->''I'm getting bugged driving up and down this same old strip''
->''I gotta find a new place where the kids are hip''
-->-- '''I Get Around'''

''All Summer Long'' is Music/TheBeachBoys' seventh album released in their discography. The first album they released after the British invasion happened in the US.

This album is home to some major events in the band's career. One of its singles, ''I Get Around'', was their first song to top the US charts and put them up as the american answer to Music/TheBeatles. ''I Get Around'' as well as other songs such as ''Little Honda'', the title track and ''Wendy'' would go on to be staples in The Beach Boys concerts, establishing ''I Get Around'' as one of the band's definitive songs. It was also during this album's recording that manager/father figure Murry Wilson would be fired, leaving more artistic freedom for the band. This freedom includes a step back from the surf rock genre which defined their early sound (only one song on the album references surfing) while still keeping a summer vibe for this album.

While re-using and refining elements from their first five albums, ''All Summer Long'' has been considered to be one of the best Beach Boys early albums.
