** It becomes even worse when we see the Pre-War world. The game starts on the day the bombs fall, and instead of being what you'd expect, with people cowering in fear and expecting the bombs to come at any moment, it's just... a day. If it wasn't for the news report, you'd never even know there was the threat of nuclear war. And then it happens, and that world is lost forever...

* There needs to be some special mention of the new redesign of the [[BearsAreBadNews Yao Guai]]. Introduced in Fallout 3, these were essentially mutated, and possibly ''ghoulified'' black bears. Although being absolutely ''terrifying'' looking, they didn't really scream 'bear' so much. Fallout 4 is correcting this in [[RealityEnsues the worst way possible]] by making them very realistic looking bears. That are giant. ''And mutant'' [[http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/2/27/Fo4_Yao_Guai_E3_PreRelSs.png/revision/latest?cb=20150615133220]]

* [[KillerRobot The Synth enemies]]. Remember how terryfying Feral Ghouls are? Now imagine they're robots. [[FromBadToWorse In combat armor]]. Yeah.

* One from the E3 Demo that's easily overlooked, but [[RobotBuddy Codsworth's]] voice when he calls over the player character to see the news reports about the bombs starting to fall. He's a robot programmed to be an upbeat, cheerful butler, but in that moment there's a note of panic and sheer ''terror'' in his voice...
-->''"Sir? Ma'am? [[OhCrap You should come and see this!!]]"''

* Even Raiders seem buffed compared to their last gen counterparts- one of the 'Veteran' class raiders even had his own bloody suit of ''power armor.''

** Magnificently, and somewhat odds-defyingly, they've managed to make Deathclaws ''even worse''. Deathclaws were the definition of LightningBruiser in Fallout 1 and 2, having huge movement and dealing tremendous damage, in addition to taking absurd amounts of firepower to kill. Fallout 3 and 4 lowered this quality a bit, mostly due to the stiffness of their running animations; they were still fairly fast, but they ran like their legs were on a different animation loop than their static bodies. The Deathclaw in the E3 gameplay reveal, however, is not only treated as a proper BossFight, with its own intro of bursting out of the ground, allies helping the player fight it, and the general size and power of the thing- but its animation is ''slick''. It ''dodges'' at one point, juking sideways like the sucker's on rollerskates. Deathclaws have reclaimed their place as the premier threats of Fallout, fast as the death they bring.

** As if that wasn't enough look at the background behind the Deathclaw... it looks almost like it was pulled straight out of [[FalloutNewVegas The Divide.]] Just imagine what it would be like to see something similar to the Marked Men or Tunnelers on a next gen system... or don't if you want to get some sleep tonight. Suddenly, the [[ThatOneLevel Courier's Mile]] doesn't sound quite so bad...

* The civilians running for the entrance to the underground vault, only to find it sealed, and they turn and watch as a bomb falls and the shockwave comes for them. Let's hope that they all died in that shockwave, or else they better get used to their new looks and living forever to see how horrifying the word ''Wasteland'' can be...

** Even worse, the E3 demo depicts some of the new dynamic actions the game's engine is capable of. Namely, we get to see the Deathclaw grab the Vault Dweller and lift him overhead head, ''from the dweller's point of view.''
