered and put the veil back on, insisting that she's just a friend. Shallaman tells her Winnie is the kind of a friend to Alfred that Budor is to him, and Budor laughs light-heartedly while Alfred pouts under the veil.

Later in daytime, Shallaman and Alfred start walking up a hill with their camels while Budor is still riding, and arrive to Yil's capital. The bazaar is full of people when Shallaman and Budor walk through with their veils on their faces, and Alfred is right behind them. He looks around and not where he's going and collides with a random guy, quickly apologising and running off. They see the crowds near a gated area and Budor tells Shallaman they're almost there, and they need to go in through the gate ahead. Shallaman says they need to be careful, and when they approach he gate the soldiers guarding it stop them. One asks where they're going and Budor reveals her face and announces her identity, startling the soldiers. However the soldiers orders them arrested, shocking Budor, and the other soldier says he wishes they like brick walls. Shallaman wishes him likewise and shoves him into the wall, and they run in. The other soldier runs after them but Alfred jumps on his back, evading his hands and tying his veil over the guard's head. Alfred then runs from the blinded and confused soldier and follows Shallaman and Budor down an alley. The soldier tries to chase after them, but can't see anything.

Shallaman and Budor are already fighting off a group of other people, while Alfred fights two uniformed soldiers and three other people all at once, alternately restrained or winning. A dense crowd watches and recognizes Budor, while the gate guards run over making way for the king of Yil and the attacks stop. He's angry, telling Budor that she has done something unforgivable and asking if she knows that. She pleads him to listen to Shallaman because he wants to ask something. The king of Yil says he doesn't want to hear anything "that wicked kidnapper" has to say, and orders her to come to him. Shallaman tells him he has come back to return her safely but the king of Yil tells him to be quiet, telling him that now that he has his daughter back, Shallaman will be at his mercy. Budor protests but Shallaman says he'd happily give up his life to him, if only his wishes could be fulfilled. The king of Yil says he's never heard something so outrageous and that he's got nerve. Alfred scowls in anger as Budor pleads, and the king of Yil agrees to grant Shallaman one wish before taking his life. Shallaman asks to be permitted to marry Budor before her execution and the king of Yil is shocked. The crowd murmurs and thinks he's mad, and Shallaman says he really loves her. The king of Yil asks if he's crazy, orders him jailed, and tells Budor to come over. However she grabs onto Shallaman's arm and tells her father that she'll go to jail too, shocking him, and continues that if Shallaman is executed she will die too. The king of Yil is angry but she says that she loves Shallaman, and they will marry. The king of Yil collapses but is caught by servants, while the crowd mutters some more and wonders what's going on. The king of Yil gets up and tells Budor Yil has always been at war with Salem, but Shallaman tells him that this is the chance to stop it for good. He explains that Salem and Yil used to be a single, and their marriage can be the bond which brings the two countries back together. Budor says that the idea is perfectly good but the king of Yil calls it nonsense and says their countries have different customs and religions, and will always-- Alfred interrupts him and tells him he's absolutely wrong, causing the entire crowd to quiet and stare. Alfred explains they actually believe in the same religion, and there is just a few ideas and ceremonies they both observe but have different words for, and honestly that's all that keeps them apart. The crowd gets excited when they hear this and Shallaman suggests to the king of Yil that they join Yil and Salem back into one, name it Yilsalem after the holy city, and make the holy city their new capital. The crowd starts talking to each other and the king of Yil, looking defeated, says that it sounds good. Shallaman, Budor, and Alfred smile while the entire crowd starts cheering "Yilsalem!".

Later on, Sunshine is on the sea going back home. Alfred looks back at Yil from the ship's back and Stoppel walks up to him, saying that it's a perfect day for a voyage. Alfred says it's also a perfect day for congratulations, and Stoppel asks what for. Alfred tells him he's got Sunshine back now, and he wants to congratulate him. Alfred says the king was kind and understanding and Stoppel says they've agreed to a ceasefire, once the engagement between Shallaman and Budor was approved. Alfred says he hopes the two countries can now unite and live in peace, and Stoppel comments he'll be soon reunited with Winnie. Alfred protests he didn't even mention her, but Stoppel laughs and says his face tells him everything, and Alfred pouts.

The professor's name in the english dub is complete gibberish to me and i'm growing increasingly certain his name isn't actually Kell, but the pronouncation appears to flounder. I'm just going with "Kell" because that was the best guess by an english-speaker i know. If somebody can make it out -or even better, actually understand the original dutch enough to be able to tell which word is the name- please fix it. I also called him "Kell" in the summary of the previous episode.

her and abducted. Love is happy to see her again, but she looks away.

Shallaman is shocked
mutual and the king of Salem tells him that the king of Yil isn't going to stand aside when his daughter has been kidnapped.

The king of
Salam asks Shallaman if he's hurt and he says he's alright thanks to Budor, telling her that if it wasn't for her he'd be dead now. The king of Salem says he was surprised, and thanks Budor for saving his son's life.

