* The sequence in the bowls club, for basically being a rapid-fire version of 'The Thing', as you suddenly realise any one of your friends could be an imposter... and they're thinking the same about you, and they're forced to dredge up memories of gruesome injuries and horrible accidents to prove they're really who they say they are

* There's a scene where Oliver runs to the washroom, but once he returns he's ''different'', audiences can sudtly tell that he's ''one of them''. This makes all scenes with him quite creepy, as the characters don't seem to notice anything wrong.

* The Blanks themselves. Especially the siren sounds they make - and ''especially'' the motorcycle policeman's wail, which sounds exactly like a police siren.
** Bonus points for the one walking around with ''the top half of his head shattered off like a broken lamp''.
*** Becomes NightmareRetardant in the denouement, when it's showed what he did to fill in the empty spot: he stuck a football in it and drew eyes on.
* The group go through a lengthy fight in one pub, smashing up an entire bar full of blanks...and then immediately after, a crowd of the exact same blanks casually enter the bar. Their numbers are scarily vast.
* The "Modern Art" statue - after it comes to life.

* Also a moment during the ActingUnnatural-montage, when the guys enter the Good Companions, Andy stays behind for a moment to look around, and ''everybody'' in the street is standing completely still and staring at him.

Fridge Horror goes on the Fridge page, not Nightmare Fuel pages.

* After the Network agrees to leave mankind alone, it triggers an Electromagnetic Pulse that destroys all of Earth's technology, causing a ''[[UpToEleven worldwide Blackout]]''. [[FridgeHorror Imagine all the airliners, public trains and even cars all crashing because of the sudden disappearance of electricity...]] ''and with no way of calling for help.''

No speculation on Nightmare Fuel pages.

* The Network "recycled" the Empties by turning them into compost. Begs the question, were they still conscious when they were mulched?
** The Network seems to transfer the consciousness to the Blanks, hence the term "empties". This explains why some volunteer for the process.
*** Well, as long as you don't know enough about how consciousness works that doesn't sound too nightmarish.

* The people who become Blanks include teenagers, and are strongly implied to include younger children as well. 2,000 Penetration Points adds up to a lot of children whose parents are replaced by Blanks... or who are converted themselves. What's in the pushchair being pushed by the woman the gang pass on their way into town, and who keeps showing up as the film progresses?

** It can be frightening for the audience primarily because it's unexpected from Creator/SimonPegg, but because there are people like this in real life and may make younger fans who came to watch the latest of the Film/BloodAndIceCreamTrilogy scared of ending up like this.
