*** The problem with this classification is that, as his backstory shows and the writers intended, Dartz was ''meant'' to come off as BrainwashedAndCrazy, indoctrinated by the Leviathan to the point that he ''geniunely believed'' that humans were inherently evil and that he was doing the right thing. He's really nothing more than a pawn, most likely used because he was [[spoiler:the King of Atlantis]] rather than from actually being a terrible person. Not that he's ''nice'' or even likeable, but the intent was clearly to depict ''[[EldritchAbomination the Leviathan]]'', not Dartz, as the real CompleteMonster.

* ''{{Yu-Gi-Oh}}'' has Yami Marik, a split personality off of the original Marik. Literally the first thing he does upon his original creation/release is [[spoiler:kill Marik's father brutally by skinning him alive with a bronze knife within the Millennium Rod, then immediately try to do the same to Marik's only friend, Rishid, though he was thankfully stopped when Rishid restrained his evil.]] When he got loose again during the finals of Battle City, he [[spoiler:imprisoned Mai and the real Marik within labyrinths of their own loneliness (and in Mai's case, this is after ''severely'' [[MindRape mind-raping her]] in their duel), attempted to murder Rishid several times, nearly killed Marik's older sister Isis, was knowingly roasting people with attacks from the Winged Dragon of Ra, set up a shadow game meant to actually kill the loser, used Marik's soul as his life point dispense (meaning that if he lost, his opponents would have to watch as the real Marik's soul was slowly eaten away), meaning even if he did lose, he'd get off scott-free either way because even if he did lose, only normal Marik would disappear]]. What a dick.

* Divine/Sayer. When we see him duel Rua/Leo for the first time, and [[spoiler: how cruelly he dealt with Carly,]] we see that he's a jerk. [[ItGotWorse Then he gets worse.]] [[spoiler:Turns out, only did he torture Misty's younger brother to death in a series of extremely dubious "tests" and try to turn Aki into a WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds, he framed poor Aki for the former and LAUGHED ABOUT IT.]] He is the most monstrous villain in 5D's, a series that thrives on the WellIntentionedExtremist theme. He gets a very satisfying KarmicDeath when Misty decides to let her [[EldritchAbomination Earthbound Immortal]] [[spoiler: literally eat him alive]].
** Takasu is a sadistic warden who views the prisoners implied to have innocent, as completely worthless to society and showing a great deal of racism towards them, which is hypocritically ironic since he's a ScaryBlackMan.
*** Lotten on the other hand, is a tyrant lording over a small western style town called Crash Town, who forces those he's defeated to join him or face slavery in the mines. Once he does get into an inconclusive match with Yusei, he actually sets up dynamite to kill them in the resulting cave-in, including an innocent child. Unsatisfied with the lack of slaves, he forces his own men to duel for their own freedom, which is stopped by Yusei and Kiryu. Once he does start to lose, he and his sister, Barb attempt to throw the duel and run away, but not before he [[KickTheSonOfABitch abandons the manipulative bitch of a sister, Barb]] to her fate and setting off explosives in the. Thankfully, Kiryu beats him and sends him to prison.

* Mr. Ishtar, Marik's father, is arguably a CompleteMonster. He obviously has no love for his family and is really just using Marik in order to continue the Ishtar tradition of protecting the Pharoah. The way he treats Odion (seeing him only as a servant instead of as his son and threatening to kill Odion for any failures in taking care of Marik on his behalf and was not above killing him for breaking the clan's rules) and how he tortured his own son [[spoiler:by carving hieroglyphs on his back at the initiation against his will]] is absolutely abominable.
* And let's not forget Yami Bakura, the [[SuperPoweredEvilSide evil alter ego]] of Bakura, who is the reincarnation of an Egyptian bandit who fought the Pharaoh/Yami Yugi. His first acts included attempting to kill/ send Yugi and his friends to the Shadow Realm in order to possess the [[MacGuffin Millennium Puzzle]]. He, of course, loses, but comes back soon after to attempt to use Mokuba as a new host until Tristan saves him. In Battle City, he enters the competition by sending three Duelists to hell/Shadow Realm after wining the duel with much satisfaction.
** His FreudianExcuse doesn't even hold alot of water in the present day, as he's [[spoiler: become a servant/vessel for the great demon god Zorc, and cares more about following Zorc's will for the sake of the world's destruction rather than revenge on the Pharaoh.]]
* Dartz, the filler villain of the "Waking the Dragons" arc, is horrible. To wit, he manipulates the lives of people to make them become his soldiers (ie, funded the tanks that killed Alister's brother, framed Valon for the burning of the church, and sank the ship that caused Raphael to lose his family and made him live on an abandoned island for at least two decades), sucks up the souls of humans and Duel Monsters alike for centuries to feed a super monster known as the Great Leviathan and then [[spoiler: uses the souls of Joey, Yugi, Mai and Pegasus as brainwashed pawns to shield himself from Kaiba and Yami, taunting them because he knew they wouldn't kill him.]]

The way he treats Odion (seeing him only as a servant instead of as his son and threatening to kill Odion for any failures on behalf of taking care of Marik and was not above killing him for breaking the clan's rules) and how he tortured his own son [[spoiler:by carving hieroglyphs on his back at the inituation against his will]] is absolutely abominable.

The Thief King is arguably Yami Bakura before he became a complete monster. Sure, he does some terrible things, but it\'s shown in the story that yeah, his Freudian exucse IS supposed to make us sympathise with him- just not with Yami Bakura. Besides, the Thief King, linearly, came first, so nothing Yami Bakura did can be used to argue that he\'s a complete monster. In that way, he\'s a completely seperate person.

His most evil acts come in the final arc [[spoiler: where, as the bandit, he desecrates the Pharaoh's father's grave, kills innocent people to boost his power, kills the Pharaoh's best friend/most loyal servant, and revives an evil god to destroy the world.]] Despite his FreudianExcuse, it's hard to forgive him after this.

** In the pre-Duelist Kingdom "Monster World" arc, it turns out that Yami Bakura was trapping people into figurines while they played a tabletop RPG with him.
* Dartz, the filler villain of the "Waking the Dragons" arc is horrible.
