* Eccentric doctor who has a history of behaving ungratefully towards his mother and neglectfully towards his wife, preferring his work to either of them. Takes no notice whatsoever when several of the nurses at his clinic go missing, one after the other. Tortures his wife to death ForScience, alienating his best friend in the process. Spends the rest of the series attempting to commit genocide, along the way inciting an angry mob to help him. Said angry mob's first act is to kill a woman who'd flirted with him, something he fully planned and intended to happen. When his erstwhile best friend [[WhatTheHellHero tries to call him out on all this]], his response is to try to kill said former friend, and also have his entire family and household killed. His actions either directly or indirectly result in his village being burned to the ground, not to mention the slaughter of countless people, many of them innocent. One of these recruits was a young boy earlier only known for getting expelled from every school he ever went to for delinquency. However after joining the cult he went from a delinquent to a full-blown domestic terrorist. He (in no particular order) carried out a bombing on a civilian cruise ship filled with children, decapitated a rape victim,[[labelnote:*]](Yes, I know [[spoiler:Medusa isn't a rape victim in either the Riordan canon ''or'' the original Greek myths]], but that's why this is called "'''Paint''' the Hero Black")[[/labelnote]] got into a gunfight at age ''12'', found a way to trigger a volcanic eruption, and led armies of ChildSoldiers. When he got older, his list of crimes only got worse. He tortured a woman with (I shit you not) ''poison and tears'', and he manipulated an amnesiac into killing his brother. In his personal life he's not much better; he's bigoted towards his mentally challenged half-brother, and threatened to throw his impovrished cousin off the Empire State Building. * A self-described [[CardCarryingVillain "one of the bad guys"]] who shamelessly admits his plan to use parasitic mind-control bugs (which ''fuse themselves to peoples nervous systems'') on countless innocent civillians so he can re-establish a defunct monarchy with himself at the helm. He comes from a BigScrewedUpFamily that pledged itself to the setting's BigBad, though he's an ambitious BigBadWannabe who backstabs, schmemes, and lies his way to the top of the villainous hierarchy. He tricked a young girl into trusting him while constantly showing contempt for her ''true'' love-interest. To add, he's a snobbish EvilReactionary aristocrat who wants to overthrow the greatest force of world peace in history ''just'' because it's leader doesn't play the nobility's petty games of succession.

Still, she often brags about being a CardCarryingVillain and in her megalomania she has tried to make whole cities bow to her feet. She's impulsive, and her NightmareFetishist tendencies have led her to endanger her friends by letting obviously dangerous creatures run wild. Every place she's been has been thrown in chaos by her actions either directly or indirectly. The best part? All of this is ''without'' mentioning her even eviler split-personality that takes control at random times. When he inherits his father's estate, he immediately squanders it and uses what he didn't waste on fueling his obsession, such as building giant statues of the girl all over the place. However in all fairness he ''does'' have a life outside grooming teens; he has repeatedly tried (and failed) to kill a heroic GentlemanAdventurer beloved by the common folk, and once powerful enough he creates electric death machines and threatens foreigners with boiling their countrymen. In other words, minus the death machines, he's a Discord moderator. Oh, did I mention that in his first appearance, he kills a university professor? Although she scolds him for keeping secrets from her, at exactly the same time she has been keeping a secret from him that has endangered both him and his family.
