* BrickJoke: If you binge watch: [[spoiler: Toilet Paper.]]

* KimonoIsTraditional: When the main trio goes to the mall in episode 6/ chapter 13, they were surprised to see Ojou coming in with a full kimonos. The manga stated that's the first time she goes out with friends so she overdoes it. On the other hand, character bios indicates she follows a ''very'' traditional way of life.

** Otako is shown to be OlderThanSheLooks, as she is a 1st year high school student who appears to be a middle, or even an elementary schooler. Considering that her best friend is Galko, comparisons are plenty.

* NiceGirl: Galko is a kind individual who is willing to help her classmates.

* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: The main cast is only known by their archetypes.

* {{Otaku}}: Otako and Otao, of course.

* GyaruGirl: Galko, of course. She wears heavy makeup, paints her nails, styles her hair and dyes it blonde. However, she's a partial subversion because despite her name and appearance, she has ''zero'' experience with men, and gets easily embarrassed over her physique and what she says, as she sometimes accidentally says suggestive stuff.

* {{Fetish}}: Galko's older sister's boyfriend have a school-uniform fetish. Galko was absolutely {{squick}}ed when she learned that[[spoiler: her sister borrows her school uniform for dates, for use during foreplay.]]

** Nikuko's boobs are also at least comparable to Galko's, and her being fat has nothing to do with it. She was FormerlyFit and still has those boobs.

* AssShove: A skit in episode 1 discusses this. Galko even mentioned when she was in elementary school, a boy attempted to do this on her [[NoodleIncident and broke his finger in the process]]. [[spoiler:According to Chapter 20, that boy is Charao, something that Galko even blackmailed him into borrowing her some of his hair gel as she handle Bomb-o's bed head.]]

* BlindingBangs: The guy in the latter half of episode 8 who starts his monologue talking about how he finds Galko annoying, has bangs that hide his eyes.

* CoatCape: Sport-o always wear his jacket this way.

* DramaticIrony: Chapter 10/ the ''Is it true that there's a psychological test that evaluates how you have sex?'' skit in episode 5 depends on this trope. The boys and the viewers knows how to interpret the girls' answer to an seemingly innocent question as their sexual practice preferences, but the girls never know about that fact.

* SpearCounterpart: Two of the three background boys, Charao and Otao, are actually spear counterparts of Galko and Otako respectively.

* TemptingFate: In Chapter 4/Episode 1, Galko mentioned while spicy foods irritates her bottom, she's constipated at that point and it's OK to indulge in as much of it as she wants. Otako thinks it'd get worse when all of it eventually comes out--and Otako is right; the following day Galko's bottom is so irritated that she has problem sitting down.

* MistakenForProstitute: In episode 2, Galko said "Papa" (in English) would pay her if she made bread. Unfortunately, "papa" is also the term for the "other side" in CompensatedDating, which causes a misunderstanding. Galko almost immediately notices the looks and starts to protest that she slipped and she really always just calls him "Father", clearing up the misunderstanding while apparently completely oblivious to it.

* TheOjou: Ojou, of course.

The idea is simple--we have three ''very'' archetypal girls, [[SubculturesInJapan Galko]], {{Otak|u}}o, and {{Ojou}}, talking about girl stuff. The difference is, what they talk about is less than innocent.

* TheDitz: Ojou; this is her officially-defined attribute.
** DitzyGenius: However, she ''is'' at the top of class and aces other extra-curricular activities.

* {{Gainaxing}}: This happens with Galko when she's running during gym class ([[AllMenArePerverts much to the delight of the boys]]), but averted with Nikuko, who knows how to run and breathe properly so that her breasts don't move at all.

** Galko has very large boobs, far larger than both Ojou and Otako. Otako pokes fun at them at least once an episode. Her older sister has similarly large boobs.
** Nikuko's boobs are also at least comparable to Galko's, and her being fat has nothing to do with it. She was FormerlyFit and still have those boobs.

* DelayedReaction: This is the point in a skit in episode 9. Galko first talked about riding horses, then Otako warned that riding horses may break the hymen. Ojou then went on talking her riding experience, and only realized the meaning of what Otako said mid-sentence, then ''denying'' she's been riding!

* TeamMom: Galko definitely gives off shades of this, with her being prepared for just about any problem her classmates throw at her and her caring nature towards the elementary school boy. It's even implied she wants to be a mother herself when she's older!
