* Seeing from his perspective is pretty unnerving. Also counts as a TearJerker, considering both the event and what happened just before.

** There's also something pretty disturbing about Sauron in this sequence. This is a literal angel. A creature of pure beauty and benevolence. A perfect creature at the time of its creation. He's able to do so many wonderful and joyous things. He is able to create wonders beyond your imagining. He once served the great smith in the sky... And here he is, desecrating the tool of his trade using it for murder over a petty power struggle. How low the mighty have fallen. Doubles as a Tearjerker.

Wrong one, my mistake.

** One the more disturbing and grosser examples come from the uruks with nicknames that involve maggots (lord of the maggots, maggot-nest, and of the maggots). Some of these uruks are convinced they have been chosen by the maggots to act on their will. When in reality, they are suffering from flystrike, a painful and oftentimes fatal disease where flies lay eggs in a host that grow into maggots which then eat the host's flesh. These uruks complain about the pain they are enduring and wish to pass their pain on by killing Talion.

** During Talion's duel with the Tower in there, aside from the Tower taunting him from the shadows, the voices of his wife and son can be heard taunting him ILetGwenStacyDie for failing to save them. The things Dirhael says to his father are particularly cruel and spiteful as the Tower tries to break Talion's will to fight.
-->Dirhael: You taught me to fight, only to watch me die...I renounce you as my father...Mother cries tears of joy, because we are free of you!
** Ioreth also gets a creepy moment; during the battle, she can be heard telling Talion "We will be together again. Soon. Forever" Sounds romantic? Think again. The inflection that Creator/LauraBailey places on the word "Forever" makes it sound like that reunion would be less joyful and more nightmarical.

Removing This Troper.

** An Uruk's motives for running away from Talion are rightfully understandable. This troper was going to a branded captain's duel with a rival Uruk when he came upon another of his branded captains, vomiting uncontrollably, rambling about how he "saw the groveling" and "heard the whispering" and begged that "the filth" would not touch him anymore. The effect of branding is truly a terrible force to be reckoned with that no man, monster or beast should have to endure.

**The Tower in general is a dose of nightmare fuel: The BodyHorror on him is taken UpToEleven, and when you enter his stronghold he makes the corpses turn to look at you. You look at his throne, see it's empty- then the camera pans around, and suddenly he's there again. The guy is just a walking nightmare.

Those are the copies of The Tower, who are present only for mechanical reasons.

** And if you slip into the Wraith World when the Tower hasn't spawned in? You will see things. Shapes at the edge of vision, red forms like men or Uruks but thin, amorphous, charging in the distance towards you but never growing closer. Something is in Ered Glamhoth, something mortal eyes cannot see... much like how later, Legolas would describe seeing shapes of men/horses, along with the dead soldiers that killed them, in the Paths of the Dead; a pretty chilling CallForward.
