That's not how tropes are suppose to work. If it's a trope, it needs to follow the formatting on the page. We don't just list random occurrences and call it a "TV Trope".

————————————————————————————————

Tropes exclusive to the podcast.

In this section you can add anything mentioned often enough in the podcast that it’s a running joke or trope for the podcast even if it’s not a typical “TV trope.”

Great Halloween costume: Will and Lucas are often seen pointing out different special fits Arthur characters wear in episodes and saying they’d make great Halloween costumes.

Spanky: Will and Lucas sometimes bring up their hatred (mostly Will’s hatred.) for Dw’s season one pet Spanky seen in the Arthur episode “so Long Spanky.” Spanky was first introduced on Elwood city limits in the 13th episode titled “drastic action!” Where Will rages (in good nature.) about how stupid and pointless Spanky's death was because he was only introduced in this episode so he could die and is a literal throw away character. His rage includes censored swears. Toady is also introduced in this episode and joked about basically being a throw away character of the week. However the plot thickens when in episode 96 “a loaded but also.” Will and Lucas discuss the episode, “The Great Sock Mystery!” Where Lucas is flabbergasted to find Toady has returned and debunks him as a throw away character of the week, basically saying if Toady can come back anything is possible in Arthur!

Dw Defender: whenever the Podcast reviews a DW centered episode Lucas is usually seen saying that he is a DW defender (with Will also agreeing with him, though Lucas coined the term DW Defender.) meaning unlike most fans of Arthur Will and Lucas don’t find Dw’s antics annoying. The most notable exception to this is seen in episode 96 “a loaded But also.” Where they review the Arthur Episode “Cast away.” Where Lucas mentions he’s usually a DW defender but in “Cast away.” Dw was just too annoying for both Will and Lucas to take.

Binky being the goat: whenever the Podcast tackle’s a Binky episode they always make sure to mention how he’s the best character. Often when they do their top five episodes of the season, a binky centric episode makes it on there just because of how good he is. Notable binky highlight episodes for the podcast include: Episode 89 Piston (With Alex Moore!), episode 82: Repair Goat, episode 81: This means war, episode 72: Buster Lookin Like a Snacc, episode 58: Binky Told my joke, episode 56: Binky Garbage, and episode 99: Dandy Lion.

Other characters Will and Lucas hold in high regards are Fern, (Wills personal favorite character as revealed in episode 45: Sehpixsteh) Mr. Haney, Mr Ratburn, the tough customer gang, Gorge, and Nemo who instantly became Lucas’ favorite character after Binky in episode 88: Moaning Myrtle is Gawrsh. And non-speaking Pal who is another of Will’s favorite characters.

Disliked characters: there are a number of characters Lucas and Will dislike. The biggest one being Muffy who is constantly mentioned by Will and Lucas to be a one note rich character who never breaks her stereotype or grows like the other Arthur characters. Will brings up ways he’d like to see her character be improved in ECL Mailbag #1, and we see them actually enjoy her character in episode 97: Floor Nuts.

They also initially disliked Prunella’s character but since the episode 88: Moaning Myrtle is Gawrsh. they have begun to admit Prunella is going through a redemptive arc and becoming a good character.(unlike Muffy.)

Arthur’s cousin Cora is very hated in episode 25: The Cerebro of Trash where they discuss the episode featuring her only appearance in the show.

And throughout season 1 Will mentions his disdain for Miss Fink the “fun” 3rd Grade teacher in Arthur. He mentions not liking her because she teaches her kids absolutely nothing! Often in later episodes Lucas can be seen jokingly mentioning Miss Fink by asking Will “what’s the name of that teacher character you hated so much?”

The Blizzard: The Arthur episode “The Blizzard.” Is often mentioned on the podcast as being Lucas’ favorite episode of Arthur. In the Podcast episode 70: Honeywallet. They finally discuss that episode to Lucas’ joy.

When are we getting to Flash episodes: often on the show, usually when Fans email in to reference newer episodes, Will and Lucas will question what season their going to start to see Arthur shift over to flash. the first ECL Flashforward episode Mr. Ratburn and the Special Somoene, marks the first time the podcast reviewed a flash animated episode of Arthur.

Referencing wrestling: Will and Lucas throughout the first three seasons of Arthur and the podcast made many references to wrestling. Often going on huge tangents about their predictions for wrestle mania and their favorite wrestlers. Their constant references to wrestling have died down a bit since season four, however when the chance arises they’ll still make minor note of wrestling, restraining themself from going on full on tangents. Notable wrestling episodes on the show include episode 20: Watch Wrestling all Day. Episode 44: A Word From Us Kids (Feat. Jordon Taylor!), and Episode 47: IWanThatGame

Referencing sports: often in the podcast Lucas can be seen going on many tangents about sports and and who he thinks will win various sports seasons.

Referencing to their childhood: Will and Lucas often make references to things from their childhood, including: Pogs, Arthur, Beyblades, Pokemon, Nintendo NES, Rugrats, Gameboys, stickin’ around and more. The most notable episodes on the show where they discuss things from their childhood include: episode 57: Cakecrawler, and episode 95: Tunaroni

Stickin’ around: It’s a running joke that Lucas will sometimes mention how as a kid he thought Arthur and Stickin’ around were in the same universe due to Arthur and Bradley looking so similar.

Good Joke alert: In episode 66 Authoritarian Librarian Lucas and Will Discuss how Arthur has a lot of really good Simpsons style jokes in it, and finally implement the running gag of “good joke” into the podcast. Whenever Will and Lucas find or point out an exceptionally clever joke they find in the Arthur episodes from this point forward they call it a “good joke.” And a little sound effect of Will going “aha.” Plays in fanfare of this clever joke.

Meme alert: starting in episode 3: Dino Crime they implement the meme alert. Whenever Will and Lucas find an Arthur internet meme in the episode they’re reviewing they’ll point it out by saying “meme alert.” Followed by a soft stock sound of an alarm.

Movie references: Will and Lucas often compare scenes from Arthur to various famous movies. Their most notable movie comparisons include Ferris Bueller when throughout season one and two they’d compare Arthur in the opening scenes to the movie saying Arthur was “Ferris Burllering.” In the opening. Their second most popular movie reference was to David Lynch. When they’d often call many dream sequences in Arthur Lynchiant. They also referenced to the room destroying scene from Citizen Kane which Lucas found hilarious.
