** Towards the end of ''VideoGame/TheElderScrollsIIDaggerfall'', you end up in position of a powerful tool (that you can't use yourself) that if handed to one of the powers of the Iliac Bay could firmly tip the balance in their favour. While three skimp on the promised payment, with only one of those is it intentional (the dialogue and code makes clear for the other two that you are ''meant'' to get what they promise, the game is just buggy), and it is the ''only'' one to go so far as to backstab you and send battlemages after you. [[spoiler: It's King Eadwyre of Wayrest]]. The sneering about your naivety could be taken as fitting given all the scheming and betrayal going on in the game, except every other alternative realises that not betraying you is the better option, whether out of being a better person, recognizing how lethally dangerous you'd have to be at that point, or being cognizant that there's one more adventuring task left before the tool can be used -- including the person you ''steal'' the tool from if you bother to hand it back personally.

While yes, Ashi was being an ungrateful jerkass, it's not her fault she was abused and raised to believe that Jack was evil and Aku was good.

* In a season 5 episode of ''WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack'', after killing most of the Daughters of Aku, Jack ends up saving the sole survivor, pre-HeelFaceTurn Ashi. When they get swallowed by a ginormous monster and Jack saves her from whatever lurks inside, Ashi (who is bound by chains at the time) is far from grateful, even trying to kill him when he's busy saving their skins.

*** He is just as ungrateful to his minions in ''Anime/DragonBallZResurrectionF'' where despite the fact that they revived him and saved him from endless years of torment in hell, he is still fully willing to use his minions as his punching bag and when Tagoma, the person who helped resurrect him offer a more pragmatic solution, Frieza's response is to either toss him out of the airlock or brutally beat him up as a training dummy for four months till he snaps (''Super'' version).

** It seems to be a recurring tendency in ''Anime/DragonBallSuper'' for a God Of Destruction to refuse gratitude from someone who helped them earlier and in some cases, made them angry even more.
*** In general, the very fact that none of the Gods are willing to credit Goku for the Tournament of Power counts, given the fact that Zen'O is planning to erase the 8 low ranked universes anyway and Goku actually gave them a fighting chance by having the last universe standing be spared from Zen'O's wrath. When Vados points this out to them, none of them are willing to listen citing Goku's non-chalant attitude and his closeness to Zen'O.
*** Despite the fact that Beerus gave Champa what he wanted by giving him Universe 6's earth, come Tournament of Power Champa still wants to take out Beerus first from the tournament despite the fact that losing the tournament means complete erasure.
*** While it is vague in the anime whether or not Rumsshi actually knew of Zamasu, in the [[Manga/DragonBallSuper manga]] he does knew of Zamasu's involvement and the fact that Beerus saved him but rather than appreciate or actually acknowledge it, Rumsshi is actually enraged that his most personal hated GoD did the job to stop Zamasu and actually hates Beerus even more due to the hide and seek incident years ago where Beerus falls asleep and the other 11 Gods Of Destruction has to do a lot of effort to calm him down.
*** In the manga during the Zen Exhibition match which in the version is basically a God Of Destruction battle royale, Sidra just saved him and the other four GoDs from Beerus's attack using a barrier. Belmod (whom mind you is one the saved ones) immediately kicks Sidra out of the arena soon after, citing that they are not really allies in this battle royale.

* ''Series/TheJeffersons'': Unlike what the episode title may imply, "Sorry, Wrong Meeting" is not a funny little story about accidentally walking into the wrong meeting, although the plot is most certainly about walking into the wrong meeting. To determine how to handle a series of burglaries in the Manhattan high-rise where the Willises and Jeffersons live, Tom plans a meeting; in the elevator, he runs into a man (who has just moved into the building) and his son, who are planning their own meeting. Tom -- unknowing that the gentleman is the master of the local chapter of TheKlan, and unknowing that the meeting is about running the Jeffersons out -- offers to come. George, Tom and Mr. Bentley (also a white man) arrive and discover that they have the wrong meeting. A loud argument eventually ensues, with George's natural talent of wit (along with Tom's reasoning and Mr. Bentley also using sarcastic wit) thwarting the leader's racist reasoning at every turn. Eventually, the Klan leader suddenly passes out, and George -- the only one who knows CPR -- manages to revive him and save his life. However, when the man's son tells him that George had saved him, the leader promptly tells his son that "You should've let me die" as the paramedics take him away (The audience gasps in disbelief at this point). His attitude makes the other members realize what they're doing is wrong and, when his assistant tries to resume the meeting, the others all leave the club en masse, with the son -- who had once admired his father and was starting to become the very racist image of him -- apologizes and takes a look at his own values.

** The Jedi in general count too. Oh hey look, here's this nice woman who let her son come and join us. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have the Chosen One in our order...What's that? She's still a slave? Oh never mind. We'll just let her suffer in slavery and then get tortured to death by savages. This also applies on a broader scale, what with the typical treatment of families who give up their ''children'' to the Order.
