* AdaptationalWimp: Liu Bei in the anime. Granted, the story IS about Cao Cao, and the anime itself barely gets past the battle of Guan Du (thus, Liu Bei never gets to his relevant battles with Cao Cao that might rectify this status), so Liu Bei is stuck in the timeframe where he's wandering around, running like hell from battles knowing he's massivly outclassed without Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to back him up.
