** Orihime's screams for Ichigo to help her know what to do during the climax of the Lust arc is most likely the biggest NeverLiveItDown moment for Orihime in the entire fandom. SayMyName is a VERY common trope in manga ''as a whole'' and Manga/{{Bleach}} isn't an exception, many other characters have also screamed each other's names at least once per chapter, and Orihime ''only'' took to screaming it repeatedly when she was [[HeroicBSOD having a massive meltdown because of all the physical and psychological trauma inflicted on the poor girl by Aizen and his arrancars]]. However, to a loud part of the fandom, that simply doesn't matter: Orihime can't even mutter Ichigo's name without fandom calling her "whore" and "clingy", whereas everyone else can get away with it.

* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'' has poor, poor Orihime Inoue. You get kidnapped by the Arrancar ONCE, and suddenly, you're the [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Princess Peach]] of anime. Even [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Kairi]] didn't have it this bad. And while captive, she was ''tortured'' and ''abused'' so much, for literally no reason at that, and it only pushed the poor girl past breaking point even more, where she can only cry to the person she loved the most, who had been ''killed'' right in front of her by her captor Ulquiorra just to torture her even more, for help.

** Shampoo once made usage of special mushrooms that made the consumer vulnerable to hypnotic suggestions, and twice tried to take advantage of a piece of love magic that fell into her hands. She didn't even plot the mushroom incident on her own in the manga, where the mushrooms were sent to her restaurant by accident (it was implied to be her idea in the anime, though). Fanfiction portraying her as a villain invariably plays up her as being a kind of "mistress of love potions and mind-controlling poisons". In canon, chemical usage is the specialty of Kodachi Kuno. And even Kodachi sticks with paralysis and sleeping powder.
*** There was also that incident with the memory erasing shampoo (even if it was really pressure points).
*** Also, according to fandom [[MurderTheHypotenuse "Obstacles are for KILLING!"]]. There were only TWO times when she either ''seriously'' said so in front Ranma and/or Akane (her first story, when she grumbles this "excuse" when Ranma begs her not to attack Akane, and during the Phoenix People story, when she actually was under MoreThanMindControl and was ordered to kill Ranma) or thought so (when Taro kidnapped Akane, Shampoo quite obviously intended to kill her and lay the blame on Taro, although she never actually voiced the plan, and she fell victim to a cold water trap that Taro set to keep anyone to approach Akane). The others involved more the [[HonorBeforeReason "I'm an Amazon and you're my love rival, so it can't be helped!"]] gig than trying to murder Akane bloodily [[ForTheEvulz just for shits and giggles]] or to cruelly and venomously spite Ranma for not choosing her.

to:

** Shampoo once made usage [[AnimeChineseGirl Shampoo]] has two things she is particularly infamous for:
*** Firstly, she is heavily associated in fanfiction with the use
of special {{Love Potion}}s and {{Mind Control Device}}s. In fact, she uses a MindControlDevice a grand total of ''once' in canon, when she attempts to dope Ranma with mushrooms that made make the consumer vulnerable to hypnotic suggestions, suggestions in hopes of making him hug her. Though she admittedly doesn't help her case by saying that she ''would'' have used a LovePotion to make Ranma accept her feelings if she had one in the first Akari Unryu story in the manga, and twice tried the anime does imply that she deliberately sought out the hypnotic mushrooms, whereas in the manga they were delivered to the Nekohanten by accident. Then there's her ability to inflict LaserGuidedAmnesia with herbal shampoo, and the manga also gives her "hypnosis pressure points"... As for {{Love Potion}}s, she attempted to steal a bracelet with three LoveAtFirstSight potion pills on it from Happosai in hopes of using it on Ranma, and that was it in the manga; the anime does add a little fuel to the fire by having her buy a literal RedStringOfFate and use it on Ranma, and by having her attempt to take advantage of Ranma unwittingly putting on a piece of love magic bandaid that fell causes him to fall in LoveAtFirstSight with any and every girl he's looking at. Ironically, Shampoo herself has fallen under mind control at least twice in canon, being the victim of a "love to hate" magical brooch in one story and being turned into a mind-controlled slave of the villains in the penultimate arc.
*** Secondly, she's widely considered to be the most murderous of the fiancees; she was introduced trying to kill Ranma to avenge
her hands. dishonor at [[SexShifter "her"]] hands during a martial arts tournament, and declared she was willing to kill Akane to have Ranma to herself in her introductory arc. She didn't even plot compounded this by plotting to kill Akane during the mushroom incident on first Pantyhose Taro story, declaring she must kill Hinako to avenge her own defeat at her hands in the manga, where the mushrooms were sent and attempted to murder Nabiki during her restaurant by accident (it was implied to be her idea stint as Ranma's fiancee in the anime, though). Fanfiction portraying her as a villain invariably plays up her as being a kind of "mistress of love potions and mind-controlling poisons". In canon, chemical usage is the specialty of Kodachi Kuno. And even Kodachi sticks with paralysis and sleeping powder.
*** There was
manga. She also that incident showed up at Ranma & Akane's wedding throwing bombs. Now, this all sounds terrible, but there are some mitigating factors. Firstly, she is ''not'' the only person in the series to show up looking to kill Ranma -- Ryoga Hibiki and Ukyo Kuonji are both introduced with the memory erasing shampoo (even if it was really pressure points).
*** Also, according
same goal. She also ends up going home to fandom [[MurderTheHypotenuse "Obstacles are for KILLING!"]]. There were only TWO times when China because she either ''seriously'' said so in front Ranma and/or Akane (her first story, when she grumbles this "excuse" when Ranma begs her not to attack Akane, and during the Phoenix People story, when she actually was under MoreThanMindControl and was ordered to kill Ranma) or thought so (when Taro kidnapped Akane, Shampoo quite obviously intended to kill her and lay the blame on Taro, although she never actually voiced the plan, and she fell victim to a cold water trap that Taro set to keep anyone to approach Akane). The others involved more the [[HonorBeforeReason "I'm an Amazon and you're my love rival, so it can't be helped!"]] gig than trying bring herself to murder kill Ranma once the truth of his SexShifter curse comes out. Secondly, despite having Akane bloodily [[ForTheEvulz just for shits at her mercy quite early in her introductory arc, she simply gives Akane LaserGuidedAmnesia -- it's not until after Akane shakes that off that she tries to pick a serious fight with her, and giggles]] or to cruelly even then, she stops at Ranma's request. When she went after Akane upon initially finding her in the Pantyhose Taro arc, she botched the job and venomously spite then promptly gave up on trying. Thirdly, in the Hinako incident, she is perfectly willing to declare the feud null and void once Ranma for not choosing her.promises to beat Hinako on her behalf. Finally, as bad as attacking Nabiki and bombing Ranma's wedding were, Ukyo and Kodachi both joined in on those antics too. The one time she sincerely threatened Akane's life in front of Ranma in cold blood, she was under MindControl from the arc's villains.