In Yil, the king hears the news and asks his servant if it's true that Budor was at Shallaman's banquet. The servant tells him he heard she was talking happily to the prince,
sees little harm in this, but the king of Yil says it must be somebody else because she's in jail.

He looks around and
not where he's going and collides with a random guy, quickly apologising and running off.

Alfred scowls in anger
nearly as Budor pleads, and the king of Yil agrees to grant Shallaman one wish before taking his life.

Yil and Salem are combined into one just like that, and Shallaman and Budor are even allowed to marry. All of this in spite of centuries of religious conflict and a horribly devastating war that was going on at that very moment. The people of Yil even seem happy about the idea of joining together with Salem.

MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Shallaman's reaction to the war.
* AdultFear: WarIsHell: None of the scenes in the war sequence actually show anybody dying, but they get the message across and Shallaman calls the death toll enormous. In the scene immediately after where he talks to Alfred, a city has been bombed to hell and we see three Salem soldiers sitting in the ruins. The soldier on the left has no visible injuries (though only his head is visible), but seems to be done psychologically. The soldier in the middle has his arm in a sling and at least one leg bandaged (something could be missing, the entire foot isn't seen and the other leg is hidden by a wall piece), and either something has happened to his eyes or he's just squeezing them shut. The soldier on the right also has his arm in a sling and he's looking up with the entire top of his head bandaged, very possibly a victim of EyeScream.
* ArtisticLicenseMilitary: The armada of bombers in the war scenes look like passenger planes, with their tiny and numerous windows in the sides. They presumably aren't because there's so many of them at once and they're in the middle of military action.
* BadBoss: The king of Yil is constantly manhandling his servant in anger about Budor's abduction/betrayal.
* BystanderSyndrome: Everybody sits in place and stares in shock as an Yil assassin tries to stab prince Shallaman. The assassin even manages to escape the scene of the failed attempt without anybody lifting a finger.
* ConspiciouslyPublicAssassination: Stabbing in the middle of a large crowd (maybe over a hundred people) during a party.
* AssassinationAttempt: The king of Yil sends an assassin to kill prince Shallaman, but he fails.
* DarkIsEvil: The Yil assassin at Shallaman's ceremony has darker colored fur than any other goats present.
* AsYouKnow: As Shallaman knows, his father had already been loooking for wife candidates for him.
* FreezeFrameBonus: About halfway through the episode, at the beginning of Shallaman's ceremony, the shot of Alfred, Stoppel, and Kell shows what appears to be K. Rokodil sitting behind them.

!! Continues from De Ontvoering (An Invitation From The Prince)

!! Tropes:
* WarIsHell:
* AdultFear: The king of Salem when he learned Shallaman had been arrested in Yil, and the king of Yil when he learns Budor has been kidnapped and is being held hostage in Salem. The latter reaction is shown on-screen.
* MissingMom: There's no sign or mention of neither Shallaman's nor Budor's mother.
* VagueAge: The king of Salem says that Alfred is about the same age with Shallaman, who's just now having his coming-of-age ceremony. It's unknown what age the ceremony is held at, but it again calls to the question just how young Alfred actually is, and in relation to that how old are other characters like Dolf and Ollie who are about Alfred's age.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Princess Budor is dressd entirely in pink.
* BoundAndGagged: The tower guard.
* BigBallOfViolence: When Shallaman's bodyguards fight a prison guard in the guard tower.
* SecretKeeper: Given that Shallaman had two bodyguards with him when he entered Yil (and propably also had one in Yilsalem), at least two people must have been privy to his and Budor's relationship and kept quiet about it.
* In the scene where the third rider is climbing the rock formation, the two other two riders are shown sitting at separate saddles holding separate ropes, but there's only one camel head. There's also the fact that they only had four camels and three of them are being ridden by the others.
* TheCavalry: Prince Shallaman's bodyguards break him out of prison and allow Alfred, Stoppel, and professor Kell to tag along.
* DubNameChange:
** Princess Budor is named Mirha in the finnish dub.
** Yilsalem is called Jalla-Salam in the finnish dub (but is still a combo of the finnish names of Yil and Salem).
* ShotAtDawn: The head guard intends to do this to Alfred, Stoppel, professor Kell, and the disguised prince Shallaman.
* HidingInAHijab: When he and Shallaman take princess Budor to Yil, Alfred disguises himself with a veil that's propably either a niqab or a burqa. Presumably this also serves to hide his species - he's a duck, while the population of both Salem and Yil appears to consist entirely of goats.
* SurprisinglyHappyEnding: The easy with which the centuries-long conflict is solved stretches believability. Yil and Salem are combined into one just like that, and Shallaman and Budor are even allowed to marry.
* ThroatSlittingGesture: The jailer does a blink-and-miss one after he has revealed he's the prison commander, and telling Stoppel they will be executed quickly.
