** For added creepiness, [[spoiler: Baymax [[NothingIsScarier doesn't utter a single word]] while in "kill mode". And except when yelling the commands, Hiro is eerily calm throughout the whole scene. He's even calm when Baymax is violently throwing [=GoGo=], Fred, and Wasabi around]]. Though the message the movie seemed to be trying to send, is that [[IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim if Hiro had killed]] [[spoiler: Callaghan]], [[IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim he would have become him.]] Willingly turning into the monster he hated so much.

* The accident with Alistair Krei's teleportation machine. The staff ignoring an error, the machine ends up malfunctioning and taking its test subject with it, apparently killing her. * The [[BigBad primary antagonist]], [[MalevolentMaskedMan Yokai]], is NightmareFuel on legs. He's a terrifying, NoNonsenseNemesis who will take ''any'' opportunity to kill those who stand in his way. He's got an intimidating design, he introduces himself by means of an UnflinchingWalk towards Hiro, he dons a nightmarish mask, and best of all, he commands a legion of black flying microbots, which he can bundle into a wave to surf on or attack people. Said swarm of microbots makes a hissing sound, [[AffablyEvil to emphasize that they're, well, evil]].

* Yokai's swarm of microbots is little more than a robotic bundle of pure malevolence, bordering on TheSwarm. For added measure, they occasionally hiss, not too dissimilarily to a snake.

* The fire which claims [[spoiler:Tadashi's ]]life.
** In particular the [[spoiler:final scene of it. All you see is Tadashi's cap, slightly swaying in the breeze, illuminated by fire, with his brother crying out for him in the back. Then it fades to white...]]
** The simple way [[spoiler:Tadashi dies. Burning to death is ''not'' a pleasant way to die. One can only hope that the explosion killed him quickly.]]

* The world within the portal, though beautiful, is this when you think about it. It's literally a void of ''nothing'', just flying debris. [[spoiler:And to think of what happened to Baymax afterwards...]]

If this wasn't a Disney movie, Big Hero 6 could work as a deconstruction of the StartOfDarkness [[PlayingWith/StartOfDarkness story]].