* If ''Franchise/{{Zoids}}'' fanfiction were to be believed, one would think Bit and Leena were ''constantly'' stealing each other's snacks, but it's only happened maybe once or twice on the actual show.
* Children's anime localizations have yet to live down the stain of such polarizing dubs as those of ''Anime/SailorMoon'' and ''Anime/CardCaptorSakura'', to say nothing of the disaster that was the Creator/FourKidsEntertainment dub of ''Manga/OnePiece'', despite the fact that there have been superior children's anime dubs such as those for ''Anime/SamuraiPizzaCats'' by Creator/{{Saban|Entertainment}} and ''Anime/FutariWaPrettyCure'' by Cloverway. Even with diamonds in the rough such as those two, just the very mention of a family entertainment specialist such as Saban picking up an anime such as ''Anime/SmilePrettyCure'' can and all too often does result in a BrokenBase.
** Hell, people have never lived it down for [[SubbingVersusDubbing dubs in general]]! As subbing purists equate even the act of dubbing with {{Macekre}} as a result of these, as if this applied to all dubs even the ones for adults.

** In the first season finale, the Inner Senshi all died and Usagi had to go on to fight Queen Beryl and then Metalia alone, drawing strength from her friends' spirits to keep her going. The only other season to do anything remotely similar was Stars, but from the way some fans talk about it you'd think every single big battle ended with Usagi whimpering as all her friends tuned into cannon fodder and finally using her power when their ghosts came back to pat her back. However, this isn't the case - while the original version does have ''some'' censorship (the scene where Piccolo blows a hole through Goku and Raditz is edited and shots of genitalia and FlippingTheBird are removed), it's largely negligable. However, the Creator/{{Toonami}} and home versions of the show don't have these changes, and when one compares the English dubs of the original show and ''Kai'', ''Kai'' is much less censored.

Must explain how an unfair exaggeration. They have a Memetic Loser entry covering that.

** Ash's Greninja will never, ever live down losing by Alain's Charizard and its Blast Burn, which had the side effect of handing Ash [[CrackDefeat his most infamous League loss]]. It had been hyped up for the entire season and it's an incredibly strong Pokémon in-game, but losing to an opponent ''[[ElementalRockPaperScissors while it had type advantage]]'', and to a move that didn't make sense for a Mega Charizard X anyway, created countless jokes along the lines of Greninja secretly being the world's most flammable Water-type.

*** He'll never live down wearing inflatable breasts in the MissingEpisode "Beauty And The Beach". On [[https://www.pojo.com/cartoon/whosJames.html this website]], him in a bikini makes up ''half the images'' on his character profile.
** Despite all the accomplishments that Ash has done over the years, fans still think he's a great failure of a trainer because, until he won the Alola League (which was rather oddly made), [[StatusQuoIsGod he's never managed]] [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption to win any qualifier tournaments]]. Even if more than half of those were because of something that wasn't due to his ability, like Charizard's disobedience combined with a persistent Team Rocket in the Kanto League or Tobias using [[OlympusMons Legendaries and Mythicals]] in the Sinnoh League.
