'''ITZY''' (Korean: 있지) is an South Korean GirlGroup. They debuted on February 12, 2019 with the extended play It'z Icy. The group initially drew attention for being "different" from the usual JYP formula: which later proved to be part of the group's debut concept "it's okay to be different". They are JYP Entertainment's first girl group to debut in four years since [[{{Music/Twice}} TWICE]] in October 2015.

JYP Entertainment's first girl group in four years after [[{{Music/Twice}} TWICE]], '''ITZY''' (Korean: 있지) debuted on February 12, 2019. The group initially drew attention for being "different" from the usual JYP formula: which later proved to be part of the group's debut concept "it's okay to be different".

* ChildPopstar: Yuna was only 15 in international age, 16 in Korean age when ITZY debuted. The other girls, while of age or on their way during debut, were also still teenagers.

* FamilyBusiness: Chaeryeong's older sister is Chaeyeon, member of IZ*ONE.

* LightFeminineDarkFeminine: They're all quite conventionally feminine, but in different ways. Glamorous, princess-like Lia; adorable, smiley [[TheBabyOfTheBunch baby of the bunch]] Yuna; and cheerful Chaeryeong represent the Light Feminine side. Yeji and Ryujin represent the more badass side of ITZY, but they're still decidedly feminine, often clad in skirts and dolled up to emphasize their pretty looks despite their tougher image.
